"Gather 'round...Gather 'round. Prepare to feast your eyes on creatures of myth and legend. Don't scream, you might... provoke them". What the Doctor revealed was truly a scene from myth and legend. Creatures both peculiar and majestic, exactly as the tales of their appearance describe. It was almost too magical to be true.

A growing menagerie comes bursting forth, giving the Doctors even more creatures to bring to the streets of Venice. On the job learning sees an Apprentice doctor trying to become a master of zoology corralling their charges. The Basilisk possesses potent venom that can incapacitate any unfortunate enough to feel its bite. Launching a hail of spines from afar is the Manticore, an agile creature with lethal accuracy and unsettling appearance.

Swooping from up high with its claws to bare is the Hippogryph, a great aerial option that the doctors can put to good use. Finally there is the largest of the beasts, the mighty Hippocampus, this sea stallion is perfectly at home at the crests of waves. Charging onto the streets from the canals, this seahorse can stun and knockback any unfortunate enemies in it's path.

None of the creatures of the sea are immune to the powers of Dagon. Whether they’re spawned from a Matriarch, or some other machination, they all mindlessly obey their masters. Tearing apart the enemies of Dagon with tooth and claw, these monsters show no mercy.

The Caandru Eel can propel itself out of the water at lightning fast speeds, striking its target with a force akin to decending from above. A Brachyura is a tough as nails crustacean, only the toughest and strongest dare face it.

The Salaacia is an endless reservoir of water and is capable of drowning even enemies on dry land. A Bounding Telcine leaps and bounds around its allies, moving swiftly to and from objectives.

Although the Guild has many legitimate business concerns, they are still at their core a guild of thieves.

A thief strikes from the rooftops, taking out the unaware, absconding with their valuables and disappearing into a cloud of smoke. Poachers blend in with the scenery, lying in wait for their prey.

Perfectly content with hunting enemies of the Guild as well as wildlife, they can make their own ziplines to traverse rooftops with ease. Beggars support their gang with illicit information they pick up on the streets. They blend into their surroundings, either hidden or ignored. They make themselves known only when the Guild has need of them.

These silent nuns of the church follow Vatican soldiers into the streets of Venice and bring the power of the saints with them. They sacrifice their own life to impart the power of the divine upon their allies and the wrath of the Lord on their enemies.

This thing was like nothing he'd seen before... All arms, claws and teeth. With bubbling tanks of orange liquid feeding directly into open wounds carved open with a heavy hand, the monstrosity was a nightmare made manifest.

This monstrosity is one of the Doctor's foulest creations, the endless tide of limbs can tackle even the strongest of foes. Like a wave, the bodies can move through the smallest of spaces and no matter how long you fight, it will keep coming.

Templar Marshals are the Knights of Malta, experts in the field. Answering to the Knight Commanders, they are exemplary fighters. Years of training and a trial-by-fire in the Siege of Malta has made them masters of both melee and ranged combat. Now in Venice, the church puts their versatility to good use, sending them and a cadre of devout Maltese against the Vatican’s enemies.

This box brings some holy reinforcements for your Vatican gang. The templar provides a great all round hero that can both deal damage at ranged as well as in close quarters. He is accompanied by a Venator of Devotion, a faithful warrior who can cut down the largest of foes with her giant Zweihander great sword. Bringing prayer to the venetian streets is the Conventual chaplain, this character will allow any friendly soldiers to see the way with his psychic communion. These Templar Knights are supported by their loyal Maltese squire and Reliquary Page, who will aid their masters in any way in battle.

Hiring the Ottoman fleet brings along various methods of combat from the east. With legendary soldiers and black powder weapons, these new corsairs will surprise all enemies of the noble Patricians.  

This box is a great way to expand upon your seafaring Patricians. Coming to Venice from Constantinople, an Ottoman Janissary provides a commanding presence as well as a capable melee combatant. An Ottoman Cannoneer hefts around a weighty ranged weapon to put the hurt on foes from afar while the Ottoman Rigger climbs and rappels with ease. Finally a pair of Noble Seafarers serve as all-rounders and are as capable in-water as they are out of it.

Demagogue's are able to inspire and incite your forces to prove themselves to Dagon, as well as attack their enemies with a nasty Burning Brand. Urchins are young hybrids that are more than happy to dart around and stab unbelievers right in the shin!

Venice is home to many artists, but almost none of those are part of the Gifted. The Artist Maria Fioritura however has been affected by the rent and is now capable of bringing her paintings to life!

Maria Fioritura is one of the Gifted, people granted mysterious powers by the Rent in the Sky. Maria is a skilled artist, able to paint up her own Painted Protectors. These gesso guardians are incredibly tough knights, they're water soluble. Maria herself is a powerful mage, with access to 3 different disciplines as well as her own Creative Creation spell to summon her Painted Protectors.

Everybody forgets about Pierrot, the Commedia dell'Arte member that blends into the crowd. This everyman is able to be seemingly everywhere, always with the same blank expression on his face. It is his face, right?

Pierrot is the everyman, but everyone could be Pierrot. He's able to blend into the crowd and you're never quite sure where he could pop up next. If your opponent is using Pierrot he could be anywhere, that Gondoliere could be Pierrot, that Pierrot could be another Pierrot, even you could be another Pierrot!

The Cetean Upiór is one of Vlad Dracula's experiments with his masses of Strigoi. Made to feed on countless Rashaar, this creature has taken on more aquatic elements than even the Aquatic Strigoi. The Cetean Upiór is capable of swimming at speeds that would make even a Karcharos sweat. Its greatest strength is its serpentine body, which it puts to use to drag the enemies of Vlad to an early, watery grave.

This set is a great addition to any Doctors gang. The Doctor of Blood is a mage that has discovered the secrets of bloodletting by magic and fuels their own casting with it. A Morgue Doctor brings with them additional magic as well as a commanding presence. A Doctor of Venesection offers their support, though may struggle with heavy lifting. Fuelled by the Elixir of Death, a Brined Horror drags itself along with its masters and is a macabre horror made of spare sea creature parts

He put these experiments to good use in locating a stolen bride and laying waste to the Doctors that held her captive."

This box is a great expansion for any Strigoi player looking to move into the canals. A Ferryman is capable of transporting others via Gondola, great for when you don’t want to get your character’s feet wet. Two Sinkers can pop up and catch your opponents unawares, appearing suddenly from a body of water to swing their weights at unsuspecting opponents. A pair of Aquatic Strigoi have truly adapted to life under the water and are at their best neck deep in a canal.

"Varcolac is the name the Romani use to refer to this terrifying creature, its howls echoing through the night and into the nightmares of all the people of Venice"

The Varcolac is a mighty beast, with the speed and ferocity that the Strigoi utilise. When it strikes, its prey has no time to react with its claws cutting deep and piercing even the finest armour. The Varcolac gains its real power when the moon is at its brightest, but for all its strength it is a mindless animal that cares little for its own defence. It's sad to think this beast was once a man.

The Zoryi is one of Vlad Dracula's most horrific creations. A devolved beast that has had its fists merge and calcify into clubs made of bone and flesh. What makes this brutish Hero choice stand out, are its second pair of arms. These new limbs are a rebellion of the flesh and are capable of tearing through armour to get to the bloody corpse within.
