Dystopian Wars is a tabletop wargame of naval battles that uses highly detailed miniatures to represent huge engines of destruction on, above, and below the high seas. Set in an alternate late-nineteenth century called the Dystopian Age, super-science fuelled nations clash over resources and power. Battleships and cruisers sail the surface of the sea while sky fortresses and dirigibles soar in the sky above. Submarines lurk beneath the waves alongside squid automata and colossal mechs. Fighters and bombers circle, waiting to dive upon their prey. All of this combines for an intense, tactical experience.

The Rules and Gubbins set is perfect for players old and new, containing almost everything you need to play, barring an opponent and a fleet of your very own. Action Dice will allow you to roll all of your fleet's attacks and defensive measures, while Critical Damage Dice will determine exactly where and how your enemies' models suffer from your overwhelming firepower. The Victory & Valour Deck is critical to play, from making vital Crew checks to scoring Victory Points and making bold plays via valour effects. Numerous tokens and markers will allow you to absorb the state of the game at a glance. Measuring tools provide ranges and allow your enormous warships to turn with the appropriate grace. The Rulebook, meanwhile, will be your best friend, easily readable and full of cross references to help you find exactly what you need, when you need it.

The Victory & Valour Deck is integral to the game of Dystopian Wars. Each card has multiple uses that add to your tactical options. Victory Conditions allow you to maximise your Victory Point tally, guiding your fleet towards scoring Objectives, be it through destroying specific enemy units, or claiming strategic locations in the Play Area. In short, they can be your key to victory. Conversely, if you want to keep your opponent on their toes, you might want to make use of Valour Effects. These are immediate buffs to your models, and bonuses which can be used to add Action Dice, re-roll undesirable results, reposition your units, and so much more. Additionally, the Value on these cards will be utilised for your units’ Crew Checks, determining Initiative, and for other decisive moments in your game.

Whichever way you choose to use your cards, they can only be used once, so choose wisely! Mastering the Victory & Valour deck is vital to mastering the game of Dystopian Wars.

Legiones Astartes Combat Force. Includes one Leviathan Dreadnought equipped with a ranged weapons package, giving you the choice between any two of a cyclonic melta lance, grav flux bombard, or storm cannon, one Rhino transport vehicle, 20 Space Marines in MkVI power armour and a Heavy Weapons upgrade set including 10 missile launchers and 10 heavy bolters, letting you build each group of 10 as either a Tactical Squad or a Heavy Support Squad. Mechanicum Combat Force. Contains a unit of six Thallax Cohort miniatures, equipped with lightning guns and with the choice of giving two either phased plasma-fusils, photon thrusters, or multi-meltas; a pair of Castellax Battle-automata who can be equipped with shock chargers or power blades and a choice of shoulder-mounted weapon, with two mauler bolt cannons, one darkfire cannon, and one multi-melta included, plus one Thanatar Cavas Siege-automata with Hellex-pattern plasma mortar. The box includes two Mechanicum Macro-constructs transfer sheets each containing 394 transfers and two Mechanicum Constructs transfer sheets with 558 transfers each. Solar Auxilia Combat Force. Contains a 20-man Lasrifle Section alongside a Tactical Command Section of five miniatures that can instead be assembled as either a Line Command Section or a Legatine Marshal and their bodyguard of four Lifewards. Two Hermes Sentinels can be assembled as either the Light or Veletaris variants, with a multi-laser or grenade launcher for the former and a heavy flamer or a volkite caliver for the latter, while a Solar Auxilia Leman Russ with the choice of a battlecannon, twinned heavy lascannons or autocannons, or a long-barrelled Vanquisher battlecannon with a co-axial autocannon in the turret and one of five different hull weapons. This box includes two Solar Auxilia Infantry Transfer Sheets each containing 152 transfers and two Solar Auxilia Vehicle Transfer Sheets with 180 transfers each. Supplied unpainted and unassembled.
