The Beta is a towering, dreaded monstrosity of spawned pseudo-flesh, muscle, and bone. It is the largest horror the Bioficers can spawn on the battlefield. Its many long limbs and razor-edged appendages can rend a super heavy tank to tatters in seconds, and it can vomit acid to reduce infantry to steaming puddles. Also, a Beta can take a 
phenomenal amount of punishment. It must be pummelled into shattered pulp before it stops fighting. Enhancing and directing this nightmare is an onboard, high-level intelligence, lending the thing a malevolent consciousness. They take evident pleasure in inflicting huge devastation while directing hordes of lesser bio-constructs.

The Colonial Legions are the majority of the UCMA's fighting soldiers. They must face untold horrors in the name of humanity, armed with only a UM-3 rifle and basic but well-proven kit. One Legionnaire per 5-man team carries a UM-105 Missile Launcher for anti-armour firepower. What they lack in extravagance they make up for in resolve, courage, and above all, numbers. Each Legion contains around one million war fighters. However, the UCM sells the lives of its soldiers dearly, so fighting formations are usually mechanised and deployed at platoon level. Alula is a highly mobile tactical sentinel designed to protect nearby allies from enemy charges. Surprise Attack allows it to react once per round when an enemy engages an allied unit, disrupting the assault and helping reinforce the threatened position.

Forward Observer allows allied units to draw Line of Sight to anything Alula can see, opening opportunities to charge, shoot, or cast spells against otherwise concealed targets. With exceptional mobility and a low points cost, its greatest value lies in defensive reactions and the battlefield awareness it provides to the entire army.

The Headhunter is an elite sniper who marks the greatest enemy threat and pursues it until the target is eliminated. Study the Prey focuses his offensive abilities on a chosen unit, while Hunt the Prey and Orichalcum Bullets make his attacks both precise and difficult to block. Scout and Preferred Terrain help him reposition to maintain a clear line of fire.

The Bombardier serves as long-range heavy artillery, striking targets up to 18 strides away without requiring Line of Sight. Volcanic Eruption punishes clustered formations with damage and stress, while Risgallum Projectiles become increasingly dangerous against larger units. The Dwarves are a people of the stone. For thousands of years they have made their homes in mountain fastnesses and deep caverns - but these are no mean, rough-hewn spaces. For more than anything the dwarves are people who make. More than anyone in the World they are masters of mechanisms and art and craftsmanship beyond any of the other races whether in stone or wood or cloth or metal. Their Dwarvenholds are temples of wonder for those lucky few who are invited inside.

But their vast wealth has a dark facet: there are many who covet what the Dwarves own and are willing to fight to take it. Their greatest enemies are the goblin tribes who also make their homes in the dark places of the earth. Armies of orcs, ogres, or a necromancer’s undead host sometimes try their luck against Dwarven cities in the hopes of great wealth. The one threat the Dwarves fear the most is of dragons. Though they are few in number in this age, they can bring ruin and desolation all by themselves. Rumors of dragonkind are never dismissed lightly. 

When true war comes - when a War-King or the emissary of the High Queen calls - a Dwarvenhold’s muster is a sight to behold as hundreds and sometimes thousands of warriors march from their stone hall to bring their well-trained battle to the enemy.
