The year is 1795 and the Rent continues to cast its baleful gaze down onto La Serenissima, projecting a permanent eerie glow onto the city. Some harness the power of the Rent for their own goals, whilst the few work towards improving the lives of their fellow citizens. Venice is now a burning crucible of aquatic monsters, vampiric beasts, mad doctors, spoiled nobles, sinful priests and average citizens just trying to survive another day.

This is the new small Rulebook for Carnevale miniatures game and contains the most up-to-date ruleset for our period tabletop wargame. Between its 48 pages lies all of the rules and core gameplay mechanics you'll need to start playing Carnevale. Filled with beautiful new art pieces by our talented in-house team, along with several scenarios to help get you playing faster, this rulebook is a great place to start your adventure in Venice. 

The Vatican has unveiled a relic from a bygone age: a stone from the ancient Garden of Gethsemane. Harnessing the anguish of the Vatican, as well as the tears of countless pilgrims who visited the garden before the rent, they use rent magic and other sorceries to fuse wrathful spirits with huge pieces of debris, pillars, and other discarded stone to form the aptly named Gethsemane a, colossus that onlookers believe embodies the wrath of the Vatican. Shaped like a cat, it uses massive stone claws and crushing jaws to eviscerate and bludgeon anything in its path. If that fails, Gethsemane can rely on its sheer size to crush foes into paste, the very ground quaking beneath it as it lands. It is said to gain strength from the suffering and agony of the populace of Venice, making it almost impervious to any kind of physical or magical damage.

This box contains the legendary colossus, Gethsemane! The largest construct to ever be unleashed into Venice, even the followers of the 'true' faith give this beast a wide berth when it's unleashed onto the battlefield. Surprisingly catlike in nature, Gethsemane serpentines in combat before pouncing onto its prey before clawing it apart with extreme anguish.

Celebrating their achievements at the World's Faire, the Doctors present a plethora of new inventions for the people of Venice to revel in: from powered mech suits to exotic beasts that have been tamed and 'improved'.

There are others that would use the magic of the Rent for their own hedonistic perversions. The nobility of Venice, bored of their mundane existence, seek ever greater pleasures. This often leads to Masquerata - a truly horrific scene of mindless murder that lasts until the bloodletting has grown dull. Their next target seems to be the World's Faire itself, but the Doctors are prepared...

This box contains everything that two players will need to dip their toes into the fetid canals of Carnevale. Prepare yourself to swim, row, climb and jump your way into the World's Faire to foil the Doctor's nefarious plans for the citizens of Venice. In Carnevale, you can defeat your enemies by shoving them from rooftops, drowning them in the canals or engaging them in a duel, along with a plethora of other fashions, as this game offers fully three-dimensional gameplay in a narrative skirmish game.

Contained within are 2 small gangs - the Patricians and the Doctors. There is a full 48-page rulebook explaining the rules and scenarios of the game. Everything in this set is designed to get you playing quickly, including plastic miniatures, through to the push-together cardboard scenery, fold-out play mat, dice, quick reference cards for characters, rules, and several scenarios to help teach the basics of the game.

Gonsoku is a vision of death in motion. A phantom, a blur, whose every movement is precision made flesh. His attacks unfold in bursts of silver light and shadow, each strike moving so fast it appears as if mirrored by his spectral double. When he enters combat, enemies feel as though they face not one opponent but two, both lethal, both relentless.

Though he lacks durability, Gonsoku’s mastery of momentum makes him nearly untouchable. He weaves through foes, appearing where they least expect, vanishing before retaliation can land. Every strike apply effects that make him and his allies stronger, or that weaken his foes. To fight him is to fight inevitability itself—a blur of motion and determination that ends in triumph.

Lyra fights like a ritualist, binding blood and flame to her command. Her Crystal Dagger flickers with hungry magic, carving pathways for demons to claw their way into Mideon. Blasts of raw energy drain life from her foes, sucking little pieces of their soul to dark and terrible realms. Her regenerative ability sustains her, while her ability to siphon life to heal allies makes her both guardian and tormentor.
