The Havana is the earliest type of destroyer currently in service with the UCMF, having first seen combat with the Shaltari in 2596. Its design stems from older and largely outmoded naval strategies revolving around the use of torpedoes as primary weapons.
The Vancouver class emerged from the UCMF Naval Design Bureau in the late 2640s in response to the obvious need for more cost effective fighter and bomber support than the well armed Seattle class offered.
The Kyiv is an interesting vessel, in that it features a pair of super-heavy UF-9000 series mass drivers in a fixed position. These impressive weapons are heavier gauge than those mounted in almost any other UCMF warship, save the mighty dreadnoughts. The mission role of Kyiv class is to hunt and kill the most heavily armoured enemy vessels with swift brutality. They are unsubtle sledgehammers and the bane of enemy flagships. Many an enemy admiral has met their ignominious deaths at the hands of this smaller adversary since its inception in the 2640s.

The sleek design of the UCM Destroyers uses the typical fins of the UCM and arranges them in three completely distinct ways for three completely different ships! At 1750 metres long and triple a Battleship’s displacement, Dreadnoughts are the most powerful warships ever produced by mankind. Their prodigious firepower allows a single one to engage and annihilate a small fleet unassisted. Commanded by only the most decorated Admirals, each of these mighty vessels is a legend in its own right. The London class packs a staggering array of conventional mass drivers - fifty, to be exact. The rarer Washington class can unleash a swarm of bombers equivalent to an entire carrier taskforce.

Introducing the biggest ships that Dropfleet Commander has ever seen. One of the most detailed spaceship kits of all time, the UCM Dreadnought measures 195mm long, with the twin-bodied hull synonymous with UCM engineering.

Frigates are small, fast combat vessels designed primarily for flanking and first strike missions. They are the most common fighting ship type present in most fleets in the Reconquest. Some variants also provide vital support roles complementing the efforts of the main fleet.

Although stalwarts like the Beijing continue to be built, the Admiralty wanted new capabilities, modernity, and lethality. Launched in 2673, UCMS Hanoi was the first of this new breed of monsters to lumber from Niccolum’s yards. The embodiment of focused colonial naval architecture, the Hanoi is built around twin UF-12000 mass drivers, making it a supreme capital ship killer.

This can be used to assemble two Battleships for your UCM Fleet. The first is the Dehli, this heavy carrier ship can drop large forces from orbit on it's bulk landers and still deal out mass firepower to keep the enemy at bay. Alternatively the kit can be assembled as the Hanoi, this ship sacrifices launch assets due to the massive UF-12000 Twin Mass Driver. This weapon can cripple any ship no matter the size.

The Lysander class Lighter has been a lynchpin in the UCM’s covert ops since it entered service in 2669. It is the UCMF’s first fully cloaked warship, pushing multiple 1st gen classified stealth systems to their current limits of scale. The class is equipped for extended infiltrations including limited surface landings to scout potential invasion sites and support Resistance groups.
Initially the class was Level-6 classified and generally reserved for Marine Force Black - the UCM’s most elite troops under the Office of Naval Intelligence. Rumours circulated among the admiralty, where demands for access to such a tool grew from whispers into shouts. As the Battle for Earth loomed, the Lysander’s existence was confirmed and production ramped up. While still precious assets, limited numbers are now available to support regular frontline operations and first strike incursions.

With superlative stealth capabilities, this little ship is the perfect special ops craft.

Cast in a single piece, the model has fine detail and a smooth canopy synonymous with UCM design. Lysanders have Full Cloak and a Signature of 0", which makes them some of the stealthiest ships in the game - rivals even to Scourge! The Lysander has bays of Dropships and can even scan Clusters, making it a valuable target for your opponents, who will have to dedicate significant resources to dealing with these outliers.

The Istanbul is a typical naval defence monitor. Frigate-sized, it features armour as thick as a battleship’s and low speed to match. UCM Monitors achieve this through dispensing with Foldspace capability; they must be brought into system by tugs - large vessels under the auspices of the Fleet Logistical Corps. Once in system, its undersized, overstretched sublight thrusters slowly get the monitor into position.
This massive sacrifice of mobility also frees up considerable power for weapons, allowing the Istanbul to be over-gunned for its relatively small size. It features a massive UF-B-9000 mass-driver, in a unique, rotating mount; supporting its defensive role. This allows the Istanbul to easily engage targets in higher orbital layers or directed towards the surface for bombardment.
The Vienna mounts an anti-ship laser - the smallest UCM ship to be able to do so - due to its otherwise low power requirements. It also fits into a quite different role: that of battleship escort. Used in this way, its laser serves the useful secondary purpose of heating the target, assisting the much larger ship’s gunnery. Given this application, the Vienna also mounts additional point-defence clusters for limited aegis capability.

These small ships are slow moving, and struggle to manoeuvre, but make up for that by targeting between Low and High Orbit without penalty, and having unparalleled armour for that size of ship.

This pack makes three ships, buildable as either Istanbul class Monitors or Vienna class Escort Frigates. The Istanbul has a UF-8-9000 Mass Driver, which is a ludicrous weapon for a ship of its size, usable either as a regular weapon or a Bombardment system, providing danger for all orbital layers. The Vienna on the other hand is faster and offers both Aegis (4) and the Mamba Laser - the smallest Burnthrough laser in the game! With the traditional Burnthrough and Flash, it's a great weapon for softening up enemy ships and leaving them vulnerable to larger vessels.

"When I shipped out for Basic, these stations were all theory and politics, now look! This station is one of three hundred geosync platforms. That hangar up top can spit out more fighters than a capital ship. With coordinated fire from torpedo stations, nothing's getting past this line."

With a blocky build and grey paint job, the UCM theme is hard to miss. These new small stations are no exception and it will show any enemy of mankind that they're dug in and ready to hold the line!

Rather then bringing arms to bear, these stations pack launch assets that can support the rest of the UCM fleet. The first variant builds the UCM Defence Hangar that can send Fighters and Bombers into the fray to counter enemy ace pilots. Due to the attrition the UCMF suffered during the Battle for Earth, several manufacturers have gained lucrative military contracts. The Titania Aerospace Corporation continues to innovate and is now capable of producing small quantities of combat capable cruisers.

The Titania New Rio and New Berlin (named after the cities on Titania) are the product of the newly operating Titania Fleet Systems. It's two flagship cruisers are optimisations on already existing designs, the Rio and Berlin. Matching their combat performance blow for blow, the Titania variants offer a greater operational lifetime, reducing time spent undergoing refits in drydock.

While deployed in small numbers, the maintenance cost of smaller engagements and general wear and tear is a great improvement over their Nicolum counterparts. Despite this the UCMF is slow to adopt these efficient designs, due to the lack of spare parts and no compatibility with current UCM designs.

These ships offer an alternate visual style but still follow the normal rules for the UCM Rio and Berlin cruisers.

They seemed to come from nowhere, without warning. The Alliance battlefleet of Italian vessels had no time to prepare, barely even enough to power up heat lances. Fighters slashed the sky as Amo Carrier Frigates broke the surface following their submerged approach, small hatches opened on their surface and small drones launched into the sky almost immediately. The Enlightened formations remained uniform as they closed the distance; pre-programmed and soulless. From another direction came the flagship. The Xenophon Battlecruiser ploughed through the waves, still glistening wet from its underwater, surprise attack. Particle beams pierced the hulls of Alliance vessels as men still ran to battlestations. The screams of steel and souls were drowned out by the screech of Enlightened Scythe fighters, strafing the set-upon ships, aiming to exacerbate the damage caused. Finally, as disarray swept across the Alliance fleet, almost as if it were a tangible encompassing cloud, then came the Lovelace cruisers. Striking deep at the heart of the enemy, more green beams of light sliced across filigree armour plates and pierced deep into gaping holes in the superstructure of larger vessels, that were as yet unsunk.

Before long, it was over with the victims of the attack never knowing why. It might have been a territorial dispute or something altogether more esoteric in the minds of the Enlightened officers. By the time the wavelurking ships submerged, there was little left to show what had happened. Flaming patches of oil, an occasional lifeboat that went unnoticed and some potential salvage for whoever passed this way next.

THE DAEMON CLASS BATTLESHIP

The Daemon class battleship and its sister class the Dragon are undoubtedly the oldest designs of starships still in service with the Scourge navy, behind the rarely seen Super Dreadnoughts. Their segmented hulls and undulating forms are quite different from most modern Scourge ships and the extent of their pitting, battle scars and general ageing have resulted in dating estimates of between 500 and 2000 years old for some examples. The disturbingly organic prow of the Daemon class is laced with oculus weapons and tipped with a pair of furnace cannons, making these veteran slaughterers among the most potent ships the hated aliens have to throw at mankind.

THE DRAGON CLASS BATTLESHIP

Similar to the Daemon, the Dragon class battleship is a truly ancient behemoth that has weathered the centuries to visit devastation and misery on countless subjugated races. While the Daemon is equipped solely with conventional ship-to-ship weapons, the Dragon includes a pair of cavernous hangar bays, lairs for roosting fighters and bombers. It also carries a pair of enormous Scourge torpedoes - capital ship killing superweapons against which there is little defence save fleeing the Dragon’s inexorable advance.

THE JOHANNESBURG CLASS BATTLECRUISER

Following the success of the experimental Atlantis program, the Johannesburg class was designed around an entirely new hull created for the specific requirements of battlecruisers. Its primary armament is a pair of huge quad UF-6400 mass driver turrets, a more potent array of this calibre than a Beijing class battleship. It also features launch capacity equivalent to a Seattle class Fleet Carrier. In combination with the speed necessary to keep up with cruisers, it is a superlative and flexible killing machine.

THE PERTH CLASS BATTLECRUISER

The Perth class dispenses with the largest mass drivers in favour of an enormous Viper super-heavy anti-ship laser, one of the largest weapons ever to be mounted to a UCM vessel. This colossal weapon takes up over half the ship's length. It is devastating if unsubtle when fired and fully capable of neatly slicing a cruiser in two. The Viper's obvious energy signature necessitates use by a skilled captain if enemy retribution is to be eluded. The massive generators and power storage facilities needed to feed this beast of a weapon precludes the launch bays featured in the Johannesburg, although the Perth compensates by doubling the UF-4200 mass driver armament of its sister class.

The prototype submersible Nautilus was famously appropriated from the Crown by the daring and swashbuckling privateer Captain Rani Nimue. Her loyal and eclectic crew have adventured the globe, their tales of seeking legendary artefacts and fabulous treasures are the fodder of lurid tales that captivate all who hear them. As a mercenary, the Nautilus serves any with the coin, even the Crown who reluctantly must pay for the services of their own erstwhile submersible. 

The flagship of the Canadian Atlantic Defence Fleet, the HMCS Tilloch Galt gained renown in action against the Imperium during their attempt on the Labrador Sea in 1873 and against the Commonwealth during the Ghosts of Midwinter in 1876. She inspires any battlefleet she fights alongside and has become a symbol of Canadian naval power. Merchant vessels making the long journey between the British Isles and Canada cheer in welcome when they come under the protection of the Tilloch Galt and her unbreakable Guardian Generator array.

As the squadron of Levant skimmers passed by the port, they forced a spray of seawater into mist with their repulsor generators. A sparkle of rainbow light delighted everyone who saw it. The same sunshine glimmered off gold filigree that was yet to be damaged in combat. They were a glorious sight, inspiring awe in all those who were gathered at the dockside. It was no secret that these support cruisers were passing by while gaining additional supplies before they left France for whichever exotic sea needed protection in the name of the glorious Latin Alliance. It was a humble crowd of fishermen, their families and the everyday folk that kept this small town running from day to day. Carpenters, shopkeepers, and technicians who kept everything ticking over. It wasn’t often that they saw anything from the navy pass by so children had made pennants and bunting to wave the hovering vessels off. These were support cruisers themselves. Gascony and Alma class cruisers made sure the warships could do their job serving the Alliance's many outposts spread across the globe. Theirs was not the glory of combat but a job just as important. It was no accident that they had been ordered to stock up supplies here, the many publicists in service to Napoleon III knew the importance of keeping up the morale of the common man.

Huge mechanical constructions lay immobile at the bottom of the sea. The darkness, only occasionally broken by the bioluminescence of strange creatures never seen by man. Uncategorised organisms began to converge, drawn in by the only source of heat for miles around. Crustacea gently crawled across the surface of the metallic things, testing to see if this was an unusual form of whale fall. With no food to be found, the gathering was small. There was no meaning here, base forms of life acted purely on instinct, akin to windup toys, simply performing the mechanical tasks of survival. The metal knew nothing, it merely was. Deep within giant carapaces a kind of survival was also happening. RJ-1027 pulsed through tubes which heated steam to create pressure in pistons that in turn prevented the ember of readiness from being extinguished in this dark place. A living thing might have been considered to be waiting had it been alive but instead, it was only being, until something else impelled its motion. Time passed.

Without warning, the great steel worms began to move. Gentle at first as they performed diagnostics, checking for damage or inoperative parts. Then the surroundings were suffused with a green glow as they powered up fully, bafflingly complex if/then mechanisms reacting to the commands given by an Enlightened vessel, unseen on the surface. Had someone seen it they might have been fooled into thinking these colossi were alive, they were designed to appear so, after all. Engines urged them forward within hours they would be involved in a violence that would cut the meaning from scores of human lives. Others would never forget the terrifying forms of the Aronnax as they bore down upon their ships, massive jaws tearing through hulls with ease. Stories of sea beasts would chill the hearts of those who heard them but the metal things would have no opinion of any of it. They were simply tools, used as any others by the all too human Covenant of the Enlightened.

Despite orders to the contrary, Captain Vanya Sokolov gave the command to push forward to attack the flank of the Diyu class vessel ahead. After months patrolling the Sea of Okhotsk finally, there was action and an enemy to fight. If he achieved the first kill, it would only be a matter of time before a promotion was due. Surely the cursed Commodore Belyaev only wanted him to hold back so that he could get the honour of first blood. Captain Sokolov couldn’t help but admire the craftsmanship of the Diyu as he closed the distance. The jade green tiles that covered the roofs, ornamental dragonheads cast onto the muzzles of guns and the rich golden lacquer made the Empire ships look like works of art, glinting in the sun. Sokolov vowed to take one as a prize and gave orders to flank the squadron of Diyu and prepare the marines for boarding. As the Kutsov under his command broke formation he could almost hear the cheers he’d receive once this battle was over. Soon, the reverie was blown away as the Empire ships began to turn on the spot, a manoeuvre impossible for the Commonwealth ships. It was then that Captain Sokolov realised that his pride had come before his fall and he slipped back into his chair with resignation. His last thought was a prayer of forgiveness before he and the scores of men under his command were engulfed in alchemical flame.

The Vauban is the largest and the oldest of the early generation levant vessels still in service to the Republique. Photojournalists at the time of her launch captured the Vauban in the imagination of the French people. An indelible image is left of an engineering marvel hanging majestically low in the sky, sending waves of her heroic fighters and bombers to victory.

It is said that in the weeks following the public showing of the first Vauban Sky -Fortress, French military recruitment centres reported a 22% increase in people signing up. Requests for an assignment within the Service Aeronautique were so prevalent that public relations officers had to be brought in to veer the public into positions that were more needed. Young recruits were persuaded into infantry roles with the promise that it might lead to an assault position on a Levant cruiser with promotion to a Vauban on the horizon. These things, while certainly possible, were in reality quite unlikely.

Many a lucky pilot would rise to the fortunate position of crewing a Frelon Bomber. These incredible aircraft seem impossibly large when standing next to one, so much so that the wings were designed to fold in order to fit them aboard carriers; even the mighty Vauban can only carry limited squadrons. The significant payload of the Frelon bomber allows them to cause serious damage to enemy fortifications as well as the largest capital ships and armoured divisions.

Now the Vauban has the reputation of having the best of the best crews among the Service Aeronautique. While a small percentage of those original recruits have found their way to their dream positions, those that have got there have done so with hard work, dedication, and a not-insignificant amount of luck. This luck has rubbed off on the Vauban class, with each one having a story of defeating seemingly insurmountable odds. At least, that’s what the publicists say.

The Khodynka Heavy Skycruiser “Nebesnaya Gora” hung in the sky, defiant against the laws of nature. Ablative armour plates had been blown off and small fires were being extinguished by weary skymen. The engine at the heart of the beast rumbled on, with nothing but the occasional splutter to suggest there was anything wrong at all. The Commonwealth fleet had been ambushed while making routine patrols around the Barents Sea, The Scions of Jutland had appeared like wolves in the night and unleashed a stream of rockets that would have obliterated a lesser vessel. Only the crew of Nebesnaya Gora understood that this night would be a loss to the Scions. Steel, molten from the intense heat of the barrage fell from the sky and yet the Khodynka remained in the air, only having lost redundant systems and armour designed to fail without letting worse damage through. As the battle went on, more damage was sustained by both sides. Scions and Commonwealth crew alike sharing a freezing tomb. Only the Nebesnaya Gora remained, damaged but stoic and impressively, still airborne.
