• The Ferrum has a single purpose on the battlefield: to deploy and control up to eight Starsprite drones. A single Ferrum can replenish the swarm from its voluminous internal hangar should any losses be sustained.

The largest thing you can drop in a UCM army! The Ferrum Drone Base is a support unit beyond measure. It's pretty tough, with a bunch of damage points. Its Point Defence Launchers help it to deal with any aircraft getting too close, but you're really here for the drones. Able to launch 4 Starsprite Drones per round, these little critters fly around causing trouble to whomever they please. AA and Focus means they're able to take on aircraft, or combine their fire to take out heavily armoured vehicles as well.

Contains 9 multi-part resin miniatures: 1 Ferrum Drone Base with choice of 2 ramps and 2 command centres, and 8 Starsprite Drones.

Resin miniatures supplied unpainted and unassembled. This kit will require cleaning and assembly, and could need some small holes filled. Any miniatures or scenery are shown for scale only and not included.

  • The Firedrake is a fearsome gunship. Its exotic Spatial Disruption Cannon projects a region of unstable dimensionality ahead of the muzzle, inducing contortion and warping effects on anything caught in the maelstrom. The Frostdrake is a modified command variant of the Firedrake, dispensing with gate capacity in favour of an underslung Foe Crusher Cannon. This monster amplifies gravity at the point of impact, compacting heavy targets to destruction under their own mass.

The Firedrake Heavy Assault gate is a fantastic addition to an army. The Firedrake, in addition to being a gate, also bolsteres an area of effect Disruption Cannon which excels the closer it is to its target. Alternatively the Frostdrake Command Ship is a brutal killer. It features the Foe Crusher Cannon with the Devastor 3 against Tanks & Walkers; as well as Devastator 4 against Large units. Both Aircraft host some impressive Counter Measures making them tough units to take down.

Contains 1 multi-part resin miniature with parts to make either a Firedrake Heavy Assault Gate, or the Frostdrake Command Ship.

Resin miniatures supplied unpainted and unassembled. This kit will require cleaning and assembly, and could need some small holes filled. Any miniatures or scenery are shown for scale only and not included.

  • Time and again combined arms have been a winning formula on the battlefield. The UCM AA team compliments standard legionnaires, upping the defensive capabilities of the infantry, often saving them from bombing runs.

The UCM's combined arms approach is super beneficial in-game. With Flak AA Teams as an Exotic choice, you've got an option for decent (if not ground-breaking) anti-air fire all through your Frontline Battlegroup. Their mobile defensive setup also includes Active Countermeasures, which means they're some of the only Infantry that are protected from long-ranged firepower - even more annoying for your opponent!

Contains 12 single-piece resin miniatures with 4 plastic bases to make 4 units.

  • Freeriders form the backbone of almost any Resistance recon patrol and utilise extremely fast bikes to zip around battlefields and explore behind enemy lines.

Zoooooom! They're fast, they can come out of a drill, and they're armed with Sticky Mines. Why wouldn't you want Freeriders in your army? Their Machine Guns aren't the best weapon in the game, and they're probably better off staying outside of Garrisons too. But if you speed past an enemy unit, you get to stick a Sticky Mine on them, dealing automatic Energy 9 hits! Zoom and boom!

  • The Gaia represents one of the crowning achievements of Shaltari teleport gate technology. An intricate yet vast marvel of stunning complexity, It is the largest of its kind yet encountered on the battlefields of the 27th century.

What can we say about the Gaia? Do you want to deploy and then reposition your forces at a moment's notice? Do you want to do that with the most transport capacity available? Well look no further! Shaltari Gates are typically unarmed (other than a Reaction Fire with Charged Air), so the Gaia does one thing and it does it well: teleporting hedgehogs.

  • The Gladius heavy battle tank is the armoured fist of the UCM, a large, resilient vehicle capable of taking on the toughest of opponents.

A Gladius Heavy Tank is twice the tank of the Sabre. Literally - it's twice as tough and has twice as many guns! Armed with either Twin Avenger Railguns or the huge Quake Accellerated Mortar, you've got some options too. Twin Avenger Railguns are excellent anti-tank weapons (with twice the shots!). Meanwhile the Quake Accelerated Mortar is a solid Indirect fire weapon, able to take out most enemy vehicles, and with Devastator-3 against Scenery to boot.

Contains 2 multi-part resin miniatures with parts to arm all with either Twin Avenger Railguns or Quake Accelerated Mortars.

  • The M9 Hannibal had been the main battle tank of the prewar armies of humanity for over a quarter of a century before the Scourge invasion. Armed with either a 120mm Punisher Cannon or a HI-EX Hammer Cannon, one is a versatile battle tank, while the other is a deadly siege engine.

The Hannibal is a favourite in Resistance armies, and it's easy to see why. It's touch as nails with 15 Armour and 2 Damage Points, and has a lot of firepower too. A 90mm Cannon can damage any vehicle, and that firepower is doubled (with extra Energy) thanks to the standard 120mm Punisher Cannon. A tank-hunter with few equals! Alternatively arm the Hannibal with a HI-EX Hammer Cannon and see scenery explode thanks to Devastator-4. Although it's dangerously short-ranged, who cares when all that's left is a pile of rubble?

Is there anything more UCM than a Railgun? These troops carry one each! Although they don't pack as big a punch as their larger cousin the Sabre, the Compact Railguns work best when combined into higher damage thanks to Focus-2. They're able to damage a lot of enemies easily, what's more, the Hazard suits are really survivable with Armour 9, Resilient, and forcing re-rolls on all Collateral Damage. These suits are here to stay!

  • Often seen as the pinnacle of PHR walker technology, the Hera has long been seen on the battlefield, often housing the most prominent commanders. With its thrusters it is able to redeploy rapidly, better able to dictate the flow of battle. It's unknown how, but while UCM intelligence has recognised the command role Heras often play, destroying one seems to have little to no effect on the command structure of the army.

The Command Walker for the PHR really! Heras are solid units on their own, able to move quickly when needed, to get that all-important Command Radius into the right place. A pair of Heras comes with the added ability that they only need one to be upgraded to a Commander; their Neural Uplink Network making sure that Commander lasts all game.

  • The Intruder is the smallest and fastest of all Scourge dropships and is designed to ferry a range of lighter cargo to the battlefield. It is armed with the same deadly plasma hose as the Marauder, making a large group of Intruders a particularly dangerous foe.

As far as transporting elite units goes, the Intruder is one of the best around. Extremely fast, and surprisingly well-armed, it's a must in most Scourge armies. This set allows you to make either the Intruder Light Troopship or the Intruder Light Dropship, using optional parts. The Troopship ferries infantry around (it's great for Eviscerators), while the Dropship carries smaller Drone walkers and even the Despot Suppression Walker.

  • The Jaguar is perhaps the most iconic, and certainly the most distinctive of all Shaltari vehicles. It is a towering yet graceful tripod walker over 30 feet in height, bristling with advanced weaponry.

Synonymous with Shaltari, the Jaguar is the epitome of walker design. Scuttling on three legs (it's practical, honest), this massive unit is the equal of three main battle tanks. Armed with Twin Ion Cannons on top, it will be extremely annoying to enemy aircraft. The sides can be armed with either Twin Gauss Cannons for armour piercing abilities, or Twin Heavy Bio-Atomisers to deal with entrenched infantry.

  • The Janus is one of the smallest PHR walkers encountered, focusing on forward observation, recognisance and urban patrol. While much less resilient than its larger cousins, it is considerably faster and far more nimble. Armed with Stealth Missile Batteries, they are still a formidable threat. Hermes Disruption Walkers have also been encountered. These walkers forgo direct firepower for a disrupting sonic hum which vibrates at deliberate frequencies to cause extreme discomfort to nearby infantry. UCM Legionnaires have reported effects from nosebleeds to crippling migraines and dizziness all the way to ruptured blood vessels and even death when exposed for too long.

With the Scout Walkers you have two options: cheap and surprisingly effective anti-light armour, or super annoying. The Janus comes complete with a Stealth Missile Battery, which provides decent Penetrative firepower. The Janus' main goal is to provide line of sight for Indirect fire weapons, and it's cheap enough to make that worthwhile. Meanwhile the Hermes has very little direct damage (just a Minigun), but its Sonic Disruptor makes it all but impossible for nearby infantry to search for Objectives. Use them carefully and you'll be able to completely avoid one part of the board for the first few turns as your opponent scrambles to deal with these little walkers.

Contains 4 multi-part resin miniatures with parts to make all as either Janus Scout Walkers or Hermes Disruption Walkers.

  • The Katana is built upon a lighter, nimbler version of the more common Sabre-type chassis. In a further effort to save weight, UCM military engineers have also adopted less power-hungry weapon systems: either a twin high-velocity cannon, or a formidable flamethrower.

The Katana Light Tank is a great alternate Standard choice for UCM commanders. Although lighter armoured than the classic Sabre, its increased movement speed really helps to get stuck-in. With shorter ranged weapons, that's important! A Twin Cannon has the classic UCM accuracy, and 2 shots helps it deal with all manner of light to medium armoured enemy units. Or go for a Flamethrower to deal devastating firepower straight onto infantry in Garrisons - a squad of Katanas with Flamethrowers are a dangerous prospect for any foe!

  • The Longbow is a one-man crewed, multi-role artillery unit, built around a rotating self-loading ammunition chamber, in much the same manner as a revolver of old Earth. The Crossbow meanwhile takes a more direct approach, armed with a high powered laser, it can be used as a sniping support unit.

It's a 2-for-1 sale on artillery support units! Both the Longbow and Crossbow are excellent choices, filling slightly different roles. The Longbow Howitzer is an excellent light artillery piece, armed with Indirect Armour Piercing Shells, Daisy Cutter Shells, and even Smart Smoke for obscuring friendly units. Meanwhile the Crossbow is a direct fire weapon which has the ever-loved Destroyer rule, and helpfully cannot have its Accuracy modified more than +2 - meaning you'll get to use that Destroyer bonus all the time!

Shaltari commanders are warlike beyond reproach and although drawing attention to the presence of a leader is often deadly, the Shaltari's martial honour precludes such tactics, displaying their arrival proudly.

The Lynx Chiefstrider is what you'd want to march to war into. It's seriously pimped out. It has a dazzling hat that will attract the attention of any suitor, although will also help through bizarre magic-science to predict and direct the flow of battle. The Lynx also has a groovy VIP lounge on its back, although in-game the Command Module is best used to escape danger for your Commander - rocketing away to help keep them alive until the game ends.

I don't care what tech you have stuffed in your head, you can't say no to this absolutely beast of a unit. While the Ares Walker and the Phobos Walker both have very specific roles (anti-tank and anti-air respectively), the Menchit takes a combined arms approach. Able to be equipped in four different configurations, you can use this walker to fill the gaps in your army. Anti-infantry? Flamethrower and Triple Minigun. Anti-armour? Styx Autocannon. • The Minder is a tiny aerial craft, although it is still exceedingly hazardous to approach. Armed with a small version of the deadly Arc Caster, the Minder exists solely to cover invasion armadas from air attack. When the Scourge host of a Minder grows old, it starts to crave violence. Usually these Drones are refitted with Shard Cannons, and nicknamed Emeritus Drones. While the Shard Cannons can be potent against infantry in the open, their true strength lies in their final act - destroying themselves in a fiery blast, taking everyone nearby with them.

Both Minders and Emertius Drones are Scout choices for the Scourge, helping extend Command range and also providing firing lines for their (albeit quite rare) Indirect weapons. Minders are best suited for intercepting enemy aircraft, using their short-ranged Micro Arc Casters to bring down Dropships. Meanwhile the Emeritus Incendiary Drones are all about getting close very quickly to use their devastating Self-Destruct to remove most things in a large radius!
