Following Ragnarok and the burning of Yggdrasil, the Jotun threatened all human life in the northern continent. The emergence of the Einherjar from their slumber brought their dominance to an abrupt and final end. With their greatest Shaman-Kings broken, the Jotun were made to bend the knee and swear allegiance to their Einherjar and their human subjects. Today, the few remaining Eihnherjar can grant truly exceptional leaders authority over one of these towering behemoths. Strong and tireless, a Jotun is a priceless asset to the community he is assigned to. Some enterprising Jarls are willing to bring them along on raids. Ruinously expensive to transport and feed while at sea, Jotun soon prove their value on land. Towering over 6 meters, a Mountain Jotnar is a primordial force of destruction on the battlefield. Their powerful limbs can shatter a shield line in a single blow, hurling full grown men through the air as if they were toys.

After witnessing a Force Grown Drone, one could imagine that they are a byproduct of some other Biomantic process gone awry. Nothing could be further from the truth; the design of their strains represents a groundbreaking triumph for the Biomancers. The end result is a being that can be gestated within a week and kept dormant until quickened. In meantime, they can be stored within vast racks in the massive storage caverns of the Underspire. When requested, entire racks of these dormant drones can be hitched on to massive, tented, cathedral-like wagons, pulled by dozens of the Brute Drones. Hundreds of cycles were devoted to simplifying and streamlining the Force Grown strains, allowing the Directorate to create a creature ideally suited to the needs of the Lineages. After all, Force Grown Drones are not meant to fight at the behest of their masters. They are meant to die at their convenience.

Even the notoriously taciturn god of Acheron is known to have said: ‘They did not fight like heroes, the heroes fought like them.’ This diorama includes 4 resin miniatures that can represent a Aristarch, Polemarch, Dorylatis and Minotaur Thyrean Leader along with a detailed resin base. Each figure is removable from the dioramic base so they may be used in game play.

A premium plastic monster kit. No creations of the Spire embody both the Directorates pursuits of efficiency and the Sovereigns quest for perfection as does the Siegebreaker Behemoth. Its limbs are designed to dig, climb and still strike with such force it cavitates the very air, producing a thunderous boom that dwarfs the sound of its impact, shredding metal, pulverizing stone and obliterating flesh. Its sinuous serpentine body is almost nothing but muscle and armour, sacrificing everything for power, mobility and durability. Its nervous system is a complex mix of simple systems that govern its movement and complex self-referencing pain and pleasure receptors attuned only to its hearing. This is intentional, for its control is established by frequencies known only to its master, who dispenses pain or pleasure ensuring the compliance and good behaviour of this unstoppable behemoth. HOW THEY PLAY: The Spires design their creations for specific tasks, and this mighty behemoth lives up to its name: it breaks sieges. With a few, yet extraordinarily powerful attacks, the Siegebreaker dismisses any attempt at defense or protection from its assaults. When enemies establish robust defensive lines, these behemoths effortlessly shatter them.

Colonial tank design doctrine calls for ultra-low-profile hulls and compact weaponry. Bulkier weapons require an alternative mount, and one such option is the ubiquitous Grizzly. A modified version of the standard Bear APC, this chassis forgoes the transport capacity for a large weapon compartment.

Typically, the Grizzly is equipped with the UM-92 heavy mortar. This flexible armament sports a drum-based auto loader, much like a giant 20th century revolver. This grants a respectable rate of fire for a siege weapon as well as a minimal crew requirement. The Grizzly’s comparatively weak armour is rendered acceptable by UM-92’s ability to lob lethal shells from behind cover.

An exciting development has been the UCM’s first fieldable, projectile plasma weapon. This has been possible through tireless years of work and an abundance of captured Scourge technology. Indeed, this new UMX-9 Plasma Mortar shares several aspects with enemy versions. Like other plasma weapons, the UMX-9 delivers furnace-like energy to its target at very finite range, since the volatile plasma is held in place around the projectile by its fast-depleting power core. Since the UCM’s first plasma weapon is bulky and low velocity, its designers utilised the Grizzly chassis.
