Every generation has its heroes and those who bear notoriety through the ages. Of those whose acts of heroism and selflessness are beyond compare, there are fewer. The people of the Warrior Nation know that in the lives to follow their own, the name of Chief Raven Spirit will forever be cited as an example of the latter.

It was said that the war between the Union and the Crown was in its infancy when the small, slightly-built, boy first communed with the spirits and took on the name Kangee. The name meant "Raven" in the tongue of his people though the portent of this choice went unremarked, especially as many others that season were also favoured by that particular bird. While the War of Independence burned itself across the land, the boy prospered under the guide of his spirit, demonstrating a boldness in battle unequalled by the other young people of his age. And that was unusual, for prior to his communing with Raven, Kangee had been a peaceable child. This new-found fearless aggression saw him chosen to lead warriors in the defence of the People's lands whenever the Union or Crown ventured too close. The Youngblood took to the role with great panache and a frenetic vigour, calling forth with great ease lethal spirit claws with which to rend his foes asunder. Over time, the name Kangee was forgotten and those who knew him called him simply 'Raven Spirit'.

It was not until the last winter before the Union drove out the Crown from the Americas that the true scope of his bond with the spirits was revealed. His braves had been slaughtered in an ambush by Continental Marines. Wounded, barely able to raise his weapon, Raven Spirit - by now a Warrior Nation chief - raised his head to the sky and let out the keening cry that was the raven's own. When the spirit of an ancient warrior, many centuries dead, coalesced in shimmering blue spirit fire around the young chief - this was startling enough. When that Summoning also unleashed a plume of all-consuming spiritual fire that obliterated the terrified attackers, Raven Spirit fell into a deep trance.

Marked by intense visions of the Great Spirit, Raven Spirit emerged from his meditation with the dawn and brought with him a new vision for his people. Abandoning the ways of divided tribes and embracing a more ancient path to reunite with the native tribes of humanity across the globe. It was as part of the Warrior Nation that they would save its people from the growing darkness and also extend protection to all the peoples of the Earth.

Despite doubts and many dangers, Raven Spirit has built alliances towards some Grand Paradigm that only he can truly comprehend. Now nearly a hundred summers old, Raven Spirit leads his people with a benevolent hand, adhering to the guiding light of the Great Spirit infusing him with a vitality that would not seem possible.

The G.I. Bot is a military grade version of the UR-31 and shares many features with the Heavy Lawbots of the same mark. Developed by the Union as an iterative improvement on the Enlightened designed UR-30's, the G.I. Bot is built for open combat deployment. Its updated design has led to the inclusion of better armour and a more advanced combat logic engine with many complicated parts and, subsequently, a lower battery life. These changes have necessitated shorter tours of duty yet still ensures that a fully automatic army will elude the Union for years to come. Despite this, the UR-31 G.I. Bot serves in a support capacity with most Armoured Guard regiments. It is a common enough piece of hardware that two dedicated assault platoons have been readied for overseas deployment staffed entirely by these tireless and relentless metal soldiers.

Damian Wayne is the son of Batman and Talia al Ghul. This makes him an heir to the world's greatest crime-fighter, and its greatest super-villain Ra's al Ghul. Damian became the fifth Robin, working alongside his father as Batman.

Born as one of the dragon bats who guarded the sceptre of the kings in Bialya, Goliath was an infant when Damian Wayne - upon the Year of Blood - entered the ruins to prove his worth to the League of Assassins and his mother by stealing the sceptre. Damian was forced to slaughter several generations of the guardians until only the youngest remained which, when put to the end of his sword, padded toward Damian and meekly licked his nose causing the young assassin to tear up.

Damian returned to his mother with the caged beast and swore to raise it as his loyal champion and gave it the name Goliath.

The Confederate Rebellion, such as it is, lacks many of the resources even settlers in the Frontier take for granted. Driven into the bayous and wilderness by the Union’s occupation of the Southern states, the Rebellion must avoid all but the smallest of hamlets; lacking the funds to take advantage of even the most sympathetic of suppliers. As such, heavy vehicles are few and far between to aid their cause. For mobility's sake, those few rebels that do need a mount make do with the temperamental and almost obsolete Blackhoof. Over the years rider and mount have formed a bond as strong as between any partners in strife. These mechanical horse automata have proven to be well suited to the dense terrain the rebels operate in and are far quieter than any Iron Horse or Interceptor.

Of all the outlaws operating on the Union Frontier, the story of Juan Ponce de Leon and his Conquistadores is by far the most incredible. Ponce de Leon is a nobleman with a delusional mind. Having emerged from the Florida coast with claims that he is the very same man who set out in search of the Fountain of Youth nearly three hundred years ago, he believes that he and his Conquistadores have been granted eternal life and, with them, he now explores this new world like a travelling lord. While many see the Blackhoof as an obsolete mode of transport, the Faithful have proven adept in the saddle of these temperamental automa. Together with their mechanical steeds, the Faithful of Castilla are the self-appointed defenders of the oppressed. Such a defence often brings Madre Perez and her posse to the thickest of the fighting in the Badlands.

The Wendigo are the lore keepers of a world long since past. They are part of an exotic and ancient breed of creatures known collectively as the Carcosa. Their mythology speaks of the Carcosa being the true inheritors of the Earth, the first people created by the Great Spirit in ages past. But, so the story goes, the Great Spirit was ashamed by the Carcosa's bestial nature and abandoned them in favour of creating a more perfect inheritor, the mewling and myriad humanity. Competing for resources in those early days, the human usurpers hunted the Carcosa almost to extinction. Now their kind has been reduced to a mere handful scattered across the world and so the Wendigo and their Carcosa kin have allied themselves to the Hex. The Wendigo now use their tales of betrayal and abandonment to fuel the telling of a final story for the Carcosa - a tale of revenge and retribution on humanity.

Becoming famous is hard. Losing that fame can be even harder. When Basil Karlo lost his theatrical notoriety, he took being resentful to the extreme. A B-list actor who wasn't included in the remake of a classic horror movie that he starred in, Basil went in a dramatic direction with his revenge. He snapped and got into character as that film's monster, Clayface, and killed members of the cast and crew. In one night, Basil had gone from playing villains to becoming one.

Still hungry to be on top of the acting pyramid, Basil asked the Penguin for help—desperate times, after all, call for desperate measures. Penguin gave the thespian a hunk of clay as payment for a job, and the mystical material leapt into Basil, giving him a malleable body and remarkable shape-shifting powers. Clayface has done horrible things over the years and has operated on the wrong side of the law, but he's not exactly evil. He’s occasionally been willing to work with Batman and has often teamed up with other Gotham City heroes. More than anything, he still longs for the stage and screen and would do just about anything to once again find himself in the limelight—redeemed in the hearts and minds of his fans.

Team Flash, nicknamed Super Friends, is a vigilante team dedicated to fighting meta-human criminals, who were affected by the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator explosion, which was triggered by Eobard Thawne disguised as Harrison Wells. Team Flash also fights other criminals that endanger the people of Central City and beyond whenever possible. The current members are Barry Allen, Cisco Ramon, Caitlin Snow, Joe West, Iris West-Allen, and Ralph Dibny.

The team's goal is to capture meta-humans who use their new-found superpowers for evil intentions. They also fight against crime in the name of justice. They help the Flash on missions and give info on where Barry needs to go next and what is going on there. One could be forgiven for taking Countess Augusta Byron's perpetual air of melancholy as a symptom of her upbringing. After all, when one is raised around some of the most emotive and creative minds of their time, it is surely impossible not to absorb some of that need to create. All artists crave the perfect result, whether it be a musical composition that can reduce men to tears, or a painting so beautiful that not a single soul can step past without pausing to enjoy its beauty. The Augusta's canvas is infinitely more complex. Her magnum opus is herself. If she shows an interest in a particular individual's face or admires the length of their legs, that person is likely to witness firsthand her inconceivable feats of fleshcrafting. The Countess has improved upon her own person over the years until nobody – herself included – can even recall how she once looked. Presently, Augusta towers above the average woman, at seven feet in height, and although it could be argued that her entire body is nothing more than a patchwork, a mish-mash of disparate parts, it cannot be denied that the whole is striking and certainly memorable.

The New York Tribune recently published an article cautioning the use of advanced technology as it may “corrupt the moral fibre of our society.” Should the experiments conducted by Countess Augusta Byron be made common knowledge there would surely be an outcry amongst those of a sensitive and civilised disposition. Even amongst her fellow Enlightened Peers, the Countess is looked upon with a peculiar blend of awe and fear. A pioneer in galvanism, the Countess often applies that peculiar science into forming reanimated Creations - a blend of flesh, steel and lightning that creates a creature many times greater than the sum of its parts. The Countess has been know to cosset her ‘children’, always seeking new and better methods for improving them and granting them longevity. With such a fearless army at her command and with the capacity to make as many as needed, she is a force to be reckoned with.
