An honourable and gentle soul when at rest, Ghost Wolf is insightful and wise, fond of storytelling and enjoying the company of his extensive family. All too often he is roused to war and his talents are put to a more bloody purpose.

Though a powerful Spirit Walker, Ghost Wolf often remains in his mortal form as the Warrior Nation has a great need for his leadership and tactical mind.The wolf within him calls to his kin and often he is always accompanied by a number of his brother wolves. These hunting wolves have been blessed by the Great Spirit to be larger and stronger than their kin as well as possessing more intelligence. They are as fast as the wind and their powerful jaws are potent allies. When they attack in a pack there is little that can stand against them. The wolf spirit ensures he is often accompanied by those Spirit Walkers of the Weylyn who can embrace the animal spirit and aid their chieftain.

Ghost Wolf can always rely on the support of Hawkeye and Moonswift, two experienced warriors who are carving out their own legend within the Nation. Hawkeye is second to none with a bow, capable of hitting the eye of a running hare. With a kinship that approaches family, Moonswift is almost as fast as her Hunting Wolf brothers and sisters. Irontooth is the youngest of the Warrior Nation's leaders and a man who has grown up within the new society forged by Raven Spirit rather than the old divided tribes that preceded it. From an early age, Irontooth showed great skill and power in the ways of the Great Spirit and he soon took his own path to become a Spirit Priest. This was short lived as only weeks into his training his people were butchered by an interloping Union patrol. Instinct took over and he embraced his Spirit Guide: the Mountain Lion. Irontooth ‘awoke’ to find he was a Spirit Walker and like the lion in his vision, he was soon stalking his enemies, his teeth sinking into flesh and talons ripping his foes open as they fled screaming into the night. While the transformation from man into Spirit Walker is usually achieved only through a long and intense ritual, this change had occurred spontaneously. This gift has even raised an eyebrow from Raven Spirit when he heard tell of it.

Irontooth's path has been chosen for him and a life of dedication to the Great Spirit was now to take a very different route. He is a Spirit Walker, a warrior of formidable strength and skill and Irontooth is often found leading warrior bands through the mountain paths to strike at their enemies.

To his wife, Silver Spear, Irontooth confesses he would rather that this path had not been chosen for him and that he could live out his days with her in peace. He knows the Great Spirit hears him and he also knows that the Great Spirit can see his heart and can see that despite these private thoughts Irontooth will continue to fight the enemies of the Warrior Nation even with his last breath should it come to that.

Created as guard dogs and sentries during the early days of Payson's growth from small town to impregnable fortress city, the K9 automata are unusual in that they were and still are entirely mechanical. As the Enlightened moved towards using more esoteric materials in their inventions the K9 has remained as one of their few creations that have not been in some part made partly of living tissue. This is a testament to its reliability.

Though the secrets of their manufacture were eventually given over to the Union by the defector Nikolai Tesla the Enlightened were unwilling to allow a rival to have access to superior technology so created a new K9 model, the H311, colloquially known as ‘the gun dog’. Built to serve as guardians to the heavily fortified Promethean Complexes this up armoured and more heavily armed version of the K9 sacrifices speed for armour and boasts a Gatling gun as well as the standard issue steel jaws. A pack of these beasts is more than a match for even a hardened unit of men with the weight of fire they can lay down. The gun dog also benefits for more advanced cranial engines enhanced with predictive modules that are programmed to mimic aggressive animal behaviour patterns whilst allowing for intuitive target requisition.

Despite Union embargoes the Enlightened sell copious quantities of K9 units on the black market so that it is not only the Union army or sanctioned Lawmen that are accompanied by a pack of these metal mutts. Outlaws, Hex Cultists, even farmers or barkeeps can buy a new best friend if they can afford it. Failing that they can steal them as only the most expensive models have voice recognition keyed to one owner meaning a hard reset in a workshop is usually enough for a change of ownership.
