Some say that Baba-Yaga has lived in Venice for a thousand years. An old crone that according to other old crones has always been there, she is a private and unassuming woman. However, given the right blood sacrifice, she will manifest her magical powers. Growing in size and taking to battle using the very pestle and mortar used to summon her, Baba-Yaga's fierce magicks are the bane of the enemies of the city.

While her loyalty is always in question (often the very person summoning her is her first victim) she is most closely aligned with the Guild, whether seeing them as the saviours of Venice or under a blood oath to the King of Thieves, none really know.

The docks of San Servolo are constantly moving, exporting medicine and technology off-site, and importing all sorts of strange beasts. The Doctors use their magic to control these animals, perverting them to be single-minded in following orders.

This box contains some real heavy hitters for a Doctors gang. The Doctor of the Beasts is a potent mage, and has complete control over the viciou Lion and the fiercly protective winged Gorilla. The force is backed up by two Lab Assistants, their shock prods working just as well on enemy fighters as on their own quarries.

Mario Petralone was a Venetian-born Nobleman. That is until he was caught in Florence during the appearance of the Rent in the Sky. He did not perish in that moment, but existed in a space between realms. Driven by grief and rage Mario possessed his own son. He grew into inky tendrils, completely overwhelming the young man as they speared into his eyes, nose, and throat. The effect was swift and lethal and the incorporeal noble gained control over his form, anchored to the anguish of his last remaining family member.

This set contains Black Spectre, a Gifted for hire. Able to drift through buildings, he can fly wherever he wishes, and drain the life from his opponents. With penetrative Spectral Touch and the ability to Stun opponents, very few will be safe from his grasp. Make no mistake: Black Spectre is one of the most powerful characters in all of Carnevale.

There are few tales as strange as that of Divuorafuoco and Burattino. So it goes that distraught after his family died in the calamity from the heavens, Divuorafuoco turned inwards to his craft. Left old and alone, he tried to recreate the happiness of a family, making a new son from the same tree as that which stood on his family burial ground.

Yet this would be no ordinary marionette. Given gifts from the Rent in the Sky, anything Divuorafuoco crafted would be cursed with life, and the puppet Burattino was born. An evil presence, imbued with the tortured souls of those Divuorafuoco lost, Burattino seeks vengeance on the living. Tied together with imperceptible strings, Divuorafuoco has no choice but to follow his own creation into the night, watching it butcher its way through Venice with an eerie silence.

This set contains Burattino (and technically Divuorafuoco too!), a Gifted for hire. A tiny fighter, this grisly puppet is an excellent Assassin. With strong attacks that can heal it, this diminutive monster counts everything as larger than it - particularly useful for its Hunter special rule, but a bit of a drag when it comes to being grappled or drowned!

Part police force and part armed forces, the City Guard of Venice are tasked with protecting the populace. However, every person has their price, and the Guard are no different. So deep in the pockets of the Patricians, they’re a shell of their benevolent past.

While some worshippers at the Church of Dagon need give nothing more than their time and charity to the congregation, most find a fanaticism in the word of their lord. Taken by religious fervour they volunteer for a higher purpose and take on more specific roles within the Church. From giving sermons to tracking down wayward beasts, every type of follower is welcome.

For any Rashaar players that want to improve their ground game, the Dagon Fanatics will help out! A Demagogue spurs your gang on to higher purpose, followed by a loyal (and tough) Enforcer. The Handler is a Rashaar player’s friend for dealing with other monsters, while the two Urchins will stab any opponent in the back if they get given half a chance.
