Two new characters join Marvel: Crisis Protocol. Trained by his father in the martial arts from a young age, the assassin Shang-Chi became a living weapon. The Brujo’s are an ancient wrestling society. You can tell them apart by their different coloured beards, ranging from brown to grey to white. Some of them even have blue or many coloured beards, though are rarely seen wrestling.

Brawlmarillion will travel far and wide for danger. The Brujo Gris is a member of an ancient order, well versed in pyrotechnics and cheap tricks. Parejas Increibles put their heads together and fight as one.

A Pluma Luchadora is a high flyer capable of launching themselves into a turnbuckle attack from anywhere in the ring. An Alto Guardian keeps the group marching on with a blast of his trumpet while shrugging off damage. Keeping up the rear is the ever hungry Lunchador, a halfling that’s at the front of every lunch queue.

Tomoe was a princess, more beautiful than any other, but one day she was caught wrestling, something definitely not accepted in the princess handbook.

Tomoe did not care, it was her dream to wrestle, she kept disobeying the rules and snuck out every night to the local ring. When she was discovered once more she was cursed to be a Gorgon until her wrestling days were done. Turns out however the addition of claws, fangs and a strong conviction (or constriction) is a massive benefit in the ring.

Like a coiled viper, Tomoe is ready to strike with her grappling skill. Her ultimate grapple move, the Taipan Tapper, will deal huge amounts of Damage and Knockdown your opponents. This grapple move combined with Springboard Strike and Ringhals Hiss makes Tomoe a great all-rounder who can contend with the best.

Even when not using her fan-favourite moves, her standard brawls come with a keen sting due to her Claws and Teeth. Throwing in her Crowd Pleaser, Venomous Advantage makes her base Brawls and Grapples extremely potent.

Cousin to the Ito daimyo, Yudai speaks as the daimyo’s voice in matters at court. He has served as emissary to Takuya’s wishes since the start of the Dragon Wars, and no one can deny that Yudai knows his way around the deadly game of clan politics. Because of the Ito clan’s well-deserved reputation for treachery, those around Yudai still call upon him for favours. Itsunagi has courted Yudai’s good graces, swaying his uncle to the service of Orochi. Even so, Yudai serves Orochi most cynically, drawing upon Orochi’s power only when it serves him to do so.

Whale hunting is a significant source of meat, blubber, oil, and bone, which is used in all kinds of products across the Jwar Isles and even exported to the mainland. All of these hunters are competent sailors. Outside of hunting season, or when no whaling is permitted north of Jwar, they may take work on other ships.

All of this has happened before and will happen again, so say the unaging sages in The Temple of Ro-Kan’s tower of eternal wisdom. The Temple has fought and defeated The Savage Wave before. The monks of old sealed the Oni world of Krazzor away from their own, but some of that old invading force remained here, trapped in the Jwar Isles. There are known to be precisely a dozen Oni Ancients, but The Temple knows only four names...

Up in the Ro-Kan Mountains, there is rarely a need for an organised militia as most villages are protected from bandits and outsiders by the monks of the Temple. This works well enough that most organised groups know not to target villages up in the mountains. Still, the villages need protection, and most have a group of their people to watch the village at night, stop any excessive conflict between families and keep back wild animals. They solve most of their problems by bringing shouting villagers and fire to scare off the upland bears and mountain gorillas. They lack real training, and unfortunately, layers of straw armour may protect them from snake bites and even simple knives and sticks, but they are no match for a katana.

The Eddo Garrison rarely leaves Eddo, which allows them to wear the heavier armour they are known for. As a garrison, they also wield heavy naginata rather than the lighter yari. Since Hiro’s ascension to the Family seat, he has sent the Eddo ashigaru further afield. They are known for their intense personal loyalty to Hiro. These ashigaru have spent much time with the young samurai on patrols and in Eddo. They bear the burden of their heavy gear, marching far from home without complaint, and any would give their life for their daimyo.

As the squadron of Levant skimmers passed by the port, they forced a spray of seawater into mist with their repulsor generators. A sparkle of rainbow light delighted everyone who saw it. The same sunshine glimmered off gold filigree that was yet to be damaged in combat. They were a glorious sight, inspiring awe in all those who were gathered at the dockside. It was no secret that these support cruisers were passing by while gaining additional supplies before they left France for whichever exotic sea needed protection in the name of the glorious Latin Alliance. It was a humble crowd of fishermen, their families and the everyday folk that kept this small town running from day to day. Carpenters, shopkeepers, and technicians who kept everything ticking over. It wasn’t often that they saw anything from the navy pass by so children had made pennants and bunting to wave the hovering vessels off. These were support cruisers themselves. Gascony and Alma class cruisers made sure the warships could do their job serving the Alliance's many outposts spread across the globe. Theirs was not the glory of combat but a job just as important. It was no accident that they had been ordered to stock up supplies here, the many publicists in service to Napoleon III knew the importance of keeping up the morale of the common man.

Huge mechanical constructions lay immobile at the bottom of the sea. The darkness, only occasionally broken by the bioluminescence of strange creatures never seen by man. Uncategorised organisms began to converge, drawn in by the only source of heat for miles around. Crustacea gently crawled across the surface of the metallic things, testing to see if this was an unusual form of whale fall. With no food to be found, the gathering was small. There was no meaning here, base forms of life acted purely on instinct, akin to windup toys, simply performing the mechanical tasks of survival. The metal knew nothing, it merely was. Deep within giant carapaces a kind of survival was also happening. RJ-1027 pulsed through tubes which heated steam to create pressure in pistons that in turn prevented the ember of readiness from being extinguished in this dark place. A living thing might have been considered to be waiting had it been alive but instead, it was only being, until something else impelled its motion. Time passed.

Without warning, the great steel worms began to move. Gentle at first as they performed diagnostics, checking for damage or inoperative parts. Then the surroundings were suffused with a green glow as they powered up fully, bafflingly complex if/then mechanisms reacting to the commands given by an Enlightened vessel, unseen on the surface. Had someone seen it they might have been fooled into thinking these colossi were alive, they were designed to appear so, after all. Engines urged them forward within hours they would be involved in a violence that would cut the meaning from scores of human lives. Others would never forget the terrifying forms of the Aronnax as they bore down upon their ships, massive jaws tearing through hulls with ease. Stories of sea beasts would chill the hearts of those who heard them but the metal things would have no opinion of any of it. They were simply tools, used as any others by the all too human Covenant of the Enlightened.

Armies: ALEPH / Operations Subsection of the SSS / Imperial Service

Sophotects are field technical support and medical assistance operatives. They have been designed, trained, and equipped for keeping ALEPH’s personnel and equipment on the march during special operations or rescue missions.
