  • It’s Cthulhu. I mean, you can’t have a game without Cthulhu, right? Of course there’s a Cthulhu expansion for Munchkin Dungeon. We wouldn’t be doing our due diligence if we didn’t have a Cthulhu expansion. And going a little mad never hurt anyone, right?

The Cthulhu expansion for Munchkin Dungeon will cause everyone to go a little bit mad. The set includes new Threats, new Rooms and Room Monsters, and the big cheese himself, Cthulhu. This new boss will test everyone’s nerves. The set also introduces Madness tokens. Players gain Madness for entering special rooms in the Dungeon. Going a little mad might not be so bad, as some of the symptoms are beneficial. But get too much, and you might leave the dungeon escorted by men in white coats.

  • You can have defeated the most monsters. You can have collected the most loot. You can have beaten the boss the most times. But are you the cutest Munchkin in the Dungeon? Looks matter when it comes to Fame. Big eyes, smiling cheeks, and cute dimples are everything. And only one can win the title of Cutest Munchkin.

The Cute as a Button expansion for Munchkin Dungeon adds more Threats, more Monsters, but most importantly, Cuteness to the game. New Loot cards and companion Pets will get players Cuteness, tracked on the new Who Wants to be the Cutest? board. The Munchkin with the most Cuteness at the end of the game gains bonus Fame. Just watch out for Cutezilla, the new Boss Monster down at the end of the dungeon.

  • The life of a Munchkin is pretty simple: kick the door open, beat up the monster, take the loot, gain levels, and get famous. Just watch out for the other Munchkins looking to also get that loot. There’s no honor among Munchkins, and they’ll gladly stab you in the back.

In Munchkin Dungeon, players take on the role of Munchkins adventuring through a dungeon. Each round, they’ll move down through the dungeon’s different rooms, going as far as they dare before they must face whatever’s in their final room. Other players can then add threats to the fight, making things even tougher. And down at the bottom of the dungeon is the nasty boss. Through all of this (hopefully) players will be gaining loot, levels, and fame. In the end, the most famous Munchkin is the winner.

  • You’re a Munchkin. You don’t do anything halfway. Sure, you could just go straight down to the bottom of the dungeon and fight the boss, but you’d be missing out on all the extra cool stuff to find. Where’s the fun in that? Why not take a trek off to the side and see what lurks there?

The Side Quest expansion for Munchkin Dungeon gives players plenty more to search out. Along with new Threats, Rooms, and Wandering Monsters, it also introduces Side Quest tokens. These are set out at the start of the game and players can earn them by completing certain achievements. Each one will up a Munchkin’s Fame at the end of the game. There are also two new heroes ready to enter the Dungeon: Rangers and Halflings!
