  • Unlike the familiar Platinum class, the Gold is a far more aggressive vessel. As one of the Shaltari's premier assets the Gold is a worthy chariot for the mightiest of attack-oriented Starchiefs.

The Gold class Supercarrier is relatively new and rarely seen. Mounted upfront is the powerful, close-action microwave arrays of its sister classes. Armed with the Ion Cannonade, the Gold is a terror to almost any vessel, and that’s before its swarms of formidable Shaltari bombers strike.

Although many Shaltari ships can be considered unusual, the Bronze class battleship is especially so. At the prow, it mounts the fearsome Ion Cannonade. On the ship’s back, it mounts a Gravitic Beamer. While damaging enough on a basic level, this weapon’s real threat comes from its effectiveness against ships in atmosphere and its tendency to literally shove ships forward, often into unfortunate places. Lastly, the ship mounts twin broadside crescents of microwave emitters for close-in killing power.

Closely related to the Bronze, the Silver class battleship also features a broadside microwave array and a prow-mounted Gravitic Beamer, but replaces the Ion Cannonade with the spectacular Obliterator Cannon. These generate a cracking flow of unstable, rare particles, then channels them through a small emitter nozzle at the unfortunate target. For a Shaltari weapon, It is uncharacteristically random in its destructive power.

  • In areas of less control, the shaltari will build the smaller variants of these space stations, employing advanced technology that humans cannot comprehend. The ability to manipulate the gravity around these stations make them a no fly zone for any inexperienced pilot.

Adding to their space station arsenal, the Shaltari Small Space Station allows them to expand further out into the stars.

This kit makes either the Gatestation or the Grav Hook Space Station. The Gatestation contains two gates that can be launched and used as teleporting locations to increase the positioning potential in your fleet, don't lose control of the station though, otherwise the gates will shutdown. The Grav Hook Station uses a Gravity Manipulator to shunt your friendly ships away, giving a significant speed boost, but then uses it to drag enemy ships in hindering the manoeuvres and slowing them down.

Space stations are integral to many scenarios in Dropfleet Commander - highly appropriate for the game's orbital combat setting!

  • Despite their technological supremacy, it was inevitable that the Shaltari would incur losses during their constant interference in the Reconquest. The fleet stationed above Aaru contains patterns similar to the ancient Shaltari battleships, albeit at a cruiser tonnage.

The Aaru Basalt is a carrier of ancient design, though no less potent than its contemporary counterpart. Primarily seen above Aaru, these have been given the name as a way of differentiating ships of comparable role and performance.

Also seen primarily above Aaru is a variant of the Emerald Mothership. Equally as old a design as the Aaru Basalt and just as rare. The tribes must be getting thin on ships if they're using ancient designs to hold a planet.

These ships offer an alternate visual style but still follow the normal rules for the Shaltari Basalt and Emerald cruisers.

  • Although rare, the Shaltari do sometimes set up more permanent bases. Seen in heaviest numbers before the jump to the Battle for Earth, a Shaltari Anchor stops enemy ships in their tracks with sub-light and Foldspace dampeners. The Shuriken takes a more active defence role with a devastating array of Disintegrators.

The Shaltari are joining the space station club! With a wildly different design to the boxy human space stations, the five vanes are synonymous with the Shaltari design ethos.

This kit makes either a fully armed Shuriken Space Station or a very annoying Anchor Space Station. The Shuriken is armed with with 5 independent Disintegrator Banks which can fire in all directions! The Anchor trades firepower for pure annoyance. Acting as a link in the Voidgate network is already a pain for opponents, but it also forces nearby enemy ships onto Station Keeping, further frustrating your opponent.

  • Hilariously fast by human standards, even the Scourge cannot outrun the Caesium. By mounting a specialised version of the disruptor, it is designed specifically for targeting small ships. Based on a light, fast cutter hull, the Gallium’s only weapon defines it: the Bio Atomiser Array. A hit will indiscriminately rupture living cells, causing brain haemorrhage, heart attacks, and catastrophic malfunctions.

This set contains 3 Shaltari Cutters, all able to be built as either Caesium or Gallium variants. There are parts to build 3 ships, of either variant, giving you extra speed and firepower.

Shaltari Cutters do two things and they do them very well: get in quick, and shoot things to pieces! These ships are easy to fit into your list, and provide some really annoying harassers for your opponent. The Caesium is designed to destroy small ships hanging on the back-field (take that, Limas), its Focused Disruptors much easier to use thanks to the Vectored rule. The Gallium is a little slower, but has a potentially devastating weapon. The Bio Atomiser Array does no damage, but as a Close Action (Beam) with Corruptor, you'll bypass all armour and put a load of Corruptor tokens on any enemy that gets too close. With 6 Attack, that's a lot of annoyance for your opponent; classic Shaltnanigans!

Contains 3 resin miniatures and plastic Dropfleet Commander bases and flight stands.

  • Of all the alien races encountered, none are quite as enigmatic as the Shaltari. For every piece of information the UCM have gleaned, there are a thousand unknowns. For every truth uttered by the aliens, a thousand lies are also told. What is known is that their race's old age and warlike temperament make them formidable adversaries.

This pack contains 56 Command Cards to use during your games. From Fales Diplomacy's activation messing shenanigans to the further shenanigans of Concealed Gate Network, the DFC Shaltari Command Cards provide great fun and a huge amount of unique feeling to playing a Shaltari Fleet.

With distinct Dropfleet styling and easy to read rules, this deck is the ideal purchase for any aspiring Shaltari admirals, perfect for the fittingly named shaltnanigans everyone expects from you.

Made from high quality playing card material, these cards are standard playing card sized, fitting into regular card sleeves.

  • This set contains 1 Shaltari Battlecruiser, able to be built as either a Hematite or Goethite class.

These Battlecruisers continue the classic Shaltari style of being almost impossible to understand until you physically pick them up (and then woosh them around making spaceship noises). With fins in weird shapes all over the place and plenty of dots to paint, you know it's Shaltari.

The Hematite provides a surprisingly straightforward ship for Shaltari. It has one main weapon profile: the Quad Thermal Lance Cannon. Literally four times better than a single Chromium, this is one Burnthrough weapon your enemies will not want to be in the same star system as. The Goethite is more subtle, offering a mixture of weaponry and Launch capability. Its Twin Hyperwave Cannons provide strong firepower and also Corruptor, which ensures the damage will keep going long after the Goethite has darted off across the board.

Contains 1 resin miniature and plastic Dropfleet Commander bases and flight stands.

  • This blister pack can be assembled as either a Ruby or Sapphire class battlecruiser. It is cast in exceptionally tough impact resistant resin and features extraordinary detail. 1:9150 (0.2mm) scale.

Length 139mm. 13 Resin Parts total (including optional components).

NOTE: Provided with a multi-part Dropfleet flight stand, designed to track in-game status without the use of tokens. Miniatures supplied unassembled and unpainted.

    THE RUBY CLASS BATTLECRUISER

The Ruby class battlecruiser is a highly potent vessel designed for maximum firepower in a fast, sleek package. It is an excellent interdiction vessel, superlative in the arts of flanking sweeps and the annihilation of enemy supply convoys behind the lines. It features battleship-level firepower in a fast package which can keep up with cruisers, making it a popular command ship for missions that require speed above toughness. However, it lacks a battleship's ability to take punishment, requiring dexterity, restraint and opportunistic aggression in equal measure from its captain. The Ruby is armed with a pair of disruptor banks and a pair of lethal particle lances – weapons which can slice through any armour ranged against them.

    THE SAPPHIRE CLASS BATTLECRUISER

The Sapphire class is a more specialised and unusual vessel, conceived for disruption and close range engagements. In combat, it relies on a pair of ion storm generator banks to inflict crippling damage at close range with the option of use in the orbital bombardment role. Its second main armament is a pair of gravity coils. These forward facing constructs create a highly localised and damaging beam of gravitic disturbance, ripping chunks from hulls, crushing bulkheads under their own weight and even changing the heading of a multi-thousand ton warship, disrupting the battle plan of any foe.

  • This blister pack can be assembled as either a Diamond class battleship or Platinum class supercarrier. It features awesome interior detail of the flight deck, visible from the outside if assembled as the Platinum class. It is cast in exceptionally tough impact resistant resin and features extraordinary detail. 1:9150 (0.2mm) scale.

Length 169mm. 11 Resin Parts total (including optional ones).

NOTE: Provided with a multi-part Dropfleet flight stand, designed to track in-game status without the use of tokens. Miniatures supplied unassembled and unpainted.

    THE DIAMOND CLASS BATTLESHIP

The Diamond Class battleship is a truly frightening spectacle. Stretching 1546 meters in length, this mighty vessel is one of the largest known battleships and an imposing figurehead for any fleet. Despite their rarity, more UCMF officers ranking Admiral or above have met their deaths at the hands of one of these leviathans than any other type of ship in the Reconquest. In addition to a pair of disintegrator banks, the Diamond’s primary armament is a triad of super particle lances. These vast weapons extend through half the ship’s entire length and are fixed in the forward arc, such is their unknowable mass. These monstrosities have the ability to scythe through any armour like butter, their beams frequently passing right through a capital ship. While their damage dealing ability is potent, their real strength lies in reliability – the certainty that the enemy will feel the Diamond’s wrath, no matter how well protected it is.

    THE PLATINUM CLASS SUPERCARRIER

The Platinum Class shares the same basic hull design as the Diamond class, but its internal space and vast upper levels are dominated by an enormous flight deck, making this vessel a supercarrier by UCM reckoning. The Platinum class can unleash swarms of fighters and bombers in an unstoppable tide of destruction, in volumes and quality that few other ships can match. In addition (and like its cousin the Diamond) it also serves the secondary function of mothership, carrying a small number of ground troops to supplement surface landings. Their continued survival over the millennia is due in part to their scale, but mostly to the extended combat range granted by its strike craft, ensuring that finally ending one of these behemoths is a challenging task in the extreme.

  • Destroyers often sport weaponry much larger than their small size suggests, offering admirals the ability to compete with any enemy vessel in a small and lithe frame. Quick and decisive hunting is synonymous with the Shaltari method of warfare, so it's no surprise that the Chromium, Mercury and Cobalt are often seen in Shaltari fleets.

The Chromium is unusual in that it features a thermal lance cannon, a weapon very similar to the Burnthrough weapons of more primitive races. Where as the Mercury class destroyer features an extremely rare weapon type known as the Pulse Ioniser. These weapons establish an energetic link with the target at close ranges, the potential power of the weapon increasing in relation to the density of the target’s armour, ensuring that nothing is safe from its onslaught. The Cobalt class homeship is essentially a smaller version of the more ubiquitous Emerald class mothership. Its only purpose is to physically convey Shaltari ground forces to the battlespace, from which they can be teleported to the surface via the Voidgate network.

This set contains 3 Shaltari Destroyers, all able to be built as either Chromiums, Mercuries, or Cobalts!

If you like winding arms and strange, fully 3D designs, look no further! The three Destroyers are built in very different ways, making some weird looking ships! The Chromium has a big burnthrough laser - a rare occurrence for Shaltari. Meanwhile the Mercury is a bit stranger still, its Pulse Ioniser Bank giving a lethal Mauler weapon which rolls to Lock equal to the target's Armour. Finally the Cobalt trades in much of its offensive weaponry (although not all) for the ability to launch ground assets - it's a mini-mothership!

Contains 3 resin miniatures and plastic Dropfleet Commander bases and flight stands.

Resin miniatures supplied unpainted and unassembled. This kit will require cleaning and assembly, and could need some small holes filled. Other ships and gaming mats are for scale purposes only.

  • These tiny vessels fulfill the role of the corvettes of other races, although they are smaller even than those diminutive ships. They are designed solely to hunt enemy atmospheric assets and are extremely fast. These ships are favoured by the most aggressive Shaltari with the least fear of death and as such are generally crewed by Firstborn Shaltari new to the arts of naval warfare. They have a small crew of just twelve individuals, their pace and atmospheric capability their best protection against the enemy.

Typically, they hunt in packs, utilising their compact but lethal ion cannons to rake the hulls of the larger strike carriers which are their preferred prey. Although not as dangerous as a Corvette alone, their cooperation can quickly reduce the target to so much falling debris in a matter of seconds.

  • The Helium Voidflyer is a slippery adversary and a worrying technological twist in Shaltari naval combat. Troops on the ground are sadly familiar with the aliens’ capricious ability to teleport battlefield-level vehicles in and out of hot zones via their gate network. On a strategic level, naval planers have considered this tech limited to deployment of smaller constructs - not so, it seems.

The Helium can leverage the existing voidgate network to teleport across the battlespace instantaneously. That the Helium is orders of magnitude larger than anything previously known to possess this ability has raised concerns at the highest level as to what it means for the future - is this new tech, or have the aliens simply deigned to switch tactics? Either way, the prospect of whole starships vanishing and appearing at will likely chill the blood of any captain, despite the small size and short ranged weapons of this new threat.

This set contains 6 Shaltari Helium Voidflyers. In a horseshoe design, these ships are covered in the standard Shaltari detail - hope you like painting dots!

Cast in a single piece, the model has fine detail and an aggressive look. The Helium is unique in the Shaltari arsenal in that it is the largest ship able to use the Voidgate network to teleport! Put a squad near a friendly Voidgate and they can teleport down the chain to another part of the battlefield, ready to fire with their Pulse Blasters.

  • Much as with the Scourge, monitors are an unusual fit in Shaltari fleets, due to their low speed and consequent lack of finesse. Instead, Shaltari types fulfil a rearguard role.

The most frequently seen is the Silicon class, armed with a quad-bank of tilt-able ion cannons, giant versions of those commonly found on Kukri grav-tanks. While these effectively damage ships in higher orbital layers, their true value is in disrupting the power systems of larger ships.

Most Shaltari ground forces reach the surface via Voidgates - ubiquitous, unglamorous ships. Voidgates tend to be lightly armoured and unarmed, making them easy targets. However, sometimes the Shaltari need to guarantee landings planetside, so rely on heavier ships. The Selenium class is one such vessel. It has the transference capacity of a Voidgate, and guns designed to fire out of atmosphere at starships. This allows the Selenium to defend the ground troops deployed through it.

This set contains 3 Shaltari Monitors. These small ships are slow moving, and struggle to manoeuvre, but make up for that by targeting between Low and High Orbit without penalty, and having unparalleled armour for that size of ship.

This pack makes three ships, buildable as either Silicon class Monitors or Selenium class Escort Frigates. The Silicon's Quad Ion Cannon is a high powered weapon in itself, but also causes Energy Surges to enemy ships. The Selenium answers the prayers of Shaltari players, giving a Voidgate with heavy armour (for Shaltari) that also has great offensive capability across orbital layers.

Contains 3 resin miniatures with parts to assemble two variants, and 3 plastic Dropfleet Commander bases and flight stands.

  • Over 1600 meters long, Dreadnoughts are the largest vessels utilised by the enigmatic Shaltari. Records are sketchy though, as they are incredibly rare and opponents seldom survive an encounter with one. This lethality comes from incredible firepower, shields and peerless scanners. Their captains can wage entire campaigns personally with minimal support. The Plutonium class features a plethora of eldritch weapons, devastatingly flexible in combat. The Uranium is supremely aggressive, attracting the most warlike Starchiefs, desiring the honour and satisfaction of close range slaughter.

Introducing the biggest ships that Dropfleet Commander has ever seen. Although the Shaltari Dreadnought is the smallest of the Dreadnoughts, measuring 175mm in length, it is the most complex of all! Featuring a mirrored and intricate design, it fits perfectly with the rest of a Shaltari fleet.

This set includes parts to make either the Shaltari Plutonium class or the Shaltari Uranium class Dreadnought. With either Distortion Cannons or the 6 Attack Pulse Ioniser Battery (that's double the size of the one on the Mercury), both ships also come with a Launch capacity for for FOUR Gates.

Rules for Dreadnoughts can be found in Battle for Earth.

  • The alien Shaltari are a race unlike any encountered by humankind. Though short in stature, they are wise beyond anything known. Their technology is so far advanced to be almost indistinguishable from magic, utilising teleportation, gravitic distortion, and even the ability to bypass death.

It is this last detail that is most curious to the United Colonies of Mankind. The Shaltari are able to pass their consciousness into a another body, grown specially for the purpose. They are essentially immortal, provided their warlike nature doesn’t kill them first. For the Shaltari a species of duality, where sometimes serene and intelligent beyond measure, they can turn into war hungry creatures, desperate to prove their martial prowess.

In void combat their fleets are equally hard to predict. While they have little need for primitive armour, they protect themselves through energy shields and incredible manoeuvrability. To fall into a Shaltari trap is common - and due to their weapons of immense power - deadly.

This box contains an entire Shaltari Battlefleet, with (almost) everything you’ll need to raise a fleet for your games of Dropfleet Commander. This set contains a mix of plastic and resin ships, which provide a solid core for your fleet and some more advanced ships to fill particular roles.

The plastic Cruisers and Frigates can be assembled in dozens of ways, each with a very specific place in the fleet. From the stranger Emerald Motherships, all the way down to the unique Voidgates - anchors of a vast teleportation network.

Each ship comes with a multi-part plastic base and flight stand to keep track of your damage, orbital layer, fire arcs, energy status and ship names.

Shaltari ships lack armour, but boast a tactical acumen that rewards the most cunning players.

    This box contains:

    • 1 Resin Shaltari Battlecruiser, which can be built as either a Ruby or Sapphire.
    • Typical length 139mm, 13 parts per ship (including optional ones).
    • 6 Plastic Shaltari Cruisers & 6 Shaltari Voidgates. These multi-part plastic sprues contain 28 parts each (including optional ones & Voidgates), and can be assembled in 9 different classes, including Cruisers, Fleet Carriers, and Troopships! Typical length 107mm.
    • 8 Plastic Shaltari Frigates. These multi-part plastic sprues contain 4 Frigates, which - using the 38 parts on each sprue (including optional ones) - can make up to 5 different classes, including Frigates and Strike Carriers. Typical length 65mm.
    • 3 Resin Shaltari Corvettes, in a single piece with typical length of 49mm.
    • 56 Shaltari Command Cards & 33 Activation Cards.
