From the depths of the ocean, never before seen by man, giant crustaceans have been thrown ashore by Ryujin’s summoning. They are used to picking food from the bottom of the ocean, often scavenging from other predators' leftovers. They do the same on land, but instead of fish guts, fins or flukes, it's monks, samurai or unlucky ashigaru. This model can become the Kani-chan or Kani-kun variant, each with its own benefits for players. Kani-chan offers a great new way to help your sharks charge bleeding models, and Kani-kun offers ranged protection and access to a new Ronin kami model.

Why not build both and see what your opponent can do against a double dose of two-tonne Malacostraca? With 10 Wounds and Armour (3), they aren’t easy to deal with, and with the standard Crab Special Abilities of Sidestep and Critical, they are excellent in Melee.

This ‘lobstrosity’ has been Blessed by the Ocean and is known as the Killer Claw among his shipmates. With a form more suited to life at sea, specifically a pirate's life at sea, with his armoured frame, snapping claws and great strength, Renishi can hold a flank (Or a Deck) against all foes. Any who dare attack him are often left blooded and at the mercy of the sharks, the Jung's other fearsome sailors.

Hiroto has returned to the Jwar Isles, but he is in no fit state to either raise hope in those scattered forces of the Shiho who still harbour loyalties nor incite fear in those that took all that was precious from his family.

Taiho would probably go unnoticed among the Jung were it not that he could carry and fire a Heavy Barrel Cannon without an entire crew to assist him. He may be slow to move and fire the fearsome weapon, but Taiho's devastating shots are more than worth the trouble, as the only other way to get such mighty firepower is from the deck of a ship.

The Cannon is the most powerful ranged weapon in Bushido (so far). Jung players will eagerly blast the various shots available to them at the enemy, wreaking havoc! Unlike most dedicated ranged models, opponents may not want to engage Taiho, as having a metal cannon smashed into your face is not much healthier than getting shot by it.

The Jung are quick to tease Musa, calling him as valuable as a barnacle on a ship’s hull, and in part, they may be right. He lacks the dexterity to climb the rigging, fails time after time to tie the simplest knots, and suffers violently from seasickness. However, when an enemy hoves into view, the teasing stops, and the boasting begins as Musa is a fury like no other. Surefooted and aggressive, he more than makes up for his shortfall as a sailor by pounding his enemies into the planks of boats, wharves, and dockside taverns everywhere

The crabs of the Eastern Sea are proving to be an invaluable ally to the Jung. They swarm across the battlefeild at times merely offering themselves up as a nuisance or distraction. Often this is enough. At other times the swarms will part revealing the larger more dangerous species such as the Fiddler crabs or the Horseshoe crabs. Each has its own purpose and the most accomplished Jung leaders are able to use them to turn defeat into victory.

He is almost as good a shot as he boasts and with his two “ladies” by his side, a threat to even the most nimble monk or heavily armour samurai, making him a legend amongst the Jung. The tale of how he lost his leg a source of much amusement amongst his peers.

Hideaki was always known as a bit of a melancholic soul. He has treated his sea blessing, seen as an honour to the clan, with his usual lack of fervour. He does however long for the day when the process is complete and he has the strength needed to move his shell as he would like. Hideaki quickly loses any resentment for his shell when it helps him avoid danger, and the speed that he can switch between safety and pressing the attack can surprise those that face him.

A life on the waves makes you hard, bodies muscled and lean, the sway of the ocean becomes as natural as sitting under a tree. This is the life of Kohanin, their lives before swearing loyalty to the captain forgotten. Their crimes washed away as debris from a beach at high tide. More comfortable on deck than land, they are capable sailors and fighters, turning their weapons of labour into deadly instruments of battle in an instant.

The Korusea make up the bulk of the veteran seaman of the Jung, skilled sailors and warriors, armed with wicked curved blades which gut a man as easily as a fish. Their secondary weapon is a web woven from light but very strong twine, used to subdue an enemy up close or at range.

It seems that the temptation of riches and sake are not the only things that can lead the Buto to leave their tribe. Lua a fine specimen of the Buto people has long since left the island of his birth, driven to satisfy a deep and lasting wanderlust the Jung are his new people. Much like many of those who crew the Jung ships he adds somethings few others can offer. His great axe felling foes or masts alike. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve learnt from his youth in the crowded streets of Jima to surprise though.

Moyasu was cursed to burn forever without being consumed. She was offered respite under the ocean by the sea Kami but any part of her that extends above the waves bursts into flames! Like others with the blessing of the sea Kami, she has taken on some aspects of sea creatures.

On the table Moyasu requires a delicate balance as she can be as dangerous to your own models as the enemy, much like fire used as a weapon at sea. Her ability to hold a model in place while giving out many fire markers makes for a very powerful effect, if you can position her well.
