Contained within this Armoured Clash Battlegroup Set is a Lakota Heavy Rail behemoth for your Union force. Unlike any war machine of the other Great Powers, the Lakota and its carriage provide a conundrum for their enemies; start by attacking the engine and the capability of the carriages to move, or attack the carriages and remove some of the behemoths' attack capability? Each of its carriages has a specialty such as the Newhaven Forward Garrison's infantry transport capacity or the Houston Firebase's indirect fire rockets. In smaller forces a general can even call a Lakota Super Heavy Engine on its own, something unthinkable by other factions.

To support this powerhouse of battle, the box also contains a supply of infantry. Federal Troopers and their Fireteams can hold ground and be transported in the Lakota if preferred, allowing them protection as they close with the enemy. Hotchkiss Revolving Cannon are excellent at dealing with smaller threats to the Lakota, freeing up its attacks for more threatening targets. A player might choose to transport Pacifier Heavy Infantry inside Lamplighter Flame Tricks, providing another tempting target for their weapons. All the while, Ironhorse Cavalry can be ready to strike at a moment's notice as events reveal themselves across the battlefield.

This Starter Set includes everything you need to start playing games of Armoured Clash, leading a valiant force of the Union of Federated States. Their adaptable and well-trained Federal Troopers are supported by specialist fire teams; small units of troopers that can be allocated for any occasion.
