Youthful in appearance, but centuries old, the Eleventh Doctor loved life, but had little tolerance for those who did him wrong. A fondness for hats and Jammie Dodgers, he was adventurous and unpredictable. He travelled with Amy and Rory and, later, Clara – the Impossible Girl.

He married Professor River Song and faced and defeated countless enemies including The Silence, Weeping Angels and Daleks. Revisiting the Time War, he discovered that he and his past incarnations had saved his home world, Gallifrey, and the Time Lords from destruction, but his planet was lost somewhere in the endless void of space and time.

Never without his trademark scarf and a bag of jelly babies, the Fourth Doctor was more distant and alien than his predecessors.

His big, almost maniacal grin and offbeat humour was often contrasted by a sombre and sometimes aloof personality.

He travelled through space and time with many companions, whom he called his friends: Medical Officer Harry Sullivan, the noble savage Leela, Time Lady Romana, and K9, his faithful robot dog, amongst others.

Defeating countless enemies old and new, including the Daleks, Cybermen, Zygons and the Black Guardian, he was declared Lord President elect of his home planet, Gallifrey and travelled the universe searching for the Key to Time. Charming, selfless and a moral crusader, the Fourth Doctor was a force to be reckoned with.

Serving aboard SS Madame de Pompadour, the Clockwork Droids had harvested the crew's body parts to repair their damaged spaceship. Only now needing to repair the broken command circuit they stalked the original madame Pompadour to 18th-century France, believing her brain was the missing part they needed.

Dressed as French courtiers and wearing ball masks, their true nature was given away by the ticking of their inner workings. The Clockwork Droids had retractable repair tools at their wrists which could double as weapons.

A would-be conqueror of the universe, the Master is the Doctor’s oldest and deadliest foe. A rival Time Lord with the same ability to change his physical appearance by regeneration and occasionally body-snatching, this cunning villain holds the ability to manipulate, charm and destroy whole races in equal measure, often doing so for the simple gain of making the Doctor suffer.

Once boyhood friends on Gallifrey, the Doctor and the Master became polar opposites, one celebrating life in the Universe, the other taking great pleasure trying to destroy it. A highly skilled hypnotist, the Master was able to dominate and control his victims into doing his bidding.

Known by the Doctor as Silents, these genetically engineered 7 foot tall mouthless creatures are confessional priests of the Church of the Silence. Anyone looking at a Silent will immediately forget them the moment they looked away, meaning sinners could make their confessions without remembering they had done so afterwards.

Silents are capable of obliterating enemies by absorbing electrical energy from the air and discharging it from their hands at a vastly more potent level. They are incredibly resilient creatures and strong enough to smash down reinforced barriers with their elongated hands.

Gallifrey, the home planet of the Time Lords, stands in the constellation of Kasterborous. The Time Lords invented space and time travel machines known as TARDISes, but closely monitored their use to ensure time was neither abused nor history changed. They had a strict policy of non-interference in other planets and their cultures.

Thought destroyed in the Last Great Time War, the Doctor’s home planet was actually frozen in time in a pocket dimension. In the Citadel, a giant structure enclosed within a glass dome in the main city, Lord President Rassilon and the Time Lord council watch over their home world.

The Telos Tomb Cybermen were once like us. Hailing from Mondas, Earth’s twin planet, their scientists discovered ways to prolong and upgrade their race by replacing vital organs with metal and plastic. Each had the strength of eight men, but all humanoid emotions had been removed. They are more robot than man, intent on conquering the galaxy and upgrading as many humans as possible to become like them.

The Cybermen who settled on the planet Telos were frozen in suspended animation in giant, elaborate tombs, awaiting their resurrection. An archaeological expedition from Earth led by Professor Parry awoke the dormant army, but they did not realise the horrors that awaited them…
