  • Aghema are, without a doubt, the best fighters available to a City States commander. They are invariably the personal guard of rules, tyrants and council members alike. Armed, armored and augumented to the highest standards that a ruler can afford, the notion of failure or defeat is anathema to these elite soldiers, who are trained to fight and win on any battlefield under any circumstance. Infantry Dual Kit: 12 plastic miniatures that can either make Agema or Thorakites, 1 set of Infantry Bases, 2 Command Cards.

  • Hoplites know that the difference between victory and defeat lies with the strength of the Phalanx and focus their efforts on the integrity of its shield wall. The canniest veterans among the Hoplites know that pure defense will see a phalanx buckle under uncontested enemy pressure, thus they turn their eyes to the Dorilates, the spear masters among their number, to set the tempo and angle of their thrusts, complimenting the sheer defensive power of the Phalanx with increased aggression. How they Play: A veteran Hoplite, the Dorilates trains and coordinates the shield wall/pike formation. When the Regiment clashes with the enemy formation, the Hoplites/Phalangites unleash a rapid barrage of spear/pike thrusts forcing enemy soldiers to cower, keep their heads down and ultimately force them into exposing weaknesses in their formation.

  • Every army of the City States that marches to war, does so under the supervision of at least one Mechanist. One could be forgiven for believing he is there to ensure the smooth operation of the army and the countless machines, both big and small, that are so vital to the smooth operation of a City State’s army. What many fail to recognize is that he is there to ensure that reality itself operates along the rules and parameters laid out in their Lexicons by their Divinity. How they Play: As a spellcasting support Character, the Mechanist excels when positioned just behind the main battle line providing necessary utility abilities and enhancing the range of your Promethean’s spells. Activate the Mechanist’s Supremacy Ability to give all Regiment’s Activating from your Strategic Stack the Hardened (+1) Special Rule and see your enemies halt their advance before the might of your shieldwall!

  • These are three large, super elite cavalry forces. These have a premium look, and play action in the game. Exemplars even amongst the superhumanly skilled Orders, the Order of the Ashen Dawn are spoken of in hushed whispers and respectful tones even by those who are unlucky enough to count them as enemies. Clad in baroque armor of a craftsmanship that has reduced master smiths to tears, these holy warriors are the definitive answer to the monsters and nightmares that plague mankind. They are the final guardians of the Sealed Temple and the keepers of its darkest treasures. FUN FACT - In First Blood these will be officers with unique rules, thus 3 cards. A unique feature for this set.

  • Some of The Children of the Fallen God have recently returned to the world above. A handful has forsaken their subterranean kingdom for life under the suns blinding light. The man they call Ekashiba is one of these brave souls. For centuries they have remained hidden, driven underground by the first of the Savage Waves against this world. They had chosen an open domed cave far beneath the lofty and terrifying heights of Takawa’s Talon as their place of worship. Here, the bodies of expelled tengu from the world above would arrive explosively, bathing the initiates in blood, bone and the holy feathers of their sky-bound gods that they worship from afar. The elders take these twisted remains and fashion talismans, clothes, and even weapons of war for the rest of the tribe. Ekashiba is one of these tentative explorers. He carries a Tengu Bone pick, far superior to most of what the tribe wield. He also has a sacred talisman that he prays gives him some of the tengu’s innate nature. Clad in the remains of his fallen gods, Ekashiba yearns to seek a path to the top of the Talon not just to worship the tengu from afar but serve them loyally as a follower.

In your Descension Warband, Ekashiba offers a new, gruesome way to gain more Virtue Tokens. His Spirit and Courage Traits make him more reliable against enemy Fear and Opposed Ki tests. Like most Tribesmen, he is a decent Melee Fighter. His usefulness will only grow as we discover more models from the Children of the Fallen Gods and their synergies become apparent.

  • Odamu is typical of the Hoshi family. Their ways are old, uncorrupted by what others deem new or modern. Visiting them is to journey back in time regarding speech, manners, food, and attire. Hoshi Odamu is no exception. He wears armour most newer samurai have never even seen! However, his close relationship and proximity to the Minimoto clan ensures his blades and garb are still the most exemplary in Jwar. Because he has the blessings of the Bear Mon, he is at home fighting alongside his Minimoto allies. He has, over some time, developed a deep and heartfelt affinity for the great bears that call this place home. He feels it almost spiritually, a meeting of minds when both bear and Odamu are near one another. He cannot speak their tongue but has connection enough to lead these ferocious beasts into battle. He likes the wilds and spending time with the bears, following them into areas so cold and remote that another person would perish in moments. Not so Odamu; Hoshi's blood warms his veins, and the Hoshi are famed for enduring extreme cold and foul weather.

Finest Steel players will welcome this new samurai. Odamu is a challenging prospect on the field. Not only does he have a high number of Wound Boxes - as well as Armour 4 - but he punishes any would-be aggressors with Held, and often also Slow. But this is where it gets interesting: he also deals damage in return when wounded! With Armour (4) and the ubiquitous Just a Scratch card, this often deals more damage than Odamu takes!

  • The plains are vast, undulating oceans of grass and steppe fought over by horse-riding warriors of unparalleled speed and skill when in the saddle or on foot. Theirs is a nomadic lifestyle for most of the year until the long-dark winters come, and it is only then that they tend to dismount, gather around the watchfires and reflect on the days and cycles that went before. During summer, when the grass moves from side to side like the waves on the far-off seas, hunting game becomes more about skill than sheer brute force. Some hunters - like Batu - chase down larger prey while on horseback, unleashing a string of well-aimed arrows from his short curved bow to bring down deer or savage-toothed boars. But the falconers step forward when the grass is long and the prey incredibly stealthy. The rider may rule the plains, but the birds of prey rule the skies, and nothing escapes their knife-sharp eyesight. Rabbits, hares, small goats and deer are all a part of what the falcons catch from above. This relationship between a tribe member and a hunting bird is especially beneficial in the winter when the horses cannot move through the shoulder-deep snow.

Shiho and Tengu players can benefit from these unique ranged options. As they have no Ammo or Reload traits they will usually make ranged attacks whenever possible, not needing to wait for more optimal conditions. This leads to more chip damage, which is great before a set-up for a kill. However, they can only shoot once per turn, so their positioning to be a secondary objective model is also crucial. The noticeable thing about the ranged attack is it needs no LoS, and there are many ways to use these models to attack with impunity from reprisal. The Eye Peck Ki Feat is the icing on the cake, allowing them to debuff a target after their chip damage making it easier to set up for your finisher models, something both Shiho and Tengu often need.

This model can be fielded as part of a warband affiliated with the following factions: Shiho Clan, The Descension. Blister contains one miniature, 30mm base and full colour profile card.
