The Echo class corvette is a small, atmospheric-capable vessel of sub-frigate tonnage designed to prow the atmosphere for vulnerable prey, such as strike carriers. Armed with a heavy missile payload, the Echo is adept at decimating the larger targets which it hunts. It is also armed with a pair of mass drivers buried within its streamlined hull, making it a threat to enemy ships at range when fighting in the void. In combination, this makes the Echo more heavily armed than any equivalent ship of another race.

It is also rare among PHR ships in that it is designed with stealth in mind. This means that Echo's can fire some of their weapons while silent running, making them capable void operators due to their mass driver armament, which can be fired at ranges from which the enemy cannot hope to return fire.

Although the Resistance does operate corvettes, very few survived the Scourge invasion. Being designed to operate from atmosphere, they were the very furthest ships from any jump point and had to face the first waves of Scourge corvettes and Strike Carriers. Those that did escape were generally forced to withdraw early on due to combat damage.

However, such small ships require modest orbital slips to construct. As a result of the obvious need to protect their Strike Carriers, many Resistance fleets with the resources have attempted to build new ones, with mixed success. Certainly, the Vega Scrapfleet has proved capable, and of course Kalium builds these hunter-killers in large quantities. The Munifex is a fairly typical corvette – fast, atmospheric-capable and designed to kill Strike Carriers, as well as their opposite numbers. It is armed with specialist missiles, much like the UCM’s Santiago class.

Armed with NCA-1 Missiles, these Close Action weapons are excellent at fighting in atmosphere, and get more powerful the more you shoot, thanks to the Squadron-3 special rule.

Belleza Agua is a little different to other Superstars. Instead of showboating to the crowd, she is more solemn. She also plays quite differently! With little in the way of outright attacking power, her use centers on powerful supporting abilities. Maladictión curses your opponents, and make sure if you're on the opposing side not to leave Knocked Down wrestlers in the open, lest Agua try to drown them!

With Knockdown and Devastating making up his special abilities, he’s an extremely useful wrestler to have in your roster. And Davy Jones’ Lock is one of the best named moves in the game.

If you play Rolling Bones, Captain Keelhaul will be right at home, but he suits any team that could use some really useful skills and a Weight 2 wrestler that is blindingly fast!

An elemental spirit summoned up from the Land of the Dead itself, El Mecánico was given one purpose, one skill, one desire: To WRESTLE. Or, to fix trains and change oil if no wrestling jobs are open.

Luckily enough though, there is always a wrestling job for the Orange Heartthrob! Always eager to protect his friend Manuel, El Mecánico will happily wrestle anyone and everyone... when he's not busy tightening the ropes or taking a spanner to the spotlights and rigging that is.

This big ol' softy is smashing his way into the ring! El Mecánico is a super useful wrestler for any team!

With solid stats (particularly DEF and GRP), this is one demon you don't want to mess with. Wait, why would you want to mess with any demon? Not relevant! El Mecánico has a bunch of powerful moves - so many that you won't be able to decide which to use each turn! The Rubacava Muscle Buster has that all-important Lifted special rule, although hop in the Bone Wagon for a rope attack and get a free Crowd Pleaser (in which Manuel the dermatologically-challenged skeleton mixes a drink for your teammates). Fang has entered the ring! He's a fantastic all-rounder superstar, with decent stats and a couple of +1s on his card. He's fast and vicious!

Superhuman Spinebreaker is a Grapple Ability you'll be using lots and lots. It's easy to do, and thanks to Fang's Vampirism Passive Ability, replenishes his Stamina at the same time. But that's not all, because if you pass a Crowd Pleaser, the whole team gain the same benefit!

Fang obviously fits in perfectly with The Cryptborn Nightmares, boosting their already decent regenerative capabilities and their reliance on grapple attacks. But he's also a great choice for any team with lower Stamina – The Deadly Divas and The Twisted Shadows come to mind – as his constant replenishing can make up for their main weakness!

Gobba has some weird stats. His Dexterity is the highest in the game, and he uses it as his Defence too, meaning he's extremely hard to damage at all. He's fast too, so good luck catching him! Although with such a low Defence, Grapple, and Stamina, he's delicate too.

Gobba is the ultimate support Superstar. There Is No Try is an Active Ability that allows you to move an enemy wrestler 3 squares in any direction, putting them in the best place for you and the worst place for them! And his Crowd Pleaser removes all negative counters from friendly wrestlers.

Considering the all-out attack nature of the Green Bruisers, Gobba complements them perfectly, giving them some much needed defensive stability.

You've heard of his father, and you've probably heard of him too. The mysterious Halfling known as Junior Jr is one of the most well-renowned wrestlers to ever play the sport.

Honourable beyond measure, Junior Jr takes tremendous pride in his performance. Never one to turn Heel, Junior despises those who make a mockery of RUMBLESLAM. His family have wrestled through the years, and place great respect on the luchador career. It is this reason that he has risen through the ranks to be one of the best technical wrestlers worldwide.

The family tradition of wrestling is not just in his bones though. It's literally in his bones. Unable to move on from the glory of the ring until he has seen his son retire, Junior's father Señor Jr has possessed the Halfling. There for all his victories, Señor will not suffer defeat. Should the Halfling's skill be found wanting, Señor will not hesitate to take control, guiding Junior's actions until he's out of danger and back into the spotlight.

Did you think Halflings were nothing to worry about in the ring? Well think again! This Halfling is definitely one to keep your eye on!

Junior Jr Señor Jr is possibly the most reliable wrestler in the entire game. With a total of +4 to his stats, those Silver and Copper dice can start adding up, and don't expect him to fall to an unlucky roll! Jumping from the top rope he can spring over his opponents using Diving Splash, or rack up severe amounts of damage (seriously, that's enough to instant KO a goblin) with his signature move The 666. Keep him near the ropes for maximum effectiveness.

Even if he gets beat though, Alma Por Alma will allow Junior to carry on fighting even when reduced to 0 Stamina. If he KO's an opponent before the end of the round, he replenishes his full Stamina again!

A true artist in the ring, Maggie wows crowds world-wide with her flawless style. A true ambassador for Moote Carlo, Maggie always stands up and fights with pride for her home.

Of course, this pride is also sometimes her downfall, as Maggie has never been known to refuse any challenge. Even when baited by the fabled stable of the Towering Titans, Maggie rose to the occasion. In what has gone down in RUMBLESLAM history as "the most one-sided fight ever", Maggie faced off against four giants on her own. Although it was a valiant effort, it was only ever going to go one way, and one the bell had rung those giants sorely regretted talking smack to a 3 foot tall, one-legged, part-dryad.

We heard you, don't worry. Maggie is here to save the day!

At first glance you'd think Maggie is an out and out brawler, with +1 to ATT, and a great Rope Ability (complete with Throw 1!). However, closer inspection puts her at more of an all-rounder. With 3S GRP and 5AP, you'll get a lot of mileage out of this Halfling! She's tough, she's fast, and her tree powers are pretty handy too. Vine Snare reduces the MP of all enemy wrestlers within 3 squares, and the Rooted ability means this Halfling cannot be lifted. A skill that she can also pass onto a friendly wrestler after a successful Crowd Pleaser!

If you're after a toolbox Superstar who's brilliant at annoying your opponents, then Marowhackjob is who you're after. Free Strike is a Passive Ability that allows him to make a Brawl attack against any wrestler that moves out of base contact with him. That's good already, but combined with the Dark Presence special rule, he becomes really annoying. Dark Presence means that any enemy wrestlers in base contact with Marowhackjob MUST attack him, and no one else. Damned if you do, damned if you don't!

A tiny tree, Mushcles never really ascended through the canopy like his brothers and sisters. He stayed close to the ground, and became more friendly with the toadstools and fungi on the floor of the forest. Seeing the other trees step over lakes and move literal mountains, this little tree vowed to get as strong as them.

He started pumping iron (well, pebbles) and before long got so big, even his fungi friends wanted a piece. With the power of the mushroom, the tree left the forest and headed south. Coming into Moote Carlo he'd found his calling. So it was that Mushcles the wrestler was born.

Don't let his diminutive size fool you, Mushcles is 4 foot of bulging bark and toadstools. Feisty beyond measure, this WEIGHT 1 wrestler can still bring the pain, and is spry enough to get out of any hold.

Mushcles' Tiny Dancer passive ability lets him use his DEX instead of his GRP when hit by Grapple attacks, although you might want to rethink that if he gets hurt. When on half Stamina he cries "I AM MUSHCLES" and gains +2 to both ATT and GRP, making him a real dynamo! Keep his Stamina at 3 with his Crowd Pleaser that regenerates up to 3.

For offensive ability, try any of Mushcles' special attacks. Vine Whip allows him to lift opponents from up to 3 squares away, and the TREE BOMB turnbuckle attack hits everyone in base contact for 3 damage. Mushcles is a real boss!

With one foot in the grave and the other on the reverb pedal, Pedro de la Vida is the Mariachi to end all Mariachis - including himself! At a moment's notice, his otherwise dead self can switch into the world of the living, ready to croon with the best of them.

It's a tag team where both partners are the same person. Who comes up with this stuff?!

Pedro and Dedro are two sides of the same coin. Able to switch back and forth between living and dead, one is a great character for buffing friendly wrestlers (he automatically activates friendly Crowd Pleasers), and the other is all about debuffing enemy wrestlers (he activates enemy Crowd Pleasers, but they don't gain any benefit from them hahaha). Pedro and Dedro's signature move is the Catchy Mariachi, in which they play such an annoying earworm of a song that your brain will eventually start leaking out your ears.
