Frigates are small, fast combat vessels designed primarily for flanking and first strike missions. They are the most common fighting ship type present in most fleets in the Reconquest. Some variants also provide vital support roles complementing the efforts of the main fleet.

Despite maintaining existing pre-war designs, the shipyards of Kalium have made little in the way of innovation. That was until the Battle for Earth, where Kalium shipyards made efforts to "brand" their new refined ships following losses.

The Kalium KNC-5 Line Cruiser is a Kalium designed light cruiser. These ships are a refinement over the pre-war ships that Kalium had been producing in vast numbers. Now more indicative of the brutalist design aesthetic that permeates Kalium designs. The KNC-5 Line Cruiser is equipped with two Vent Cannon Turrets as well as NC-16 Missile Banks.

While the KNC-5 is geared towards risky close range combat, the KNC-12 offers a more supportive role within the Kalium fleet. This Fleet Carrier has a full broadside of launch bays, with prodigious fighter and bomber compliment, and can support its wings with a top mounted Vent Cannon Turret.

These ships offer an alternate visual style but still follow the normal rules for Resistance Light Cruisers with the appropriate loadout.

The Resistance employs a huge variety of light tonnage vessels, and many offer unique capabilities not seen in capital ships. Some, such as the Aldrin colony ship, are among the oldest vessels still operating anywhere, proving their endurance. The Newton and Galileo monitors were once lynchpins of orbital defence lines, and they still excel in that role.

Their opposites, the Sagittarii and Baleares cutters, are among the fastest ships available to the Resistance admirals and offer impressive first strike capabilities. Also, being improvised forces, merchantmen inherited by the Resistance are often jerry-rigged to carry swarms of remote-operated fire ships.

Developed from the cruiser class ship, the Space Stations give the ships of the resistance a base among the stars. The Astrobotanical Outpost puts out a signature that no enemy fleet can ignore, drawing them away from Resistance ships.

The Resistance is finally able to assist their Fleets with the addition of the new space stations, each one providing greatly needed support.

The Resistance Grand Station provides huge fire support through the use of its Heavy Vent Cannon and dual pair XN-31-S Mass Driver Turret, giving an area of threat that no enemy ship will want to enter. This Kit can also be assembled as the Resistance Astrobotanical Outpost, still posing the Heavy Vent Cannon that can crack open any nearby ship, however this ships main role is to use its Signature Bloom to hide friendly ships.

The Newton was the most common pre-war naval defence monitor in the service of mankind. Unlike modern monitors, the class is visually closer to a space station than a ship, suiting its near-static mission profile.

This set contains 3 Resistance Monitors, all able to be built as either Newtons or Galileos. There are parts to build 3 of each, with 3 massive mass drivers and 3 space telescopes.

The craft takes the form of part spaceship and part space station; a fitting look for a monitor! Fully half of the Newton is a giant space laser! Armed with an XN-40 "Godray" Orbital Mass Driver, the Newton is truly a force to be reckoned with! Although slow, who is going to try to get close enough to a Damage 3 weapon? No one that wants to live long! Alternatively you can arm it with a big telescope, making the Galileo. This orbital telescope is excellent in a Resistance fleet for detecting enemies at extreme range. Able to Active Scan, add an extra Spike to the target and also get +1 to Critical hits, this is a real gem of a support ship!

Built in various configurations over the years, the Sagittarii is a typical pre-war cutter, if ‘typical’ can even be applied to such a specialist ship. Almost all the ship’s power is consumed by the drives, necessitating the low power N-12 Artillery Cannon. Instead, add a set of launch bays and you have the Baleares, one of the fastest carriers in mankind’s fleets, embodying the concept of the pre-war pocket carrier.

This set contains 3 Resistance Cutters, all able to be built as either Sagittarii or Balaeres variants. There are parts to build 3 ships, of either variant, and with additional rudder pieces, you can assemble them in a variety of ways; both engines and nose can be put vertically or horizontally for more customisation.

The Sagittarii fills the classic Cutter role: annoying the enemy at high speed! The fastest ship in a Resistance fleet, it can bring its N-12 Artillery Cannons to bear frighteningly early, and often without too much support, leaving that for the rest of your ships. Although not very accurate, a squad of three can wreck even a medium Cruiser with one barrage and a bit of luck. Meanwhile the Baleares is a Pocket Carrier, providing Fighter & Bomber support for the rest of your fleet. With the same blistering speed, it can assist ships at a moment's notice - ideal for Resistance who typically have low Point Defence.

Though lacking in military resources, most fleets scattered by the Scourge invasion had a high proportion of merchantmen - rightly more likely to run than engage. Forced to be inventive, ragtag Resistance groups sought to repurpose civilian vessels to military ends. Haulers often make poor gun platforms but offer capacious internal holds. When combined with ‘repurposed’ shuttles, yachts and small transports, a formidable weapon can result: the Detonator, a hive of remote-operated, explosive-packed fire ships. The most common vessel is a Seneca class - unweildy and utilitarian, it offered pre-war traders the largest storage for the lowest cost, although many other patterns are in service in this unlikely role.
Crewing a repurposed flimsy brick fizzing with improvised time bombs is not for the sane and/or skittish. These individuals are treated with wary respect when on shore leave, notable in the bar due to singed hair - if they’ve survived to douse their burns in booze. In the service of Kalium, Detonators are employed in an altogether more sinister, regimented fashion, which says a lot of how much the Kabal values flesh and blood.

Cast in a single piece, the model has fine detail and the angular armour plates for which the Resistance are well known. A Seneca Detonator has traded its cargo storage for explosives, able to send out loads of Fire Ships to enemy vessels. Of course a ship so full of bombs isn't going to go down quietly - it'll explode on death, causing a much bigger blast than other ships its size!

The Akuma class features a potent cloaking tailfin to mask this lethal killer’s
approach. It can then unleash its considerable oculus-based firepower or manoeuvre

No human settlement is safe from the encroaching Scourge, whether planetside or in space. The Wraith is the archetypal cutter: a small, fast hunter of already fast enemy scouts, outliers and support vessels. Currently, nothing the UCMF possesses can outrun a Wraith. Through the use of its siphon, the Parasite can drain excess hull energy from other ships and take it into itself, redirecting it to overcharge its Oculus weapons to cruiser-level
destructive potential.

This set contains 3 Scourge Cutters, all able to be built as either Wraith or Parasite variants. There are parts to build 3 ships, of either variant, for absolute Scourge carnage.

The Wraith Cutter is blisteringly fast, and not too shabby at shooting either! Like most Scourge, you have to get in close to best use it, but with a Thrust of 16", that won't be hard. Its Plasma Brand provides the Scourge with a Close Action (Beam) weapon, which turns this from an annoying ship to a potentially terrifying one. The Parasite Radiation Leech is a little weirder! Its Energy Siphon ability feeds on nearby Spikes, both friendly and enemy. The larger Spike you absorb, the more powerful your Occulus Rays will become; a squad of three can put out a potential 27 damage! Although they'll be lit up like a Christmas tree, so expect some heavy counter-fire if you ever manage to make that happen.

The Ruby class battlecruiser is a highly potent vessel designed for maximum firepower in a fast, sleek package. It is an excellent interdiction vessel, superlative in the arts of flanking sweeps and the annihilation of enemy supply convoys behind the lines.

The Sapphire class is a more specialised vessel conceived for disruption and close-range engagements. Its pair of ion storm generator banks can inflict crippling anti-shipping damage with the option for use in the orbital bombardment role. The Goethite offers a useful a mixture of eldritch weaponry and launch capability. Its twin Hyperwave Cannons provide extreme firepower with lingering effect, allowing this technological marvel to slip away and on to the next victim before its prey dies. The Hematite is, for the Shaltari, an unsubtle and focused sledgehammer. Its single main armament, a quad battery of Thermal Lance Cannons, can focus a beam of incandescent fury into the heart of any ship, slaying it with ease.
