One of the few races to regularly treat and form pacts with the Asterians are the Matsudan. This ancient race of large, lizard-like creatures is thought to be almost as old as the Asterians themselves. They have a culture steeped in tradition and honour, so the actions of the profit-hungry corporations of the GCPS regularly come into conflict with the Matsudan’s venerable sense of integrity. To say the Asterians exploit this animosity is perhaps harsh, but they certainly don’t discourage it.

Thought to be related to the mighty Spectra, little is known about the mysterious Marionette Phantom. Relying on thicker armour than the smaller Marionette, the Phantom is as adept in close combat as it is at long-range, thanks to Twin Noh Rifles mounted on its wrists. Yes it may not have the foreboding presence of a Spectra, but only a fool would overlook the lethal capabilities of a Phantom.

Despite their size, the Matsudan can move with a grace that belies their bulk. The Inashi is armed with a pair of lethal light blades that can cut foes to ribbons.

The Ōzeki are typically Matsudan in training for the Matsudo Games. They head into the battlefield to hone their skills and fight with honour. The Ion Cannon used by the Yokozuna is one of the Matsudan’s preferred weapons and is able to cause devastation on a scale beyond typical GCPS weaponry.

6th Rates were the smallest of the warships in the Royal Navy rating system, which would have been generally adopted worldwide. This category covered ships with between 20 and 28 guns on a single deck. Although not considered to be powerful enough to take their place alongside larger ships of the line they performed well in other duties and in smaller engagements where the 1st and 2nd Rate man-o-war weren't necessary. Well known 6th Rates include the fictional vessel HMS Surprise as captained by author Patrick O'Brian's Capt. Jack Aubrey whilst C.S. Forester's Horatio Hornblower takes command of HMS Atropos in one of his novels.
