Buckhorn Ranch is a typical example of life on the frontier. It's changed hands many times over the years, occasionally sold by a family who've grown too old to look after the place but more often through nefarious means. The Lodge is usually reserved for trusted workers to stay while they're working the ranch. It's often the last chance for them to rest in an honest to goodness bed before they hit the cattle trail.
