• The Ambarox are a true oddity. No one is certain whether they were created by Garkan at all. Rather, drawn to the lightning upon which they seem to feed, these large, insectoid creatures burrowed out of their subterranean lairs when the Riftforged Orcs emerged from the Abyss. Their bony protrusions are able to channels lightning into their own bodies, causing them to glow and crackle with barely controllable energy, and then discharge it at the foe in powerful blasts.

Initiation into these savage airborne cavalry units is an ordeal in itself, for the chosen legionary must first select their mount from the legion's winged manticores. In battle, Helstrikers are tasked with swooping over the enemy ranks, causing as much disruption as possible by tearing apart enemy wizards, artillery teams and commanders, before launching devastating charges into the rear of larger formations, putting even the most powerful foes to flight.

  • As the Union pushed out into the Pacific and Atlantic, it required significant air power to support fleet operations. The Enterprise class is a formidable warship and the largest vessel in the Union naval register. Once dubbed the Great Experiment, the success of these vessels is beyond doubt. Powered by three massive Paddlewheels, this mighty vessel retains some of the manoeuvrability of the smaller Union ships while still being able to keep the ship moving at an impressive speed for its size. The recent addition of launch cables allow for more rapid deployment of Corsairs, of which it carries ten squadrons. The Enterprise class Heavy Carriers also serve as mobile headquarters for Admirals and other high ranking military and civil individuals of note when the fleet operates far from home waters.

    Alongside the frontline ships of the Union Navy, the Enterprise is rarely seen without a small flotilla of support vessels. The Washington Missile Cruiser serves to increase the long-range firepower of the battlefleet as well as providing additional cover against enemy aircraft. Armed with Kettering pattern cruise missiles, the crew of Washington class vessels often make use of observation rotors and spotters in fighter squadrons to ensure the deadly payload strikes true.

    The Roanoke Strike Carriers provide increased air support to the already prodigious number of Squadrons carried by the Enterprise. These Cruisers employ powerful electromagnetic catapults to rapidly launch their Corsair strike fighters into the fray, the Roanoke carrier is a valuable vessel in the Union fleet. The class was named after the Union naval base on Roanoke Island, destroyed in 1862 during the Ore War.

    A rarer sight are the new Discovery Class Arc Cruisers. Given sufficient development from The Pipeworks to be given general deployment in the Union Fleet, the Discovery class are replete with Edwina Houston and Nikolai Tesla's Arc technologies. These deadly state of the art weapons can flash burn through the hulls of the mightiest enemy battleships in a burst of incandescence.

    Finally, with a reputation for working miracles, the crews of Montgomery support ships are always a welcome addition to any battlefleet. Scores of repair teams use a combination of flight gear and escort craft to effect repairs and rescue to friendly vessels in need. These ships are also able to provide field repairs to the RC-52 Patriot Automata. These towering simulacra are designed by the brilliant theoretical engineers at The Pipeworks, and is the largest automata in the Union's military. Just like smaller automata, over time their adaptive computations develop quirks that give veteran Automata distinctive personalities.

    The Enterprise Battlefleet Set kit builds twenty two multi-part plastic & resin miniatures;

    • 1x Enterprise Heavy Carrier
    • 3x Yorktown Class Cruisers
      • Each Cruiser can alternatively be built as either Intrepid, Lexington or Reliant Class
    • 6x Farragut Class Frigates

  • The supporting cruisers that are assigned to Battlefleets through the forces of the Empire vary greatly. From the imposing Hokkaido Heavy Cruiser down to the nimble Kanagawa Monitor there is a cruiser variant for every mission. Japanese Cruiser groups are typically accompanied by Chita Submersible Automata. These engineering wonders are equal to the mechanical creations of the Covenant of the Enlightened and are used to protect the fleet from threats beneath the waves as well as assisting in assaults. While the Chita are designed to operate independently for lengthy periods, they lack the endurance of the much larger Kaiju class automata. Ishikawa strike cruisers and Yamaguchi Attack Cruisers are essential in maintaining these escorts far from a drydock, their moon pools enabling repairs and refuelling of the Chita to take place.

    The Okinawa and Miyagi Class Cruisers are equipped with limited numbers of reconnaissance aircraft that act as spotters and limited aerial defence. When needs must they can also perform bombing runs on enemy shipping but usually only when supported by other aerial units.

    The Japanese favour Kyoto frigates when running their patrols between the far-flung islands of their homeland. The vessels are ideally suited for this task and for new sailors a year on a Kyoto is their first experience of the proud naval traditions of the Blazing Sun.

    The Japanese Frontline Squadrons kit builds ten multi-part plastic miniatures;

    • 2x Osaka Cruisers (Each Cruiser can alternatively be built as either Kanagawa, Hokkaido, Okinawa, Miyagi, Yamaguchi, Ishikawa or Honshu Cruiser)
    • 4x Kyoto Frigates
    • 4x Chita Automata
    • 2x SRS Tokens

  • The town of Red Oak has seen more than its fair share of shootouts and gunfights. Its location in the Arizona territory seems to be within the reach of many of the varied groups who hope to gain some sway over the people of the West. The bridge in town is the only one for miles up and downstream and could be considered a strategic point for anyone with military learning. Wyatt Earp passes through, sometimes dropping off his latest quary in the Jail until they can be properly tried. The Metalsmith in town is usually tasked with fixing some broken piece of equipment or other that most rough-and-tumble types don't have the smarts to look after properly. Various Outlaw gangs end up in town wanting to trade or spend their ill-gotten gains on whatever entertainment their minds can think up. The Cathouse and Saloon are usually the first place Outlaws (or anyone new in town for that matter) head to. If trouble starts in either of these places the locals usually make sure the instigators are sent to the last place in town anyone wants to visit, the Crematorium. It's an unusual site but the local Boot Hill was filled to bursting during the Ore War so most of the locals have got used to the foul-smelling smoke on Sunday afternoons. The one place that isn't busy is the Prospector's Shack just on the outskirts. Some say it's haunted and some say that Old Joshua just likes to keep to himself with the aid of a shotgun. Either way, most folks keep their distance.

    Please note: Scenery items are manufactured in Medium Density Fibre Board (MDF). Buildings are supplied primed and some assembly will be required. Assembly instructions can be found online and by scanning the QR printed on the packaging.

  • The line between madness and genius is a fine one. Often an invention thought outlandish and unusable, has subsequently become almost commonplace. It is a time when the Covenant of the Enlightened discovered Sturginium and introduced RJ-1027 to the world and made marvels of engineering such as automata and iron horses. There are always those looking to push boundaries further and be noticed in such a world where remarkable contraptions such as the Strider-Cav walk the earth. In the case of the Prussian scientist Ludwig Berblinger, it was the notion of 'walking the earth' that he sought to challenge. When he was declared persona non grata by the Teutonic Knight Luminaries after his demonstration crashed their prototype Jaeger aerial destroyer, Berblinger joined other ostracised Prussian intellects in turning to the Enlightened. His greatest offering was the Sickle Gyro Cav, a feat that he was certain would fly into a future where Berblinger's genius eclipsed all others. The Sickle featured a surgically modified pilot permanently integrated into Berblinger's flying machine. After several spectacular failures, the design soon saw use across the Enlightened's holdings for reconnaissance and as an extremely mobile weapons platform. The Sickle's gyro-stabilized engines, refined from the drives used in the larger Scythe drone fighter, allow the nimble craft to speed through the air as easily as it can hover in place. For offensive purposes, the Sickle can be outfitted with similar armaments to those found on Iron Horses. Most often the Sickle carries paired gatling guns to enable it to strafe a target as it flies. The roar of its engines and bark of its guns are usually the first and last sounds that enemies of the Enlightened will hear at its arrival.
