Where: Valhalla Hobby
When: Sunday, June 8th, 2025
Registration: 11:00am -11:20 am
Format: Havoc
Entry: $15
Player expectations:
All players are required to bring their Seeker, Legacy, and Terrain cards. Players are required to bring the appropriate number of printed models and/or official cardboard standees corresponding to their decklist. Player decks should be between 30 and 50 cards and sleeved. You may also include up to 7 cards in your Side Deck. After pairing for the round and seeing your opponent’s Seeker and Terrain choices, you may swap cards freely between your deck and side deck. Ensure your deck is at the minimum 30 cards afterwards before presenting to be cut after shuffling.
Each player should bring a printed decklist. This can be from the malediction deck builder or any other reasonable printed format. I will provide sheets that can be filled out the day of as well as share these in the Valhalla Hobby discord ahead of time.
Proxy cards will be allowed on a case by case basis. As backers may not have received their products in time, an emailed decklist with proof of ownership of said cards may be submitted prior and Oliver will print the necessary cards in black and white for you to use at the tournament. Proxying cards that you do not own is not permissible. e.g. owning only the Conclave faction set and proxying Order cards for Londriel.
Play at a reasonable pace. If you suspect your opponent is playing slowly, please alert Oliver so that this can be monitored, especially late in a round.
Rules:
Oliver will handle all judge calls. There will be no appeals. Until we are given advanced rules and tournament guidelines, this will be our pattern. Pace of tournament completion will be weighed more heavily than rules disputes. I will have final say and we move forward for the respect of everyone attending and their time.
Rounds:
We will play 4 rounds with a break. Round timer will be 70 minutes for this first tournament. If a round finishes early and players are present, we will pair the next round. (See tiebreakers for potential round drift)
- Round 1: 11:30 am - 12:40 pm
- Round 2: 12:45 pm - 1:55 pm
- Break: 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
- Round 3: 2:40 pm - 3:50 pm
- Round 4: 4:00 pm – 5:10 pm
- Votes and Prizing: 5:15 pm - 5:30 pm
Tiebreakers:
The game will stop immediately when time expires. At that point we will assess the status of the incomplete games.
The tie breakers at that point are:
- The player with more mastery wins.
- If there’s still a tie, the player with more relics wins.
- If there’s still a tie, then the current round will finish and these tiebreakers will be assessed again, if needed.
For the sake of everyone’s time, we will then end the round as a proper tie if no winner is determined rather than playing another round as prescribed in the basic rules.
Tournament Tiebreakers:
Custom for this tournament:
- Strength of Schedule
- Mastery margin of victory
- Total relics held at end of game(s)
Prizing:
Best painted and best opponent will receive store credit dependent on turnout. 1st will receive a small trophy.
