  • In the land of Westeros, a title is a potential gateway to a life of leisure. Having land and dominion over those on it can easily lead to never having to work a single day. The Warrior's Sons, however, have eschewed all lands and titles, devoting their lives to the Seven. Instead of having servants bring them everything, they have honed their combat skills and owe their service to High Septon. The Warrior's Sons unit box gives Lannister players a righteous arm out on the battlefield. These highly-skilled and well-equipped soldiers are an avenging scythe, cutting down those who oppose them and using their faith to bolster themselves during combat, gaining Faith tokens that they can use for different bonuses and abilities. While the organization has traditionally lax rules for recruitment, there is still a period where those that sign up are simply conscripts, being used where necessary to keep those south of The Wall safe. Eventually, if they survive, and with proper training, they will have the opportunity to join the Night's Watch proper. The Conscripts unit box for the Night's Watch army is not as strong or as tough as many of the other units available to Night's Watch Commanders. However, what they lack in abilities they make up for in ease of fielding. Night's Watch units can get costly points-wise to bring to battle, so the Conscripts can help balance numbers closer to equal. And the Watch Recruiter Unit Attachment can help any unit in the Night's Watch army work just a bit more efficiently. • The battlefields of the 1900s have changed drastically from even a few decades prior. The King's Empire has adapted to the changing nature of war by creating the Grenadiers; soldiers who are trained in the use of grenade launchers. Fitted with the ability to use multiple types of ammo, these grenade launchers allow the Grenadiers to hunt the biggest threats of the battlefield: blocks of infantry soldiers and the massive Titans.

On the tabletop, the Grenadiers rely upon their grenade launchers to deal heavy damage to infantry units and Titans alike. They are a straightforward unit that attract a great deal of attention on the battlefield, if only due to the sheer amount of damage they are capable of unleashing.

  • There are many paths to walk when following the Burning Man, but none are as revered as the Warped. Though their bodies have been infused with magic, they have found themselves capable of controlling that power. The most impressive use of this power is the Warped's ability to open minor portals that allow them to quickly move from one

    location to the next.

On the tabletop, the Warped are a solid melee unit that combines durability and offensive power with incredible mobility. Their ability to teleport directly into close combat with other Fireteams can be used both offensively and defensively, making them a versatile unit that forms the backbone of many Cult Companies.

They try to stick to dark places, slinking from shadow to shadow as they creep up on their unsuspecting prey. Worse yet, their incredibly sharp teeth contain potent venom, making them effective against even larger prey.

On the tabletop, Striped Skulkers are forward scouts and assassins that are more self-reliant than other Hordes forces. Unlike other units, it can sometimes be a good idea to let Striped Skulkers perish when attacked, as they can use the Endless Numbers Ability of the Gibbering Hordes Allegiance to come back almost anywhere in play.

Just when a world war seemed ready to erupt, horrendous creatures from a plane known as Malifaux tore their way through reality. The true battle of survival has begun.

The Other Side is a game about allegiances doing battle across the Earth in a fight for supremacy and survival. Using 32mm miniatures, players will control squads of troops, powerful commanders and massive Titans as they attempt to defeat their foes and seize control of the Earth. Conflict is resolved through the use of a deck of cards, allowing players more control over their own destinies. The Other Side shares a world with Malifaux, but the games are not compatible.

The Abyssinian Empire was born in Ethiopia, on the east coast of Africa, hundreds of years ago, but its rise to prominence in Africa (and the rest of the world) came in the 1800s. With the world thrown into chaos with the opening of the Breach and the subsequent Black Powder Wars, Abyssinia began rapidly expanding its borders. Now, with the rise of the Burning Man, Abyssinia has decided to once again expand their global reach.

Abyssinians are the masters of Soulstone technology. A temporary breach to the world of Malifaux in the seventeenth century gave them access to Soulstones years before anyone else, though they kept this a closely guarded secret. This fueled innovation and led to Abyssinia being the most advanced nation on Earth. The Abyssinian army is a mix of elite troops and machines of war, able to fight effectively in melee or at range.

  • Frenzies are deadly creatures that travel in powerful hunting packs. The three strongest Frenzies in a group are in charge of the others. Though this arrangement is simple, there are regular challenges to authority, and in larger pods, the three Frenzies in charge of the group can change quite rapidly. They do not speak but instead project their thoughts outward, bullying the other members of the Gibbering Hordes into submission through sheer force of will.

On the tabletop, the Frenzy benefits immensely from being both a Commander and a Squad. Most importantly, this allows the Frenzy to Reinforce to replace lost members, which gives them a greater capacity than most to survive incoming attacks and recover from a particularly brutal fight.

Commander boxes provide players with the leaders of their Allegiance, those who lead their forces in battle and drastically change an Allegiance play style depending on which is in the game. For a standard Two Commander game of The Other Side, each player is required to have two unique Commanders (1 is provided in the Allegiance Box). These Commander boxes are a quick and easy way for a player to start growing their Company.

Horomatangi is also a Titan. These monstrous Titans are a centerpiece for their Allegiances and often dominate the battlefield. In the game, Titans are incredibly sturdy units that can provide a powerful presence in a players company, whether by carrying the frontline of an army forward or by supporting their forces through generating dynamic auxiliary effects.

  • Karkinoi primarily dwell in the shallow caves along the coasts of Malifaux, though a few breeds still linger in the deeper parts of the ocean. Karkinoi are pack hunters that prefer to overwhelm creatures much larger than themselves and feed as a group. They reproduce rapidly, often laying nearly-hatched eggs into whatever parts of their prey they choose not to consume. In Malifaux, those eggs serve as food for many other creatures, but on Earth, those predators are absent, and the Karkinoi population is increasing at an unchecked rate.

On the tabletop, Karkinoi are fast, relatively durable, and hard-hitting. When coupled with their ability to summon Egg Clutches, this create is a well rounded melee unit that forms the backbone of the strongest hunting pods.
