Having harnessed the power of the Rent for themselves, the Doctors of the Ospedale want to push their experiments to the limits of what is possible. Looking to discover where the monstrous Rashaar come from, a new subsection of the Ospedale has opened, designated as the Tide Research wing.

Headed by the Doctors of the Tides, the Doctors have captured Rashaar specimens and have been able to successfully implant gills into human test subjects. Even more groundbreaking, the Tide Research wing has discovered a truth about the Rent that, once revealed, will change Venice forever.

This box is led by a Doctor of the Tides sporting a huge diving suit, powered by a madness crystal and wielding a trident capable of skewering any sea creature they come across. Assisting the Doctor is a Marine Biologist, a specialist in Rashaar physiology, sporting gills and fins to traverse the depths faster.

A Harvester waits aboard the ship to reel in any caught specimens whilst a Diving Assistant uses a smaller trident to protect their master during the expeditions underwater. Finally, proving to the Ospedale that the experiments are working, a Mermaid is a human stitched together with a fish to create a horrifying affront to nature.

The Doctors of the Ospedale are always tinkering and experimenting. Whether that's on live subjects or on machinery, the future of technology lies with them. As the turn of the 19th Century looms, the Doctors are going to drag Venice into an age of technological enlightenment, willingly or not. 

Industrial Works provides the Doctors gang with the next step of technological innovation, adding a significant punch to their array of ranged damage dealers. They are led by a Master of Arcane Security, donning a full mech-suit powered by madmen, sporting a flame cannon and a huge blade.

Accompanying the Master of Arcane Security is a new Ordnance Doctor who wields a gun powerful enough to reduce their target to molten slag. An Electron Cannoneer fires pure electricity at their foes whilst a Voltage Bombardier harnesses the energy of two madmen and fires it as an electric beam. Too much power at once can lead to the device and the madmen detonating, causing a massive explosion of electrical energy. Maintaining these new creations is an Apprentice Doctor, hoping that one of their creations will take Venice by storm.

"Gather 'round...Gather 'round. Prepare to feast your eyes on creatures of myth and legend. Don't scream, you might... provoke them". What the Doctor revealed was truly a scene from myth and legend. Creatures both peculiar and majestic, exactly as the tales of their appearance describe. It was almost too magical to be true.

A growing menagerie comes bursting forth, giving the Doctors even more creatures to bring to the streets of Venice. On the job learning sees an Apprentice doctor trying to become a master of zoology corralling their charges. The Basilisk possesses potent venom that can incapacitate any unfortunate enough to feel its bite. Launching a hail of spines from afar is the Manticore, an agile creature with lethal accuracy and unsettling appearance.

Swooping from up high with its claws to bare is the Hippogryph, a great aerial option that the doctors can put to good use. Finally there is the largest of the beasts, the mighty Hippocampus, this sea stallion is perfectly at home at the crests of waves. Charging onto the streets from the canals, this seahorse can stun and knockback any unfortunate enemies in it's path.

This thing was like nothing he'd seen before... All arms, claws and teeth. With bubbling tanks of orange liquid feeding directly into open wounds carved open with a heavy hand, the monstrosity was a nightmare made manifest.

This monstrosity is one of the Doctor's foulest creations, the endless tide of limbs can tackle even the strongest of foes. Like a wave, the bodies can move through the smallest of spaces and no matter how long you fight, it will keep coming.

This set is a great addition to any Doctors gang. The Doctor of Blood is a mage that has discovered the secrets of bloodletting by magic and fuels their own casting with it. A Morgue Doctor brings with them additional magic as well as a commanding presence. A Doctor of Venesection offers their support, though may struggle with heavy lifting. Fuelled by the Elixir of Death, a Brined Horror drags itself along with its masters and is a macabre horror made of spare sea creature parts

The study of necromancy is whispered in hushed tones... everywhere except the Ospedale San Servolo. Headed by doctors on the bleeding edge of their field, an Elixir of Death is used to bring souls back from the other side... with mixed results.

This complete Doctors gang is led by a Master of Necromantic Studies, using her Elixir of Death to transform herself into a vampiric beast. She herds a pair of Husks - reanimated forms made from (mostly whole) corpses. The spare parts are turned into a towering Monstrosity. Finally a Doctor of Venesection has been cursed to live an eternal life - her brain is there, but she’s a bit too deadly to practice in the Ospedale with all her limbs.

This box contains one of the most potent mages in Carnevale, and plenty of staff to help him achieve his goals. The Doctor of the Mind is a Leader unlike any others - frail, but terrifying to his enemies. What he lacks in strength is more than made up by the Warden, and he is accompanied by two Nurses to protect and heal him. And of course, what would a Doctor be without a Madman to accompany him to provide magic energy?

The docks of San Servolo are constantly moving, exporting medicine and technology off-site, and importing all sorts of strange beasts. The Doctors use their magic to control these animals, perverting them to be single-minded in following orders.

This box contains some real heavy hitters for a Doctors gang. The Doctor of the Beasts is a potent mage, and has complete control over the viciou Lion and the fiercly protective winged Gorilla. The force is backed up by two Lab Assistants, their shock prods working just as well on enemy fighters as on their own quarries.

The Doctor of the Firmament is more engrossed in his studies than silly things like solid walls, while the Doctor of Poisons is best suited to taking down the biggest prey. An Apprentice Doctor mimics other special skills, and the two Hollowmen show what happens when all the magic is drained from a Madman.

The tiny island of La Grazia is owned by the Doctors of the Ospedale. The experiments done on the isle are unknown to most, but explosions can be heard all the way across the lagoon, and bright arching energy crackle from there, lighting up the night sky.

A La Grazia force of Doctors eschews the traditional Madmen and magic that many Doctors gangs are known for. Instead, the two Alchemist Doctors take to battle in a more head-on way, throwing caution out the window in favour of explosive grenades. The Electron Cannoneer trades personal safety for arching power that can hit multiple enemies, and the three are accompanied by two Carrion, whose Implanted Tools help them to climb and steal!

The Doctors of the Ospedale San Servolo have spent many hours experimenting on animals in the most inhumane ways. Led by

the Master of Zoology, they cut open and “improve” these beasts, all the better to herd to battle.

Led by the master of Zoology with her Electrified Mace, this set takes the fight to the enemies of the Doctors. A Doctor of the Beasts backs her up, helping to drive both the Crocodile and the Rhino straight at their opponents. Devastating on the charge and in the water, these beasts provide a strong backbone (probably not their own) to a Doctors gang.

One of Grand Master Faust's grandest plans for the Doctors of San Servolo is to find a way to reverse the passage of time - the key to immortality. The Being is the first step on the way to that goal. Using crackling magical energy, this experiment has brought the dead back to life, although it seems to be mostly a fluke, since the Morgue Doctors haven't been able to recreate the conditions since.

The Morgue Doctor and Being work well together as a pair. The Morgue Doctor provides a vital support role, able to heal the Being and other friendly characters, while not getting too stuck into the fight. The Being however will get stuck right in! A unique character, the Being is strong and tough. With loads of Life Points and a great Attack value, Doctors players looking for a true offensive champ need look no further.

Masses of fanged tentacles emerge from the victim, turning into a host for an otherworldly possession. Luckily for the residents of Venice these results are hard to reproduce, although it's only a matter of time before the Doctors figure out the process.

This set contains an Unleashed Madman, one of the most potent combatants in a Doctors gang. Propelled along on elongated tentacles, this bizarre character is fast and an excellent climber. The Nexus rule allows other Doctors to take the Madman's Will Points, but its real strength is when it gets into combat with multiple enemies, the tentacles whipping out in every direction.
