The hedonism of the Venetian nobility has taken a new and somewhat medieval turn. As the ‘floating city’, Venice has never had forests or game with which the nobles of Venice could hunt. Now as part of some Masqueratas, the nobles release captured civilians to be hunted. Bedecked in hunting garments and long leather hunting boots, the hunters chase their prey around the narrow winding streets of Venice: the houses acting as the trees, cobble pavements the tracks and the canals the streams to be jumped over. Painted a bright yellow and stripped naked, the civilians desperately try to escape the pursuit.

Hunting Dogs chase their ‘game’ whilst a Venetian Spy uses a hunting rifle to target their prey from range. Finally a Heavy Venetian Guard acts as muscle if any of the fauna of Venice try to fight back. The host who organises the hunt watches from horseback as her guests revel in the chase.

Though Vlad no longer truly cares what happens to his Strigoi, he is selective over who he turns into one of his followers. He is particularly more interested in his brides and the abominations he creates. One of Vlad’s oldest and most loyal servants acts as a sort of judge who oversees prospective new Strigoi as well as being responsible for producing their food...human flesh naturally.
Though Vlad is still weary of the Wallachian armed forces arrival, he is glad to have an organised military fist he can use. Judging those who are worthy to join the Targoveti as well as those from their ranks who are ready to become fully fledged Strigoi, the Strigoi Jude as he’s known, travels around the city in search of recruits.

The Strigoi Jude, wearing a wig of office. Acting as bodyguards, two Giurgiu Guard are a shield wall for their master whilst a Poenari Scout jumps across the rooftops looking for potential recruits. Finally, a Strigoi Sluger adds muscle to the box. Acting as a grappler who captures human livestock for the Strigoi.

Even among the crazed cult of the End of Days, the Pulcinellas that draw the Ostrich Chariot are renowned for their chaotic nature, finding any excuse for a fight. Pulled by two ostriches, the Ostrich Chariot causes absolute pandemonium as it charges around the narrow streets of Venice, knocking over stalls and civilians alike. The Pulcinellas that ride the chariot throw Molotov cocktails at groups of enemies and smash their heads in with nailed clubs all the while guzzling down bottles of booze. These are some of the most crazed members of the Cult of the End of Days, not trusted with actual assignments they are ‘set loose’ by the Capodecina’s to cause as much damage to the enemy as possible. Any damages are collateral in the eyes of the Guild as a single chariot by itself can often turn the tide of a skirmish.

Seriously who gave these guys the opportunity to build this monstrosity? As if the Pulcinellas riding around Venice on ostriches causing destruction wherever they went wasn't bad enough, somehow they've gotten their hands on a chariot?!?!?

After Vlad’s attack on San Servolo, a new wing of the Opsedale opened under Dr Lucieta Bollani, with the purpose of perfecting blood studies. What could be achieved by combining blood-particularly Strigoi blood, and madness energy.

The Unholy Union was only a prelude to what the Doctors of Blood might be capable of creating. Initial results have greatly helped the Necromancy wing of San Servolo. By using the Elixir of Death gained from extracting blood from the captured Strigoi Elsebeth, test subjects have been able to regrow limbs as well as give undead life to corpses, creating ghoulish hollowmen. 

This box is led by a Doctor of the Blood, who manipulates blood and madness energies together. An Apprentice Doctor supports them, while a Shackled Feaster uses Blood Magic to regrow limbs as it tears through the enemy.

Finally, two Ghouls are nightmarish hollowmen, who, after being given the elixir, have turned violent and unstable.

The Opulent Noble demands complete obedience from his followers, often shouting out commands, bits of half-chewed food, and spittle drooling from his mouth. It is little surprise that the Opulent Noble has grown so enormous that he is carried upon a palanquin, held up by four servants. Sat on the finest padded chair atop his palanquin, bedecked in the finest silks and golden cutlery, this noble travels throughout Venice, sampling any and all foods that take his fancy

During the World's Fair, one of the most popular displays was led by a radical new branch of the Opsedale, given the designation of Theoretical Traversion. Harnessing the power of the rent into handheld switches, the Doctors of the Firmament can manipulate their density. Turning themselves almost translucent in appearance with a flick of a switch, they can pass through solid walls, re-emerging on the other side. With another flick of a switch, the doctor can rematerialize as if nothing had happened. Naturally, the Opsedale have taken full advantage of this technological innovation, using these devices to capture potential test subjects or to eliminate opposition hiding away. 

The Doctor of the Firmament leads this box, traversing through a barrel, she looks to be directing her forces. Assisting her is an Apprentice Doctor, armed with a tuning fork to ensure the Traversal Slates are tuned to distort matter to the correct size.

An Ethereal Assassin phases through walls to eliminate key threats to the Opsedale with poison, while an Ethereal Snatcher uses the device to kidnap prospective test subjects and enemies alike. A madman finishes the box, adding some madness energy, and topping up the devices as required.

Harlots who now begin to kill for the sake of acquiring blood. Their depravity knows no bounds and it is said that even fellow members of the Guild have been brutally murdered for their blood. These harlots use the collected blood for their magic’s and rumours are rife amongst the other Courtesan houses that the Blood Matrons even bathe in the collected blood. Whatever the truth, the results have been telling. Whilst the Blood Matrons mostly direct their attention on the enemies of the Guild, the Princes of Thieves turn a blind eye.

The box contains a Blood Matron armed with a pithing needle to lead her Blood Coven. A Seamstress divines the fates, using her magic to protect her sisters of the Coven and a Blood Courier is tasked with transporting the blood collected from the orgies of blood. Finally, two Harlots carry out acts of bloodletting, empowering the Coven.

With the recent escalation of violence in La Serenissima, the City Guard have been pushed to their breaking point and beyond. Even the Ottoman forces have been stretched thin, suffering heavy casualties.

That changed when reinforcements arrived, headed by the leader of the Janissaries himself, Chorbaji. A ruthless man but a brilliant tactician, Chorbaji rallied the Ottoman forces and instilled a new level of discipline.

Alongside him, the Janissaries brought in more specialised equipment better suited for Venetian combat- axes, bows and even bombs with which to assault clusters of enemies.

This box is led by Chorbaji himself, resplendently armoured and equipped with a mace. A Janissary with an axe breaks down the doors that criminals hide behind, whereas a pirate adds some muscle.

A Janissary Sapper throws bombs at close range and an Archer provides long-range support.

Having harnessed the power of the Rent for themselves, the Doctors of the Ospedale want to push their experiments to the limits of what is possible. Looking to discover where the monstrous Rashaar come from, a new subsection of the Ospedale has opened, designated as the Tide Research wing.

Headed by the Doctors of the Tides, the Doctors have captured Rashaar specimens and have been able to successfully implant gills into human test subjects. Even more groundbreaking, the Tide Research wing has discovered a truth about the Rent that, once revealed, will change Venice forever.

This box is led by a Doctor of the Tides sporting a huge diving suit, powered by a madness crystal and wielding a trident capable of skewering any sea creature they come across. Assisting the Doctor is a Marine Biologist, a specialist in Rashaar physiology, sporting gills and fins to traverse the depths faster.

A Harvester waits aboard the ship to reel in any caught specimens whilst a Diving Assistant uses a smaller trident to protect their master during the expeditions underwater. Finally, proving to the Ospedale that the experiments are working, a Mermaid is a human stitched together with a fish to create a horrifying affront to nature.

Dagon is well renowned throughout Venice as a charitable, generous deity. His followers help any citizen that finds themselves in need of succour. To those citizens and peoples that take advantage of Dagon’s kindness, he unleashes his most fanatical followers, his Adherents.

These worshippers of the old god attack the enemies of Dagon wherever they might be found. No crowd or hiding place is safe from the Adherents who infiltrate many groups or societies that might turn on their benevolent deity

To exact Dagon’s justice, Adherents are led by the mighty Thalidraur, a monster capable of using sonar to locate its foes. A large hardened bone crest enables the Thalidraur to crash through walls where the enemies of Dagon are hiding, only to get torn to shreds by its monstrous claws.

A Paliaa and Demagogue act as the voices of Dagon, preaching out into the streets to attract new recruits whilst converting those followers who cling to the papal religion. Finally two Zealots brand themselves to demonstrate their devotion to Dagon; wielding wicked daggers they end the lives of many who would speak ill of Dagon.

The latest of Vlad’s experiments, the Monstrous Stryx is a Strzyga that has forcefully been fed a variety of meat by Vlad; the results of which have been truly horrifying. Far, far larger than anything previously seen from the Strigoi, the Stryx can tear through shop fronts with its bulk, rip a horse to shreds with its claws and bite a man in two with a single bone crunching snap of its jaws.
The Stryx has no eyes to speak of, which gives its face a rather morbid look. It does however use a form of echolocation whilst gliding in the skies to find their prey, sharply descending to attack once it’s honed in on food. This echolocation does give out a screeching sound which terrifies nearby citizens near enough to hear the piercing shriek.Vlad revels in telling his followers that he has found a way to ascend his forces into higher, more powerful entities. If this is true or not, none can say. What is sure however, is this latest experiment has produced the most powerful servant for Vlad yet. 

The Strigoi saw the Morgraur and have answered in kind. The Monstrous Stryx strikes from above and delivers slashing blow after blow, tearing through flesh and steel. If you don't see the Stryx you will certainly hear it as its Baleful Screech ruptures your eardrums.

Like all vampires the Stryx has regenerative capability second to none, so no matter who you send they will not fell this mighty beast.

The crusade against unbelievers has taken its toll on the Vatican forces, none more so than those that martyr themselves. Having fought against monsters, vampires, and all manner of heathen, these holy men have been shaken to the core, now no longer able to communicate in real words, they speak solely in tongues.
Those of them that still show exemplary zeal get inducted into the Knights of Silence to aid the Exorcists in their divine work. To prevent unbelievers from hearing their holy words, heavy helms are placed over lips sewn shut. Only in the grace of death can these holy warriors speak freely once more. 

Led by the looming presence of a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre wielding a deadly flail and garbed in a hooded visage, the Knights of Silence leave no witnesses to their acts of barbarism.

Supported by two fanatical Redemptionists, a Sepulchral Vanguard smites the tainted with a flaming mace, dealing divine justice to the unholy.

Finally, a Silere Priest supports the Knights of Silence with magical protection, enabling them to ward off all but the gravest of wounds.
