The Torchlight Brigade was a dormant project fed with reserved funds. Its members were secretly recruited among the best troops of Bureau Aegis and Bureau Noir, and they pledged to answer the call whenever a new planet, a potential new home for humankind was in danger, whenever a law enforcement and security force was needed to operate in the remotest settlements in the middle of uncharted territory. Scattered throughout the Sphere, its dormant agents waited until the time came to carry the torch that would bring light to those distant colonies, out there where chaos reigns supreme and injustice lurks in the shadows.

Lady Télia
----------

This is an Elite Scout unit. She shines when playing her solo, deploying early in battle to eliminate enemy Characters from a distance. Within a unit, she boosts their firepower and improves their effectiveness: an efficient symbiosis where the unit increases its durability on the table and Lady Télia is protected by her companions.

What does she bring to your army?

2 command tokens, an aspect of the game where the Hegemony excels.

Theability to eliminate enemy Characters even when attached to a unit (by default,you cannot specifically attack a Character, only their unit).

Can join Pioneers, increasing their reliability in shooting.

Pioneers
--------

They are a Scout unit capable of taking objectives quickly, protecting them and driving the enemy out of them.

What do they bring to your army?

As Scouts, they can burst into battle at any time and harass a flank or weaken the enemy.

Ranged attack and an skill that allows them to attack the enemy without needing to see them, doing a lot of damage.

They can set explosive traps.

Njord, The Merciless
--------------------

On the battlefield Njord is a lethal warrior leader, who draws strength from every blow to continue attacking the enemy. His tattoos and 4 wounds make him a difficult character to eliminate.

What does he bring to his army?

2 command tokens, very important for the Northern Tribes.

As an Elite, he has a very high damage output. His attack switches ensure that he will do damage almost every time.

His command skill allows him to ignore damage, making him very resilient.

He gains new keywords and upgrades to his attack and defense rolls as he accumulates wounds.

Skin Changers
-------------

A unit with a very good attack that has two possible configurations: an agile one in the form of a Scout that allows it toreach any point on the battlefield, and a tough one with a Wound value of 4 that, along with some Support that improves its defense, makes it a difficult enemy to eliminate. They are Ahlwardt's (Ice Bear) favorite unit.

What do they bring to your army?

With morale 2, any Character that boosts their morale or gives them conquest value helps them become one of the best assault units.

Ahlward, the mighty leader of the Skin Changers, merges the beast's supremacy in combat with the varank's rational control, consistently dominating the battle—a combination as powerful as it is terrifying.

Very few varank are able to keep a level head when changing forms, often being completely dominated by their totem. There are so few true Skin Changers that many legends revolve around them, oft repeated throughout generations.

This is the main reason Ahlwardt Ice Bear’s name is renowned as a great warlord and strategist, followed by most of his people. The Jarl is a killing machine when he takes the form of the gigantic white bear, capable of severing an arm with a single claw swipe or biting the head off an enemy. Yet, at all times, he remains in control, leading the battle and keeping his most primal instincts on a short leash.

Armies: JSA

Emblazoned with the national banner, Mechazoids are the guardians and the armored shields of Greater Independent Japan’s cities. Their main duty is to protect the major urban centers and the most important military facilities from both enemies and MegaBeasts. But they are also the sword of the JSA in the outer territories, fending off any foreign power reckless enough to threaten the sovereignty of their country.

Despite the belief of many, Ajax, one of the greatest Myrmidon heroes of the Assault Sub-section, is not an ALEPH Recreation. Born with the name Glaboros DG-056 this Myrmidon with a peculiar history would win the nickname Ajax the Great in combat, with sweat, and above all, blood.
