The Havana is the earliest type of destroyer currently in service with the UCMF, having first seen combat with the Shaltari in 2596. Its design stems from older and largely outmoded naval strategies revolving around the use of torpedoes as primary weapons.
The Vancouver class emerged from the UCMF Naval Design Bureau in the late 2640s in response to the obvious need for more cost effective fighter and bomber support than the well armed Seattle class offered.
The Kyiv is an interesting vessel, in that it features a pair of super-heavy UF-9000 series mass drivers in a fixed position. These impressive weapons are heavier gauge than those mounted in almost any other UCMF warship, save the mighty dreadnoughts. The mission role of Kyiv class is to hunt and kill the most heavily armoured enemy vessels with swift brutality. They are unsubtle sledgehammers and the bane of enemy flagships. Many an enemy admiral has met their ignominious deaths at the hands of this smaller adversary since its inception in the 2640s.

The sleek design of the UCM Destroyers uses the typical fins of the UCM and arranges them in three completely distinct ways for three completely different ships! The Havana's Light Torpedoes provide surprising punch, the Vancouver gives a handy (and cheap) launch vessel, and the Kyiv is the UCM's Heavy Destroyer, its UF-9000 Twin Mass Driver the bane of even Battleships!

At 1750 metres long and triple a Battleship’s displacement, Dreadnoughts are the most powerful warships ever produced by mankind. Their prodigious firepower allows a single one to engage and annihilate a small fleet unassisted. Commanded by only the most decorated Admirals, each of these mighty vessels is a legend in its own right. The London class packs a staggering array of conventional mass drivers - fifty, to be exact. The rarer Washington class can unleash a swarm of bombers equivalent to an entire carrier taskforce.

Frigates are small, fast combat vessels designed primarily for flanking and first strike missions. They are the most common fighting ship type present in most fleets in the Reconquest. Some variants also provide vital support roles complementing the efforts of the main fleet.

Although stalwarts like the Beijing continue to be built, the Admiralty wanted new capabilities, modernity, and lethality. Launched in 2673, UCMS Hanoi was the first of this new breed of monsters to lumber from Niccolum’s yards. The embodiment of focused colonial naval architecture, the Hanoi is built around twin UF-12000 mass drivers, making it a supreme capital ship killer.

This can be used to assemble two Battleships for your UCM Fleet. The first is the Dehli, this heavy carrier ship can drop large forces from orbit on it's bulk landers and still deal out mass firepower to keep the enemy at bay. Alternatively the kit can be assembled as the Hanoi, this ship sacrifices launch assets due to the massive UF-12000 Twin Mass Driver. This weapon can cripple any ship no matter the size.

Within the mighty UCMF, ships of light tonnage contribute the largest numbers and the greatest tactical flexibility. These mainstays come in dozens of classes such as the Rekyavik, a fast and lethal hunter, to the Vienna, a tough defender.

Many offer unique and useful capabilities such as the Lysander which specialises in stealth or the Santiago’s atmospheric strike power. Most are specialist vessels that excel at certain missions while offering the economy and evasiveness that comes with their compact size.

The Lysander class Lighter has been a lynchpin in the UCM’s covert ops since it entered service in 2669. It is the UCMF’s first fully cloaked warship, pushing multiple 1st gen classified stealth systems to their current limits of scale. The class is equipped for extended infiltrations including limited surface landings to scout potential invasion sites and support Resistance groups.
Initially the class was Level-6 classified and generally reserved for Marine Force Black - the UCM’s most elite troops under the Office of Naval Intelligence. Rumours circulated among the admiralty, where demands for access to such a tool grew from whispers into shouts. As the Battle for Earth loomed, the Lysander’s existence was confirmed and production ramped up. While still precious assets, limited numbers are now available to support regular frontline operations and first strike incursions.

With superlative stealth capabilities, this little ship is the perfect special ops craft.

Cast in a single piece, the model has fine detail and a smooth canopy synonymous with UCM design. Lysanders have Full Cloak and a Signature of 0", which makes them some of the stealthiest ships in the game - rivals even to Scourge! The Lysander has bays of Dropships and can even scan Clusters, making it a valuable target for your opponents, who will have to dedicate significant resources to dealing with these outliers.

The Istanbul is a typical naval defence monitor. Frigate-sized, it features armour as thick as a battleship’s and low speed to match. UCM Monitors achieve this through dispensing with Foldspace capability; they must be brought into system by tugs - large vessels under the auspices of the Fleet Logistical Corps. Once in system, its undersized, overstretched sublight thrusters slowly get the monitor into position.
This massive sacrifice of mobility also frees up considerable power for weapons, allowing the Istanbul to be over-gunned for its relatively small size. It features a massive UF-B-9000 mass-driver, in a unique, rotating mount; supporting its defensive role. This allows the Istanbul to easily engage targets in higher orbital layers or directed towards the surface for bombardment.
The Vienna mounts an anti-ship laser - the smallest UCM ship to be able to do so - due to its otherwise low power requirements. It also fits into a quite different role: that of battleship escort. Used in this way, its laser serves the useful secondary purpose of heating the target, assisting the much larger ship’s gunnery. Given this application, the Vienna also mounts additional point-defence clusters for limited aegis capability.

These small ships are slow moving, and struggle to manoeuvre, but make up for that by targeting between Low and High Orbit without penalty, and having unparalleled armour for that size of ship.

The Istanbul has a UF-8-9000 Mass Driver, which is a ludicrous weapon for a ship of its size, usable either as a regular weapon or a Bombardment system, providing danger for all orbital layers. The Vienna on the other hand is faster and offers both Aegis (4) and the Mamba Laser - the smallest Burnthrough laser in the game! With the traditional Burnthrough and Flash, it's a great weapon for softening up enemy ships and leaving them vulnerable to larger vessels.

Rather then bringing arms to bear, these stations pack launch assets that can support the rest of the UCM fleet. Due to the attrition the UCMF suffered during the Battle for Earth, several manufacturers have gained lucrative military contracts. The Titania Aerospace Corporation continues to innovate and is now capable of producing small quantities of combat capable cruisers.

The Titania New Rio and New Berlin (named after the cities on Titania) are the product of the newly operating Titania Fleet Systems. It's two flagship cruisers are optimisations on already existing designs, the Rio and Berlin. Matching their combat performance blow for blow, the Titania variants offer a greater operational lifetime, reducing time spent undergoing refits in drydock.

While deployed in small numbers, the maintenance cost of smaller engagements and general wear and tear is a great improvement over their Nicolum counterparts. Despite this the UCMF is slow to adopt these efficient designs, due to the lack of spare parts and no compatibility with current UCM designs.

These ships offer an alternate visual style but still follow the normal rules for the UCM Rio and Berlin cruisers.

The Ace of Hearts is a consiumate professional. Having worked his way up from a lowly Hobgoblin Squire, Ace of Hearts is one of the most handsome, recognisable faces in The Keep.

One of RUMBLESLAMS biggest heartthrobs is no pushover. Being an excellent brawler and grappler makes him adaptable. The Heart Stopper will take the opponent's breath away and his Coronary Clutch will keep them Dazed in place.

Said to be the oldest wrestler in the Keep, the Knight of Darkness has been in over 200 Championship matches and currently holds the record for most second-place prizes.

Years of wrestling have made the Knight of Darkness a consistent performer, this can be seen in his stats, as the majority have a +1. This prowess is continued in his move sets, making them extremely powerful. For example, the Limb Lop Arm Lock is arguably one of the best grapples in the business.

The Vow of Invincibility keeps wrestlers resurrecting and in the fight for longer. Years of beatings have made the Knight of Darkness extra durable.

Hobgoblins constantly aspire for knighthood, though their enthusiasm gives them a high attrition rate. Managers will knight any Hob skilled enough, even those that have gone slightly feral.

Managing the charge is a Goblin Manager, ready to strike a tempting deal. Sir Pipsqueak is a diminutive knight, but makes up for his small stature with strong vows and a lot of gumption.

Having taken up vows of her own, Lady Hob takes to the ring to sour the crowd to her opponents. Sir Heater riles up the crowd, not that a team this fabulous needs help to woo the audience. The Cavalry stomps into the ring, an expert at rope attacks.

Stubby used to be a detective before becoming a RUMBLESLAM superstar! Some say she's still on the case, trying to track down the criminal that keeps turning her favourite bakeries into health food shops.

For a Weight one, Stubby packs a punch. A Great stat line and some nasty signature moves such as the Diving Slayer Axe Handle, make Stubby the ultimate slayer. 

If the crowd gets behind her she will Break into Song and have all wrestlers Dazed and losing their minds. Her questionable stakes make pinning the largest of opponents no trouble, this is made even easier by being the Chosen One.

To the east of Shortreach lies the province of Halfheim, and among it, its capital of Little Skjarr. Halfheim boasts a large (if not majority) population of fierce warrior women known as the Shieldmaidens. It is these brave halflings who act as a gate to the dreaded forces of the Infernal who threaten Shortreach from below and lands beyond while simultaneously also bordering the Roughlands and its inhabitants from above. As such, each warrior from Halfheim is trained from a young age in the ways of combat.

The proud Shieldmaidens favour a more aggressive approach to their jousting, riding upon mighty walrus that give them a bonus to their Strike Scores. In addition, most of the Shieldmaiden knights boast abilities that further amplify their prowess in combat. 

All of this power comes at a cost however. As I’m sure you can imagine, getting a walrus to go anywhere fast on land is a tall order, and Shieldmaiden knights can quickly find themselves outpaced and struck from behind!

It’s not just halflings and humans who make their home in the Sapphire Oasis. Out in the dunes themselves, dwell the Desert Elves. A mysterious people who seem to be able to disappear back into the sands just as quickly as they emerge from them. This in part is due to their powerful sorceresses, who control the desert’s fury and bend it to their own will. Kaylessa Sandweaver is one such wizard, and she makes sure to bring the dunes with her wherever she jousts.

Mounted atop her terrifying Velocigator comes Kaylessa Sandweaver, a Renown 3 wizard for the Sapphire Oasis. While she may be on the fragile side, she finds some protection in her high Jousting Skill and Sand Veil trait, allowing her to Allocate a decent amount to Block causing her opponent to re-roll Strike dice. That is if the opponent even gets to strike! Her vicious Velocigator provides her with an extra free Initiative dice while her second unique trait “Dune’s Fury” provides her with additional striking force!

THE DAEMON CLASS BATTLESHIP

The Daemon class battleship and its sister class the Dragon are undoubtedly the oldest designs of starships still in service with the Scourge navy, behind the rarely seen Super Dreadnoughts. Their segmented hulls and undulating forms are quite different from most modern Scourge ships and the extent of their pitting, battle scars and general ageing have resulted in dating estimates of between 500 and 2000 years old for some examples. The disturbingly organic prow of the Daemon class is laced with oculus weapons and tipped with a pair of furnace cannons, making these veteran slaughterers among the most potent ships the hated aliens have to throw at mankind.

THE DRAGON CLASS BATTLESHIP

Similar to the Daemon, the Dragon class battleship is a truly ancient behemoth that has weathered the centuries to visit devastation and misery on countless subjugated races. While the Daemon is equipped solely with conventional ship-to-ship weapons, the Dragon includes a pair of cavernous hangar bays, lairs for roosting fighters and bombers. It also carries a pair of enormous Scourge torpedoes - capital ship killing superweapons against which there is little defence save fleeing the Dragon’s inexorable advance.

THE JOHANNESBURG CLASS BATTLECRUISER

Following the success of the experimental Atlantis program, the Johannesburg class was designed around an entirely new hull created for the specific requirements of battlecruisers. Its primary armament is a pair of huge quad UF-6400 mass driver turrets, a more potent array of this calibre than a Beijing class battleship. It also features launch capacity equivalent to a Seattle class Fleet Carrier. In combination with the speed necessary to keep up with cruisers, it is a superlative and flexible killing machine.

THE PERTH CLASS BATTLECRUISER

The Perth class dispenses with the largest mass drivers in favour of an enormous Viper super-heavy anti-ship laser, one of the largest weapons ever to be mounted to a UCM vessel. This colossal weapon takes up over half the ship's length. It is devastating if unsubtle when fired and fully capable of neatly slicing a cruiser in two. The Viper's obvious energy signature necessitates use by a skilled captain if enemy retribution is to be eluded. The massive generators and power storage facilities needed to feed this beast of a weapon precludes the launch bays featured in the Johannesburg, although the Perth compensates by doubling the UF-4200 mass driver armament of its sister class.

Having harnessed the power of the Rent for themselves, the Doctors of the Ospedale want to push their experiments to the limits of what is possible. Looking to discover where the monstrous Rashaar come from, a new subsection of the Ospedale has opened, designated as the Tide Research wing.

Headed by the Doctors of the Tides, the Doctors have captured Rashaar specimens and have been able to successfully implant gills into human test subjects. Even more groundbreaking, the Tide Research wing has discovered a truth about the Rent that, once revealed, will change Venice forever.

This box is led by a Doctor of the Tides sporting a huge diving suit, powered by a madness crystal and wielding a trident capable of skewering any sea creature they come across. Assisting the Doctor is a Marine Biologist, a specialist in Rashaar physiology, sporting gills and fins to traverse the depths faster.

A Harvester waits aboard the ship to reel in any caught specimens whilst a Diving Assistant uses a smaller trident to protect their master during the expeditions underwater. Finally, proving to the Ospedale that the experiments are working, a Mermaid is a human stitched together with a fish to create a horrifying affront to nature.
