PHR vessels of light tonnage are highly advanced, resilient killers. Some, like the Ariadne, Castor, and Echo, are focused gun platforms built to excel and survive in a specific tactical position, be that defensive or offensive. Others though are specialists which offer unique and useful capabilities. The Ourania exists solely to assist the fleet in targeting, and the Pollux is a dedicated escort.

Others, such as the Jason and Odysseus blockade runners, offer combat speeds far exceeding most PHR ships to penetrate any defence early in an engagement or to react
with lightning force. PHR cutters are especially fast and can even outrun most Shaltari ships.

The general performance profile of a typical defence monitors fits the PHR well – that of high armour and low speed.

The Castor, much like its Colonial opposite number - the Istanbul - features heavy calibre mass drivers, able to lay down considerable cross-orbital defensive fire. Its vertical hull is quite unusual for a PHR ship, and allows these weapons to pivot around a central arc.

Although based on the Castor class monitor’s superstructure, the Pollux is officially classified as an escort frigate, due to its mission profile. This class was designed exclusively for close-protection missions around bulky, high value targets, where its low speed would still be sufficient to keep up. The Pollux excels at this mission through extensive point-defence arrays – enough to make it extremely difficult for any strike craft or close action attacks to get through.

The Pegasus makes its kills though deploying swarms of armed nano-drones, quick and tiny enough to be difficult for point defences to counter. Meanwhile the Ourania is a highly-specialised, unarmed vessel that uses its oversized, advanced targeting link to relay gunnery information to larger ships towards the rear, greatly increasing their effective range.

The Pegasus Nan-Hive Cutter is a sleek and smooth ship, focusing on that classic PHR smooth armour plate. With Regenerate that never gets Crippled, this ship will stay in the fight long past its welcome, aggravating your opponents. The PHR is an ever advancing enigma, whatever these cruisers were designed for is beyond any intelligence report the UCM has access to. Only being seen during the Battle for Earth performing seemingly clandestine operations, meeting any questions from the Admiralty with staunch silence.

The Prototype Bellerophon is a more bulky variant of the standard PHR Bellerophon cruiser. Only being seen in a scant few engagements, the UCM has little combat data on the performance of these ships. Due to their recent sightings, the Admiralty has designated these as "prototype" ships.

The Prototype Orpheus seems to be based on the same hull type as the Prototype Bellerophon. This version of the Orpheus has its bulk lander bays tucked underneath the armour on the upper hull section. This offers excellent protection from enemy attacks, though requires a different flight path to ground than the standard Orpheus would require.

These ships offer an alternate visual style but still follow the normal rules for the PHR Bellerophon and Orpheus cruisers.

The Sarpedon class has been observed on multiple occasions at the head of so-called 'Javelin' strikes - lightning assaults on certain, enigmatic surface positions before rapid and unexplained retreats. Some suggest that limited ammunition payload may explain this, but senior operatives of the Office of Naval Intelligence suspect that's just wishful thinking.

Following the same design ethos as their dreadnoughts, all of the Sarpedon battleship’s main weapons are energy-based. Firstly, a linked pair of Meganova lasers provide superlative ship-slicing capability - even another battleship may be crippled by a single, sustained burn. Secondly, two hull-mounted multi-lance lasers can bracket and pulverise smaller ships with frightening ease.

The Kairos class has only just been observed in combat, and it’s superstructure suggests it is part of the Grand Fleet’s new family of battleships. The Kairos forgoes the Meganova lasers in favour of additional drives for a massive increase in combat speed. It uses battleship-grade munitions which can inflict crippling damage to any target. Once in the fray, the class’ hull-mounted multi-lance lasers can mop up any escort vessels fleeing the flaming wreck of the Kairos’ latest victim.

The Rhadamanthus has been operating since just prior to the opening salvos of the Battle For Earth. Unlike the other vessels, the Rhadamanthus uses the PHR’s older power core structure, most likely because it was rushed into service. Augmenting the fearsome neutron missiles with even more close action weaponry, this is the PHR’s most aggressive battleship, since these weapon’s low power consumption allow it to achieve the same blistering thrust as the Kairos.

The PHR Homeworlds are still a mystery to the UCM. However, since securing a foothold on Tlalocan and forming an uneasy alliance during the Battle for Earth, the PHR have started to secure their place in the system. With that comes forward bases. Sleek and elegant, as befitting the PHR, their Space Stations are things of deadly beauty.

With long smooth armour panels and a complete ring that seems to defy gravity, there's no mistaking this space station for anything but PHR design.

The Amazon, Argonaut, and Myrmidon are pre-war variants of the more common Trident Grand Battleship. While all based off of the same hull, many of these ships are entirely unique.

The Amazon sports the longest and highest calibre weapon ever built into a human starship, The Annihilator. This massive mass driver is backed up by a pair of heavy vent cannons and a salvo of close action missiles for incredible, yet cumbersome killing power.

The Argonaut is a ship much more suited to longer range, less combat heavy duties. Its broadside artillery cannons can pummel ships under a staggering volume of shots, while a limited number of torpedoes seek out heavier targets, all backed up by four close action missile turrets. The Myrmidon is an all rounder, with a pair of forward mounted heavy vent cannons and a gargantuan scanning array replacing the Argonaut's torpedoes.

The Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins are some of the earliest human starships still in service; dating back to the late 24th century, they were designed for endurance exploration. Every UCM Colony was discovered by hit and miss expeditions, requiring many semi-random foldpace jumps until a usable world could be found, explored and given a node. Such dependable hardiness ensured three centuries’ service. In size and capability they equal a modern destroyer, though in displacement they are more akin to cruisers due to multiple redundancies, cavernous storage and antique tech.

With a chunky design the out-bulks most other ships of their class, you can tell that these are Resistance ships! The Armstrong is armed with a deadly HF-6 Clearance Laser which - while useful in the long task of asteroid clearance, is put to much better use against enemy ships, offering Resistance an option for Burnthrough! The Aldrin design is the "standard" colony ship in the old EAA, and while it doesn't have much offensive capability, it is able to drop Bulk Landers from Atmosphere. Finally the Collins uses its extensive refuel and repair bays to keep friendly fighters in the air for longer - a useful tactic indeed for Resistance's Point Defence!

The Senator was classified at the time of the Scourge invasion and for good reason. Armed with deadly VX nerve agent torpedoes, the class was an affront to many EAA government cornerstones. The Triumvir has been one of the most valued ships to the Resistance since escaping the Scourge invasion.

Shipyards mostly being a lost luxury, any repairs had to be run in the void with the help of other ships - the Triumvir’s specialty. The Phalanx is armed with long broadsides of transition mass drivers and four Titanmetall 9K mass drivers in two traversable turrets. In combination, the class can unleash withering fire against multiple targets, given the right positioning.

The Tribune’s firepower comes from two conventional artillery cannon turrets and an increased close action capability, as well as a single mass driver turret. However - unusually for a full combat ship of this size - it features capacity for bulk landers and a flight deck, making it a fleet carrier as well. In combination, the Tribune is a jack of all trades, able to adapt to fluid combat situations better than most ships.

These mighty vessels once boldly plied new space, often commanding smaller exploration fleets on random jump expeditions. Unlike most ships, whole sections of superstructure can be swapped out for specialist modules, including weapons, storage, hangars, refineries, factories, cores and even vast bio-domes to seed empty planets with Earth’s fauna and flora.

Although the Resistance does operate corvettes, very few survived the Scourge invasion. Being designed to operate from atmosphere, they were the very furthest ships from any jump point and had to face the first waves of Scourge corvettes and Strike Carriers. Those that did escape were generally forced to withdraw early on due to combat damage.
However, such small ships require modest orbital slips to construct. As a result of the obvious need to protect their Strike Carriers, many Resistance fleets with the resources have attempted to build new ones, with mixed success. Certainly, the Vega Scrapfleet has proved capable, and of course Kalium builds these hunter-killers in large quantities. The Munifex is a fairly typical corvette – fast, atmospheric-capable and designed to kill Strike Carriers, as well as their opposite numbers. It is armed with specialist missiles, much like the UCM’s Santiago class.

Cruisers are the most common size of capital ship and form the backbone of almost every fleet fighting in the Reconquest. They offer an excellent and flexible combination of speed, firepower and versatility. The standard cruiser hull is so ubiquitous that its design has been redefined many times for a wide variety of roles.

Frigates are small, fast combat vessels designed primarily for flanking and first strike missions. They are the most common fighting ship type present in most fleets in the Reconquest. Some variants also provide vital support roles complementing the efforts of the main fleet.

The Centurion was the most common standardised vessel of cruiser tonnage in the pre-war EAA Terran Grand Fleet, where as the Gladiator was a limited production test-bed for Vent Cannon technology. In those days the definition of Cruiser was somewhat broader; today, such a bulky vessel is designated as a Grand Cruiser, a classification not really in use with the UCMF. In bulk (though not in firepower), these ships are more akin to a modern Heavy Cruiser. The two have  truly excellent ceramic armour plating that outclasses all but defence monitors in the modern UCMF.
The Centurion's simple but effective all-gun primary armament provides an excellent blend of destructive power and reliability. Its broadsides of transition mass drivers, alongside an oversized twin pure mass driver turret require low weapon maintenance - a welcome factor for the Resistance.
The Gladiator on the other hand trades the mass drivers for Heavy Vent Cannons: dangerous weapons that the UCM long gave up on due to the number of accidents and dangerous internal
meltdowns caused. The Resistance has been able to overlook these flaws, as Vent Cannons are especially devastating. Such power is particularly attractive to Kalium – the rogue Colony has produced fully three times the number of this class than were laid-down before the Scourge invasion.

This set contains 1 Resistance Grand Cruiser, able to be built as either a Centurion or a Gladiator. This brand new Earth-pattern ship supersedes the older Exclusive miniature we produced, moving its turret to the top, and adding a new front keel reminiscent of the rest of the Resistance range.

With extremely heavy armour and devastating weaponry, these ships bring a lot to your games, and will quickly become a priority target for your opponents! The Centurion class is more reliable in its damage output (and doesn't hurt itself!), but the Gladiator will surely find a home due to its outrageously destructive Heavy Vent Cannons.

Despite maintaining existing pre-war designs, the shipyards of Kalium have made little in the way of innovation. That was until the Battle for Earth, where Kalium shipyards made efforts to "brand" their new refined ships following losses.

The Kalium KNC-5 Line Cruiser is a Kalium designed light cruiser. These ships are a refinement over the pre-war ships that Kalium had been producing in vast numbers. Now more indicative of the brutalist design aesthetic that permeates Kalium designs. The KNC-5 Line Cruiser is equipped with two Vent Cannon Turrets as well as NC-16 Missile Banks.

While the KNC-5 is geared towards risky close range combat, the KNC-12 offers a more supportive role within the Kalium fleet. This Fleet Carrier has a full broadside of launch bays, with prodigious fighter and bomber compliment, and can support its wings with a top mounted Vent Cannon Turret.

These ships offer an alternate visual style but still follow the normal rules for Resistance Light Cruisers with the appropriate loadout.

The Resistance employs a huge variety of light tonnage vessels, and many offer unique capabilities not seen in capital ships. Also, being improvised forces, merchantmen inherited by the Resistance are often jerry-rigged to carry swarms of remote-operated fire ships.

Developed from the cruiser class ship, the Space Stations give the ships of the resistance a base among the stars. The Astrobotanical Outpost puts out a signature that no enemy fleet can ignore, drawing them away from Resistance ships.

The Resistance is finally able to assist their Fleets with the addition of the new space stations, each one providing greatly needed support.

The Resistance Grand Station provides huge fire support through the use of its Heavy Vent Cannon and dual pair XN-31-S Mass Driver Turret, giving an area of threat that no enemy ship will want to enter. This Kit can also be assembled as the Resistance Astrobotanical Outpost, still posing the Heavy Vent Cannon that can crack open any nearby ship, however this ships main role is to use its Signature Bloom to hide friendly ships.
