Running Wild introduces mounted combat to Zombicide: Undead or Alive, featuring 6 new Survivors that have the ability to go on foot, or on horseback, each mode with its own miniature. Riders are faster, stronger, and can evade zombies, but cannot enter buildings. If you have to dismount, be sure to protect your trusty steeds! 

Running Wild also comes with the Nightmare Horse Abomination, a noble mount infected with the zombie disease. Driven mad by its mere presence, zombies become stronger than ever!

House Baratheon’s claim to the Iron Throne is made all the stronger by King Stannis Baratheon being the only king to face the growing threat beyond the Wall. In the field, King Stannis is a juggernaut, rallying his forces to stand against ever-growing odds. Of his loyal retainers Justin Massey, Dale Seaworth, and his squire, Bryen Farring, stand amongst his most skilled commanders. Off the field but of even equal value is his wise counselor Maester Cressen, and even the court fool, Patchface, proves his value to his king with his bizarre but insightful mutterings.

Whether commanding units of their own or standing united around King Renly Baratheon in support of his claim, the heroes of the Rainbow Guard comprise some of the most skilled warriors to take the field in the War of the Five Kings. They count among their number Ser Loras Tyrell, Ser Robar Royce, Lord Bryce Caron, Ser Emmon Cuy, Ser Guyard Morrigen, Brienne of Tarth, and Ser Parmen Crane. Each a capable commander in their own right, they are at their most formidable standing together with King Renly himself on the field, not just for their expertise, but as a symbol for all King Renly’s troops to rally behind.

House Martell’s Sand Skirmishers turn their doctrine of high mobility into a deadly dance of blade and bow. Their light armor allows them superior speed, rivaling that of the fastest enemy units, and their training allows for deadly hit-and-fade attacks, all under a rain of incoming arrows. If locked down in a protracted melee, Skirmishers can hold their own as well as any light unit, but a wise commander will free them as soon as possible, allowing their dance to begin anew. They work particularly well savaging enemy lines already engaged with Martell Spearmen.

House Martell rules the desert, plains, and badlands of southern Westeros under the Sunspear banner. Their troop are garbed in desert robes under light armor, and rank among the fastest forces in the War of the Five Kings. House Martell’s doctrine of battle is to strike fast, strike hard, and evade counterattack. Their Spearmen and Skirmishers form the bulk of their forces, while the elite Dune Vipers fill a flanking and pinning role. But nothing embodies the might of House Martell so much as its leadership. Prince Doran rules the great house from the Sunspear while Prince Oberyn leads from the front. Areo Hotah’s valor has seen many battles won by strength-of-will alone, and the political machinations of Ellaria Sand keep enemies guessing where and when House Martell will strike next.

Sunspear Dervishes raise House Martell’s doctrine of high mobility to a fine art. Their training allows them to rapidly engage, strike hard, and just as rapidly disengage to either prep for another run or choose a more opportune target. Enemies so besieged are often so rattled by the spinning, whirling dance of blades that their own response is badly hampered. While Dervishes can hold in a melee for a time, they’re best kept on-the-move or working together with other Martell units to wear down a particularly determined foe.

House Martell’s famous Sunspear Royal Guards are few in number but count among the best-trained units across all of Westeros. Their adaptive style lends itself well to both offensive and defensive initiatives, and while their armor is heavier than most Martell units, their physical conditioning allows them to keep pace. As a hard center to a Martell vanguard, the Royal Guards have no match in Martell forces, and their flexibility lets them seize the initiative on the field as the tide of battle shifts.

In far-off Essos, Queen Daenerys Targaryen rules over a court rife with intrigue. But while her subjects may involve themselves in plot after plot against each other (and indeed against the Queen herself), they stand united against their enemies in the field. With advisors and councilors such as Mirri Maz Duur, Hizdahr Zo Loraq, the scribe Missandei, and the mysterious Quaithe, the Dragon Queen sows confusion upon her enemies, while her commanders Marselen and Skahaz Mo Kandaq keep their troops in line, both by example and the whip’s bloody lash.

Every House requires troops of all types in the wars that happen throughout Westeros. Allied with House Greyjoy, House Ironmaker’s heaviest are the ones that bear their name, the Ironmakers. They wear heavy scale armor over boiled leather, letting them turn most blows aside. Though not as heavily armored as some of House Baratheon or Lannister’s forces, they still form a strong center for any battle line.

Zombicide: Gear Up is a cooperative flip-and-write game where 1 to 6 players take on the role of Survivors fighting for their lives during the zombie apocalypse. The Survivors are an elite of combatants that have taken to the streets overrun with the undead. There, they must fend off the hordes of Zombies that spawn and move toward them until the Boss appears. This is when the Survivors must achieve their final goal: Kill the Boss and end this zombie invasion!

Play as a team with your friends, as survivors of a zombie invasion in the Old West, with an action twist! Zombies are played by the game itself, using simple rules and a deck of cards. Find weapons, kill zombies, build your Survivors’ adrenaline to unlock their true potential. The more zombies you kill, the more of them are coming!

Equipped with the finest plate armor, the Casterly Rock Honor Guard’s high defensive capabilities allow them to hold the line while exploiting opponents’ vulnerabilities and instilling them with panic. When facing the Honor Guard, opponents with Condition tokens should think twice, lest they wish to suffer the full might of the Honor Guard’s ‘Lannister Oppression’ ability!This unit includes a Sentinel Enforcer attachment. When attached to the unit, it provides players the Order Ability, ‘Taunt’ to coerce opponents into attacking the Honor Guard.

The Golden Company Crossbowmen have the ability to fire at long and short range to whittle down the enemy and cause Sundering before engaging with their short swords. In addition, they may perform the Order: Sentinel, allowing them to move towards Attackers that are engaging with ally forces. Their versatility makes them useful to any Faction that requires units to bolster their forces.
