Sunspear Dervishes raise House Martell’s doctrine of high mobility to a fine art. Their training allows them to rapidly engage, strike hard, and just as rapidly disengage to either prep for another run or choose a more opportune target. Enemies so besieged are often so rattled by the spinning, whirling dance of blades that their own response is badly hampered. While Dervishes can hold in a melee for a time, they’re best kept on-the-move or working together with other Martell units to wear down a particularly determined foe.

House Martell’s famous Sunspear Royal Guards are few in number but count among the best-trained units across all of Westeros. Their adaptive style lends itself well to both offensive and defensive initiatives, and while their armor is heavier than most Martell units, their physical conditioning allows them to keep pace. As a hard center to a Martell vanguard, the Royal Guards have no match in Martell forces, and their flexibility lets them seize the initiative on the field as the tide of battle shifts.

In far-off Essos, Queen Daenerys Targaryen rules over a court rife with intrigue. Every House requires troops of all types in the wars that happen throughout Westeros. Allied with House Greyjoy, House Ironmaker’s heaviest are the ones that bear their name, the Ironmakers. They wear heavy scale armor over boiled leather, letting them turn most blows aside. Though not as heavily armored as some of House Baratheon or Lannister’s forces, they still form a strong center for any battle line.

Zombicide: Gear Up is a cooperative flip-and-write game where 1 to 6 players take on the role of Survivors fighting for their lives during the zombie apocalypse. The Survivors are an elite of combatants that have taken to the streets overrun with the undead. There, they must fend off the hordes of Zombies that spawn and move toward them until the Boss appears. This is when the Survivors must achieve their final goal: Kill the Boss and end this zombie invasion!

When facing the Honor Guard, opponents with Condition tokens should think twice, lest they wish to suffer the full might of the Honor Guard’s ‘Lannister Oppression’ ability!This unit includes a Sentinel Enforcer attachment. When attached to the unit, it provides players the Order Ability, ‘Taunt’ to coerce opponents into attacking the Honor Guard.

The Golden Company Crossbowmen have the ability to fire at long and short range to whittle down the enemy and cause Sundering before engaging with their short swords. In addition, they may perform the Order: Sentinel, allowing them to move towards Attackers that are engaging with ally forces. Their versatility makes them useful to any Faction that requires units to bolster their forces.

By controlling the Tactics Zone on the Tactics board, knowing Commanders can harness the full use of their Swordsmen’s Tactical Strike, allowing them to Attack with their highest Attack Die Value.

This unit comes with a Golden Company Officer attachment that has the ability to prevent the unit from falling prey to enemy Orders, Tactics cards or Influence. When attached, it also allows the unit to restore Wounds after passing Morale Tests.

Under the right guidance, the Golden Company War Elephants have the potential to wreak havoc on the battlefield. These armored beasts can take up to 8 Wounds and have the ability to charge and viciously Stomp over enemy troops, causing unblockable hits.

Among the most powerful Skinchangers beyond the Wall, Varamyr Sixskins commands a huge snow bear, three wolves, a shadowcat, and an eagle simultaneously. In battle he rides astride his great snowbear, commanding his various beasts in coordinated attacks. Nothing escapes his eagle’s gaze, nor his shadowcat’s patient stalking. Any that approach his person face a savage mauling. One may defeat the individual creatures, but Varamyr will find more. To face an ordinary skinchanger is to square off against a skilled combatant with their creature’s strength backing them up. To face Sixskins, one faces an entire unit unto themselves.

Armored with only their faith, and armed only with deadwood cudgels and other detritus from a storm-wracked shore; the Drowned Men make surprisingly effective support for followers of the Kraken banner. Their presence in battle signifies the Drowned God’s blessing, bolstering men to fight past their wounds and strike all the harder against their foes. While few in number, the drowned Men’s faith is such that they can survive even killing blows. That said, strong as their faith may be, a wise commander should not be putting these fanatics in the vanguard. Working with flankers or in direct support of the line ensures the Drowned God’s blessings are shared equally among his people.
