By controlling the Tactics Zone on the Tactics board, knowing Commanders can harness the full use of their Swordsmen’s Tactical Strike, allowing them to Attack with their highest Attack Die Value.

This unit comes with a Golden Company Officer attachment that has the ability to prevent the unit from falling prey to enemy Orders, Tactics cards or Influence. When attached, it also allows the unit to restore Wounds after passing Morale Tests.

Under the right guidance, the Golden Company War Elephants have the potential to wreak havoc on the battlefield. These armored beasts can take up to 8 Wounds and have the ability to charge and viciously Stomp over enemy troops, causing unblockable hits.

Among the most powerful Skinchangers beyond the Wall, Varamyr Sixskins commands a huge snow bear, three wolves, a shadowcat, and an eagle simultaneously. In battle he rides astride his great snowbear, commanding his various beasts in coordinated attacks. Nothing escapes his eagle’s gaze, nor his shadowcat’s patient stalking. Any that approach his person face a savage mauling. One may defeat the individual creatures, but Varamyr will find more. To face an ordinary skinchanger is to square off against a skilled combatant with their creature’s strength backing them up. To face Sixskins, one faces an entire unit unto themselves.

The Massive Darkness Upgrade Pack allows players to use their favorite Massive Darkness Heroes and Monsters in the Massive Darkness 2 Scenarios and Campaigns. It features updated cards for all the Heroes, Roaming Monsters, Mobs, and Agents from the original game, including the retail expansions, allowing players the seamless integration of all their familiar favorites.

Not to leave out the monsters, each of the original monsters have cards allowing them to be used as Mobs, Roaming Monsters, or even ... Bosses. Armored with only their faith, and armed only with deadwood cudgels and other detritus from a storm-wracked shore; the Drowned Men make surprisingly effective support for followers of the Kraken banner. Their presence in battle signifies the Drowned God’s blessing, bolstering men to fight past their wounds and strike all the harder against their foes. While few in number, the drowned Men’s faith is such that they can survive even killing blows. That said, strong as their faith may be, a wise commander should not be putting these fanatics in the vanguard. Working with flankers or in direct support of the line ensures the Drowned God’s blessings are shared equally among his people.

Highgarden, the center of power for House Tyrell, is known as a place of chivalric values. In the conflict to secure the Iron Throne following Robert Baratheon’s death, House Baratheon has called for aid and House Tyrell has answered by sending their Highgarden Pikemen. These highly trained fighters create a mobile wall of death on the battlefield, trained to perfection in the use of their pikes. When accompanied by a Pikemen Captain, their formidable force grows even stronger as the Captain coordinates every soldier’s attack, making sure the unit fights even beyond what might seem humanly possible.

House Stark has many loyal bannerman. One of the most faithful is House Karstark of Karhold. Originally founded as a small branch of the major House, whenever House Stark calls for aid, House Karstark is among the first to send troops. The most common Loyalist troops from the House are kitted out with flails and shields. But their main weapon is a steadfast belief in their cause, letting them fight on even when taking wounds that would put a regular man down. This pride in knowing what they do is right is further bolstered when the troops gain an advantage in numbers of their enemy. If goaded into a fury by a Loyalist Captain, their zeal grows, making them fight even more reliably and shaking their opponents to the core.

King Renly’s alliance to House Tyrell through marriage to the Lady Margaery has given him access to the famed Riders of Highgarden. Although not as heavily armored as most heavy cavalry, the famed Riders of Highgarden can mount a devastating charge, though like most cavalry, their weakness lies in getting bogged down in prolonged combats. Savvy commanders should take care to make the most of their flanking capabilities and speed to target exposed enemy flanks.

The Free Folk are a conglomerate group, consisting of many different northern tribes. Though they don’t all share the same ideologies or faiths, they do all have a shared goal: making a name and home for themselves in the southern parts of Westeros. Standing out from the average clansman are formidable adversaries, such as Barroq, a beast of a man who travels with his equally beastly Boar. The Great Walrus is well known for his skills in negotiation. And possibly most famous of all, Jon Snow seeks out his true destiny along the winding path that fate has taken him. Abel, the Bard, and his wife Dalla, make sure to sing their praises. These are but some of the individuals that have made a distinct name for themselves among the many faceless peoples of the Free Folk.

With Joffrey Baratheon’s ascension to the Iron Throne, House Lannister controls King’s Landing from behind the throne. With ambition as deep as their coffers, House Lannister seeks to legitimize their claim on the throne. Queen Cersei & Tommen exert their influence in the halls of power while out in the field, her brother Jaime, despite being taken hostage, still works towards the Lannister’s favor. Sir Kevan Lannister works to see his niece’s ambitions met. Meanwhile, the House’s allies such as The Mountain that Rides, Ser Addam Marbrand, Qyburn, and Ser Robert Strong work to maintain House Lannister’s grip on the Iron Throne. It will not be broken easily.

The Brotherhood of the Night’s Watch defends Westeros from the horrors that lay beyond The Wall. Despite being made up of criminals, runaways, lesser sons of nobles, and anyone that Yoren, the Wandering Crow, can recruit, they are no rag-tag group. Commanders like Cotter Pyke and Ser Denys Mallister keep recruits in line. New members like Satin take quickly to all manner of skills, while troops like Eddison Tollett and Benjen Stark proudly perform any duty that is given to them. Those initiated into The Black will fight to keep Westeros safe from those beyond The Wall.

House Stark is the last major House in Westeros’ northern reaches. The strong people of Winterfell are always prepared, the core of which is a tight-knit family, surrounded by many faithful bannermen. The House has marched to war, led by Robb, the King in the North, as he seeks revenge on those for what has happened to his father, Ned, Hand of the King, in King’s Landing. He is joined by many, such as Maege and Lyanna Mormont, Brynden “Blackfish” Tully, and Rickard Karstark, all pledging themselves to the Stark’s cause. These hardy individuals will show that House Stark’s toughness against the cold shall spread to all corners of Westeros.
