  • The Havana is the earliest type of destroyer currently in service with the UCMF, having first seen combat with the Shaltari in 2596. Its design stems from older and largely outmoded naval strategies revolving around the use of torpedoes as primary weapons.

The Vancouver class emerged from the UCMF Naval Design Bureau in the late 2640s in response to the obvious need for more cost effective fighter and bomber support than the well armed Seattle class offered.

The Kiev is an interesting vessel, in that it features a pair of super-heavy UF-9000 series mass drivers in a fixed position. These impressive weapons are heavier gauge than those mounted in almost any other UCMF warship, save the mighty dreadnoughts. The mission role of Kiev class is to hunt and kill the most heavily armoured enemy vessels with swift brutality. They are unsubtle sledgehammers and the bane of enemy flagships. Many an enemy admiral has met their ignominious deaths at the hands of this smaller adversary since its inception in the 2640s.

This set contains 3 UCM Destroyers, all able to be built as either Havanas, Vancouvers, or Kievs! There are parts to build 3 of each Havanas and Vancovers, or 2 Kievs.

The sleek design of the UCM Destroyers uses the typical fins of the UCM and arranges them in three completely distinct ways for three completely different ships! Fast and surprisingly tough, the Destroyers operate as search-and-destroy vessels, or escort carriers. The Havana's Light Torpedoes provide surprising punch, the Vancouver gives a handy (and cheap) launch vessel, and the Kiev is the UCM's Heavy Destroyer, its UF-9000 Twin Mass Driver the bane of even Battleships!

Contains 2-3 resin miniatures (depending on build) and 3 plastic Dropfleet Commander bases and flight stands.

Resin miniatures supplied unpainted and unassembled. This kit will require cleaning and assembly, and could need some small holes filled. Other ships and gaming mats are for scale purposes only.

NOTE: Provided with a multi-part Dropfleet flight stand, designed to track in-game status without the use of tokens. Miniatures supplied unassembled and unpainted.

    THE JOHANNESBURG CLASS BATTLECRUISER

Following the success of the experimental Atlantis program, the Johannesburg class was designed around an entirely new hull created for the specific requirements of battlecruisers. Its primary armament is a pair of huge quad UF-6400 mass driver turrets, a more potent array of this calibre than a Beijing class battleship. It also features launch capacity equivalent to a Seattle class Fleet Carrier. In combination with the speed necessary to keep up with cruisers, it is a superlative and flexible killing machine.

    THE PERTH CLASS BATTLECRUISER

The Perth class dispenses with the largest mass drivers in favour of an enormous Viper super-heavy anti-ship laser, one of the largest weapons ever to be mounted to a UCM vessel. This colossal weapon takes up over half the ship's length. It is devastating if unsubtle when fired and fully capable of neatly slicing a cruiser in two. The Viper's obvious energy signature necessitates use by a skilled captain if enemy retribution is to be eluded. The massive generators and power storage facilities needed to feed this beast of a weapon precludes the launch bays featured in the Johannesburg, although the Perth compensates by doubling the UF-4200 mass driver armament of its sister class.

  • Introducing the biggest ships that Dropfleet Commander has ever seen. One of the most detailed spaceship kits of all time, the UCM Dreadnought measures 195mm long, with the twin-bodied hull synonymous with UCM engineering.

This set includes parts to make either the UCM London class or the UCM Washington Dreadnought. The London has a ridiculous 20 Mass Driver Turrets, which - when going Weapons Free - can fire 40 shots. Meanwhile the Washington forgoes outright firepower for a Launch capacity of 15!

Rules for Dreadnoughts can be found in Battle for Earth.

Resin miniature supplied unpainted and unassembled with a multi-part plastic base. Note that this is an advanced modelling kit and may need small gaps filling and pieces gently heated and bent to fit.

  • The Santiago class corvette is a small, atmospheric-capable vessel of sub-frigate tonnage. These nimble, fast ships were designed for a single purpose - hunting down enemy atmospheric fleet assets. They are armed with a potent array of air-to-air missiles, utterly lethal to the frigate sized vessels that are its favourite prey. In particular, strike carriers and their precious cargo are prime targets since these strategically vital ships are shielded from the majority of enemy fire while operating in atmosphere.

Santiagos are favoured by the most aggressive captains fresh from Niccolum's Naval Academy. Atmospheric combat is not for the faint of heart as it must be fought only at close range where the small Santiago is always vulnerable to return fire. The uniquely challenging nature of these operations is a fiery crucible from which many budding captains do not return, but those that do are often destined for greatness in the future.

  • The J19 Hellhog is a truly dangerous heavy strike jumpjet, designed primarily for a ground attack role. Although it can be equipped with air-to-air missiles, it has always had a lacklustre record in dogfights.

A Fast Aircraft that can hover? Sign me up! The Hellhog Jumpjet isn't the most survivable when travelling at slow speeds, but thanks to its Tilt-Jets it can choose between manoeuvrability and survivability. Armed with twin guns known as the Satan Chaingun it can easily pull apart light vehicles, and 2 Cobra Missiles mean it can go toe-to-toe with aircraft. It can even be upgraded with a Double Missile Pod if that wasn't quite enough firepower!

  • The AT-77 Lifthawk was the ubiquitous pre-war aerial transport - many are still flying with Resistance forces today. Its muscular VTOL design allows operation from secluded outposts. This workhorse is exceptionally rugged, with multiple redundant systems and a production cost that would be inexcusable to today's UCM military planners.

The Lifthawk Dropship can carry Jacksons or all sorts of tanks in the Resistance army. They can also be fielded as the Troopship variant which trades that capacity for a big bay full of infantry. Both Lifthawks come equipped with Missile Pods which have Penetrative making them even more deadly. The Barrel Bomber is a brutal addition to any army with it being equipped with Frag Barrel, Goliath Bomb and Missile Pods it is ready to rain havoc in any situation.

  • Medic for hire, Arabelle prefers not to talk about her age, but it is clear that she is not yet fully grown. A precocious child, from the mountain city of Kajin Kai, Arabelle was studying modern medicine when most of her peers were still learning their letters. Nonetheless, she made a personal study of traditional methods, always eager to stop by any local healer, and share knowledge. As a lover of nature she spends much time researching new herbal cures and remedies. Her eagerness for medical knowledge is rivalled only by her sense of adventure. She is highly selective about the sorts of Wayfarer jobs she will take, but despite her aversion to cruelty she can sometimes be seen helping the Bondsmen, Firm and other such unsavoury people and organisations. Her reasons for doing so remain mysterious.

  • Renowned as traders and travelling mechanics, Ponya are not often found in fighting bands such as the Militia. However, Ulaya is a dangerous place, and those unwilling to protect themselves against its dangers soon find themselves victims of it. Kalen was born into a trading caravan which roamed much of the Five Lakes District and The Wash. But the life of a merchant was never truly in her soul. Every time her family passed through Skyton she was awed by the casual cool of the town Militia, far more professional and better equipped than the town militias of most other places of similar size.

Mischievous, adventurous and fearless, Kalen is something of a daredevil, favouring a rocket pack to aid her in leaping great distances, grabbing treasures or setting devious traps where necessary. However, the life of a soldier is a life of violence, and as a gentle soul, Kalen only kills as a last resort. Because of this, her favourite weapon is a large Glop Cannon, which fires a quick expanding, sticky substance which glues her enemies to the ground, slowing their movement until they fight their way out of the gluey mess.

A valued member of the Militia Crew, Kalen is usually first to volunteer for any dangerous retrieval or scouting mission, and has been integral in the success of a number of Militia operations.

  • Proud, resentful, arrogant; all of these words could be used to describe Kaneda Griss, the leader of The Firm's notorious "River Crew". But Kaneda is merely an underling, in the grand scheme of things. Disappointing son of a powerful Underboss, Kaneda was sent to Skyton to keep him out of the way.

If there was one aspect of Kaneda's personality his father was truly proud of it was that his son was tough, but in every other respect he was a disappointment.

His father wanted to train him as a successor, but it was clear from early on that the best kind of intelligence Kaneda could master was a kind of low cunning.

His father was the master of control by selectively applied violence. Kaneda was an angry thug.

Underboss Griss was a subtle tactician, carefully calculating how to improve his position and leverage his opportunities. Kaneda was impulsive and greedy.

Perhaps worst of all in his father's eyes, Kaneda never had the ambition or vision to step outside his father's house and make something for himself. Instead he lazed around, started fights, engaged in petty thievery and murder over trivial matters.

So to the River Crew with him - a gang of misfits and psychopaths who, while useful, have to be kept at arms length. Kaneda recognises the sleight only too well, and takes it out on his people all too often.

For all his faults as a leader though, Kaneda is a cunning fighter, and well suited to the command of a group as wild and dangerous as The River Crew.

  • How Lakassk ended up with the "misfit crew" is a question he constantly asks himself. By the standards of the rest of them, he’s actually quite sane. It's probable that, considering their reckless nature, Lakassk was seen as a tactical necessity: His Nova Cannon is certainly not the most subtle of weapons, but it's definitely a useful one. Firing flash-bang grenades, Lakassk is capable of shoring up even the most reckless of charges with a covering fire: and considering the Firm's general eschewing of heavy armour, that's a boon indeed.

Not, of course, that Kaneda has any awareness of this fact whatsoever. As usual his arrogant self-obsession means he gives Lakassk no credit for saving his over-privileged behind time and time again. This fact grates on Lakassk about as much as one could expect, but it is Lissz' appreciation he truly craves.

There too, unfortunately, he is unappreciated. Lissz is stealthy enough not to need his protection, although sensible enough to recognise his important role within the crew. Whether she notices and ignores his romantic advances, or is oblivious to them, is something Lakassk spends far too much time thinking about.
