The Istanbul is a typical naval defence monitor. Frigate-sized, it features armour as thick as a battleship’s and low speed to match. UCM Monitors achieve this through dispensing with Foldspace capability; they must be brought into system by tugs - large vessels under the auspices of the Fleet Logistical Corps. Once in system, its undersized, overstretched sublight thrusters slowly get the monitor into position.

This massive sacrifice of mobility also frees up considerable power for weapons, allowing the Istanbul to be over-gunned for its relatively small size. It features a massive UF-B-9000 mass-driver, in a unique, rotating mount; supporting its defensive role. This allows the Istanbul to easily engage targets in higher orbital layers or directed towards the surface for bombardment.

The Vienna mounts an anti-ship laser - the smallest UCM ship to be able to do so - due to its otherwise low power requirements. It also fits into a quite different role: that of battleship escort. Used in this way, its laser serves the useful secondary purpose of heating the target, assisting the much larger ship’s gunnery. Given this application, the Vienna also mounts additional point-defence clusters for limited aegis capability.

This set contains 3 UCM Monitors. These small ships are slow moving, and struggle to manoeuvre, but make up for that by targeting between Low and High Orbit without penalty, and having unparalleled armour for that size of ship.

This pack makes three ships, buildable as either Istanbul class Monitors or Vienna class Escort Frigates. The Istanbul has a UF-8-9000 Mass Driver, which is a ludicrous weapon for a ship of its size, usable either as a regular weapon or a Bombardment system, providing danger for all orbital layers. The Vienna on the other hand is faster and offers both Aegis (4) and the Mamba Laser - the smallest burnthrough laser in the game! With the traditional Burnthrough and Flash, it's a great weapon for softening up enemy ships and leaving them vulnerable to larger vessels.

The beginnings of the UCM were bathed in fire and blood. The alien Scourge attack on Earth and the Cradle Worlds left humanity reeling. What was left fled to the Colony Worlds to lick their wounds for 150 years. Humankind toiled for that time, building a brand new army with emerging technology.

In this militaristic state, the United Colonies of Mankind was born. Gone were the lavish ways of old Earth, replaced by frugality and utilitarianism. Now, almost two centuries later, the UCM have arrived at Earth: the focal point of their Reconquest. With militaristic, utalitarian designs, their armies favour mass production and conservation of resources, keeping vehicles small and practical, though no less deadly.

This box contains a perfect small UCM army. With 6 tank-hunting Sabres, 6 anti-air Rapiers, and 12 bases of Legionnaires all in Bear APCs, you have a solid core for an army. All of these are brought to battle in 6 of the ubiquitous Condor Dropships, which provide astounding speed and survivability.

The army is led by a Commander in a Wolf LAV. This light vehicle has been designed for all types of terrain, providing a handy mobile base, made even more maneuverable due to its Titania Pattern Raven transport Dropship.

Your opponents will struggle to hit him (only Rope attacks and Live Ammunition can target him), which allows him to skitter away at the end of the round. And don't even think about going after him with a lesser wrestler; any weak attack will send them spiralling as The Ceneleon RKOs them outta nowhere!

The Golgotha is a massively powerful beast. Made of stone and powered by the Vatican's magicks, a Summoner Priest binds the construct and helps to direct it over the course of a battle.

Martyrs are great at one thing: getting stuck into a fight! They're not so tough, and are Mindless so can't score Objectives, but with First Strike and Berserk, they're only going to get better the more the enemy hurts them. Run them in quickly and bog down your opponents.

Merchants are a familiar sight in Patricians gangs - as a Henchman choice you can take as many as you like! Armed with Inferior Pistols, they add a decent ranged attack. But their real benefit is adding 2 Command Points to your gang, ensuring your more powerful Heroes will fight as hard as possible, or encouraging their fellow Henchmen to get stuck in.

"Rise! Be born again my children, and feed!"

Newborn Strigoi might lack finesse, but they make up for it in pure rage. Although on the surface they're not the strongest vampires a Strigoi player could take, as a cheap Henchman choice, they really do bring a lot of hurt. Using Life Points as Will Points (and having to use at least 1 in each Combat action) means their Attack will be surprisingly high, and their quick Move distance means you'll never struggle to get them into combat where they're most effective.
