Samurai culture has both military and feudal culture. Everyone fits into the social pyramid where a leader had his trusted supporters under his command. They in turn had their own respective supporters under their command, and so on and so on. The Takashi retainers are all capable warriors in the service of a Takashi Samurai of a higher rank, willing to lay down their lives in service. A high ranking lord will always have at least a hand full of retainers watching and guarding them at all times, constantly scanning a crowd or appraising a seemingly harmless peasant seeking council.

Whether through a shrewd business deal or more nefarious means the Syndicate acquired the intricate, rapid, reloading mechanism showcased in their repeater crossbows. Wasupu wields this fearsome weapon with great skill and accuracy. Using the finest Minimoto steel, his bolts find the weak points in even the finest armours. On top of this Wasapu can identify the weak points of even the toughest beast.

Senpu: The only way to ascend the ranks of the Silvermoon is to show undying loyalty to one’s Oyabun, guile and cunning to advance the collective goals of your gumi and the syndicate as a whole, and finally savagely and without question removing any threats to the organisation. Senpu is a veteran of many missions and a dangerous opponent, with a target in his sights he advances upon the foe, his twin butterfly swords a blur of motion bouncing missiles aimed at him away until close enough for a flurry of blows to fell his adversary.

Akashi retired as a legend from the fighting pits having garnered renown even outside the empire. His return to the Jwar Isles has had many question the motives behind his return. He has stirred feelings in the Buto that many would prefer buried and it seems that he has become increasingly political as he has aged. Although old Yokozuna is still a threat and as in in his heyday he still does not acknowledge the idea of being beaten.

In life, Hikari was one of four sisters who found their shugenja abilities were amplified when they worked as a coven. The fateful night the sisters were offered a bargain with Yurei, the others readily accepted the power they would gain but Hikari stood firm and refused, knowing the bargain would never be anything but a yolk around their necks and a pathway to evil. The bargain was offered only to the whole coven so her sisters murdered her and accepted the bargain as three Yuta. Hikari is still powerfully linked to them so her sisters raised her as a Kairai and forced her to obey their commands but sometimes she finds the will to fight free.

Hikari’s unique connection to the Yuta means she offers even more flexibility to the Yuta box and, importantly she can use the Chaos Bolt Ki Feat and automatically win the opposed Ki test since she is Soulless. Choosing when to throw off her undead nature and assert control is key to making the best use of her profile.
